Chapter 383 - Bet

Chapter 383: Bet

After the duo left for Panagea, Anthony's followers began seriously studying the weapon as they would get rewarded if Odred liked what they selected.

And for someone like Anthony, who was a higher-up of a top-level organization, even an ordinary thing for him would be a great reward for the followers.

So, a competition began between the group, and none of them took it easily.

Time flew by, and an hour had passed.

Anthony and Odred had chosen different towns to become adventurers. Both of them had good luck, so they got a low-level town, similar to Wolfden.

The low-level town always had easy first quests for someone who knew physical fighting techniques since the citizens always strived for survival.

Anthony and Odred got almost the same quests to defend the town while there was a war going on.

It was time-consuming, but it was easy. When the first hour inside Panagea was about to over, the system alerted them about it, and since they still had five hours left, the system also informed them about it.

Anthony didn't have to think about it, and he straight away booked the next five hours.

Odred, on the other hand, thought for a few seconds since he was missing selecting the weapons and wasn't sure about what kind of weapons Anthony's followers would buy as he didn't know them. But the curiosity of a new world got the better of him, and he also decided to stay, but unlike Anthony, he only booked the next two hours.

Trihan had been itching to fight his most hated person since the day he defeated a Hygar in the training area.

Unfortunately for Trihan, the Hygar was busy, so he didn't accept Trihan's challenge. But finally today, only a few minutes had passed after Trihan left the store, he got the message from the Hygar.

The Hygar was finally free and accepted Trihan's challenge.

A smile that couldn't go spread across Trihan's face when he read the message and the location for the battle.

The next moment, the space around him began cracking, and soon it took the shape of a portal.

From outside, there was nothing but darkness inside the portal.

"Here I come," Trihan muttered and then took a step inside the portal.

***

Somewhere in the Primal dimension,

As far as eyes could see, they would only find barren and cracked land.

The next moment, out of nowhere, a portal appeared floating in the air. Soon a silhouette of a giant being stepped out of it and hovered in the air.

It was none other than Trihan, who had directly jumped hundreds of trillions of lightyears of distance in a single trip, courtesy of his affinity with Void, and the skill his father had given him.

A bitter memory flashed through Trihan's eyes when he looked across the planet he was on.

The planet was never barren, but instead, it was a life-thriving world. Unfortunately for it, here the battle between Trihan and the Hygar had happened. It not only became his only losing battle, but it also resulted in annihilating the ecosystem of the world.

For someone like Trihan, restoring it back to what it was wasn't a big deal, but Trihan had vowed to defeat the Hygar here, so the planet remained barren.

"Crack!"

"Crack!"

"Crack!"

Trihan was reminiscing his bitter memory when the sound of cracking began continuously ringing.

Trihan turned to his left and noticed the Hygar flying here.

With every wing movement, the Hygar covered a distance of several lightyears, while similarly, the space around the wings cracked open.

After the Hygar left the area, the space began restoring itself, and even then, it would take years for it to happen.

The smile on Trihan's face disappeared when he saw the Hygar flying and would reach here in the next few seconds.

He couldn't help but frown, seeing the appearance of the Hygar.

The Hygars had six snake-heads, with the wing somewhat like a Garuda, while the Hygar flying toward Trihan was totally different from the actual description of the Hygar.

He didn't have any snake-head, but instead, he had a single head, and that too was of an eagle. The wings had also grown considerably larger than any of the Hygar's wings Trihan had ever seen.

If not for the snake body, or the familiar energy, Trihan would've thought the being to be someone else.

"Oh, you still haven't removed the tattoo," A familiar laughing voice broke Trihan out of his thoughts.

"Hmph, I will have to make a new one after today," Trihan scoffed, pointing at the different appearance of the Hygar.

"Oh, it's just that I succeeded in awakening the blood of the honorable ancestor father(Garuda)," The Hygar nonchalantly replied.

Trihan's lips twitched in response to the nonchalant expression on Hygar's face, despite being the first person in the Hygar race to achieve something like this.

"So, what kind of battle do you want?" Hygar asked. The smile was nowhere to be seen, but instead, a majesty had taken its place, and there was also a hint of looking down on Trihan when he asked the question.

Trihan couldn't help but flare up, hearing the tone. Even though he had lived for so many years and had developed his mental strength, he still couldn't handle a single taunt of the Hygar.

"Don't look down on me, Xotak. I would defeat you this time," Trihan angrily responded.

"Oh, I thought, we had a deal," The Hygar known as Xotak responded, while the smile reappeared.

When the last time they fought, they had a bet that the loser would call the winner, senior.

"Hmph, let's make a new bet. If you win, I would call you big brother, and if I win, you would call me senior," Trihan ignored the previous bet and made a new one. He almost puked when he talked about the situation of Xotak winning.

"Oh, you seem very confident today," Xotak smilingly responded.

"Hmph!" Trihan scoffed. "Do you accept it or not?" He then asked.

"Why not! I would love to have a younger brother," Xotak replied. "But let's make the stakes bigger," He further added.

"What do you want?" Trihan said.

"The loser would become the lifelong student of the winner," Xotak smilingly said.

"Eh!" Trihan exclaimed in surprise as it was totally out of his expectations.
