Chapter 295 - Bidding(2)

Chapter 295: Bidding(2)

"George Heller has bid an amount of fifty-five million low soul stones, becoming the third-highest bidder," Lewis announced, while John and Harry lay there on the ground with a defeated expression on their faces.

Harry was able to stay there longer than John, but unfortunately, all his efforts came to naught like John when he failed to pick the key up.

George, like the last two participants, stayed in one of the VIP rooms. So like them, he also had the same way of appearing, and the next moment, he appeared on the stage.

George was someone who had good relations with Lewis, so they both greeted each other. Lewis didn't wish luck to George, thinking if his wishes worked, and George succeeded in picking up the golden key.

George didn't care and bent down to pick up the golden key.

"Uuugh," He groaned as he used his complete strength from the start. His face had turned white while the veins started appearing all over his body.

Time flew by, and a minute passed. Several of the veins in George's body had already ruptured due to pressure, but he still didn't give up and continued.

Like the last two participants, he had failed to even budge the golden key, let alone pick it up.

A few more seconds passed as suddenly all his body lost strength. His hands left the key, and with an unknown amount of force, he was knocked backward.

"Thud!"

With a loud sound, he crashed to the ground. If not for Lewis stopping the throw, George would've injured several people due to his crash.

George had already lost his consciousness, so he fell flat on the ground after the fall. No one even had the mood to check his health as they focused on Lewis. They wanted to know who the next participant was.

"Lewis Harrison has bid an amount of fifty-four thousand low soul stones, becoming the fourth-highest bidder," Lewis announced his name with a straight face.

Before the crowd could even understand what had suddenly happened, he bent down and grabbed the key.

Lewis didn't use his complete strength right from the start as he wanted his body to get comfortable slowly with each second.

Time flew by, and three minutes had passed.

Lewis was able to persist for longer than the last three participants, but it was only due to him slowly building strength. But at this moment, he had the same expression as the last three participants.

His face had turned white, while like other participants, his veins had also begun popping out. "Damn it!" He cursed as he went for his last attempt to pick up the golden key.

He had failed in this attempt as well, but since in his mind he had decided it to be the last, his body lost all the strength it had at that moment. His grip released the key as, like the last three participants, an unknown amount of force knocked him backward.

But unlike the others, he had already prepared for his loss since he was the first to know about this test.

Like others, he sat there on the ground for a few seconds to calm his heart and mind down. After taking a deep breath for the umpteenth time, he stood up and went to the stage as he still had things left to do.

Time flew by.

"Louise Fallor has bid an amount of three million low soul stones, becoming the four hundred and seventy eighth-highest bidder," Lewis announced the name of the next bidder.

More time flew by.

More than an hour had passed since the attempts of the participants began. There had already been more than six hundred attempts at picking up the golden key, but none of the participants until now had been even able to budge the golden key, let alone pick it up.

"Taylor Powell has bid an amount of two million and seven hundred thousand low soul stones, becoming the six hundred and thirty-second highest bidder," Lewis announced the name of the next participant.

Even though so many people had failed to even budge the key, the excitement and nervousness in the crowd still remained, seeing a new participant appearing on the stage for an attempt.

Time flew by, and two seconds passed.

Taylor wasn't even able to handle it for two seconds as his grip got loose on the key, and an unknown amount of force knocked him backward on the ground.

At this moment, only George remained on the ground other than Taylor. George still hadn't regained his consciousness, but none in the crowd even thought of helping him until now.

"Adam crane has bid an amount of one million, nine hundred thousand, eight hundred, becoming the seven hundredth bidder," Lewis announced the name of the new participant.

Adam, like the last few participants, was from the crowd sitting on the added chairs. Hearing his name, Adam stood up from his chair and came to the stage.

"Hello, senior," Adam greeted Lewis after stepping on the stage.

Lewis expressionlessly nodded in response and gestured to him to go ahead.

Adam nodded. He bent down and grabbed the golden key. Before attempting to pick it up, he prayed to all the Gods he knew in his heart to help him.

A few seconds later, he cursed the same Gods as none of them came to his help, and he was currently lying on the ground with a pain in his butt due to hard landing.

Lewis ignored Adam and continued calling out the names of the participants who had bid according to their amounts.

Time flew by. Exact two hours had passed since the attempts for the golden key began. Except for the participants around the top thirty, the most amount of time any participant spent attempting was eight seconds.

Around two thousand participants had already gotten their attempts, and neither of them had been able to pick up the golden key.

Aakesh only had around two hours left before the sun rose in Visteerna, so he wanted the auction to end as soon as possible.

Time flew by, and six more minutes had passed.

"Tyler Burton has bid an amount of nine hundred thousand, nine hundred and sixty- eight low soul stones, becoming the twenty-two hundred and thirty-third bidder," Lewis announced the name of the next participant.
