Chapter 174 - First Clear

Chapter 174: First Clear

After seeing the details of the talent he had gotten as the reward, he proceeded straight in search of another dungeon.

After walking for a few minutes, he finally came across a green dungeon.

When he reached near it, the content on the blue screen floating in front of him automatically changed.

{Dungeon Level: Green(Inferior)

Chances of clearing: 83% chance of completing it without having any injury, 12% of mild injuries, 3% chances of clearing the dungeon with severe wounds, and 2% chances of dying while fighting the leader (failing the dungeon).}

The next moment, his chances of clearing the dungeon appeared on the blue screen.

Since 83% chance without any injury was an acceptable percentage, he didn't wait and entered the dungeon.

Unlike the first dungeon, where he took months, this dungeon only took him 27 days to clear it.

Time flew by, and twenty years passed. During these past twenty years, Eris had cleared a lot of dungeons. The talent had also saved him from many terrible dungeons, as in one case, he found a white dungeon, where his chances of clearing it were zero, so if he didn't have the talent, he would've entered the dungeon and had gotten disqualified.

Currently, he was standing in front of a black dungeon, while the blue screen showed the chances he had at clearing the dungeon.

{Dungeon Level: Black (Inferior)

Chances of clearing: 0.083% chance of clearing it without having any injury, 0.02% of mild injuries,0.14% chances of clearing the dungeon with severe wounds, 98% chances of dying in the start(failing the dungeon), 1% chance of dying in the middle, and 0.8% of dying while fighting the leader.}

"Another dungeon I can't clear," Eris murmured after seeing that he didn't even have a 1% chance of clearing the dungeon.

He then took a deep breath and left for searching another black dungeon.

He could just clear more white dungeons to get stronger, but he decided against it as clearing a black dungeon would be greater than clearing several white dungeons, seeing the power difference between them.

Time flew by, and Eris's search for a month finally bore fruit.

He was currently standing in front of a black crack that didn't give him the same pressure as other black dungeons had given him in the past month.

He then focused on the blue screen floating in front of him to see whether he would need to search more or did he get his first clearable black dungeon.

{Dungeon Level: Black(Inferior)

Chances of clearing: 81% chance of clearing it without having any injury, 9% of mild injuries, 4% chances of clearing the dungeon with severe wounds, 1% chances of dying in the start(failing the dungeon), 2% chance of dying in the middle, and 3% of dying while fighting the leader.}

"Finally, a dungeon I have a chance to clear," He smilingly murmured after seeing around 90% chances of him clearing the dungeon.

Since it was a risk worth taking, Eris didn't wait and touched the black crack.

The next moment, a suction force emerged and sucked him inside the dungeon.

"Ugh, every time!" Eris groaned while clutching his head after he had entered the dungeon.

Every time, the uncomfortable feeling of getting stretched would occur when he would enter the crack despite entering the dungeons thousands of times.

He then shook his head and took a deep breath to remove the uncomfortable feeling.

After it disappeared, he focused on the scene in front of him.

A stunned expression appeared on his face as in front of him laid a field divided into four colors.

They were red, blue, gray, and white. The colors signified the element of fire, water, earth, and air, as Eris could feel the elementary particles from the surroundings.

"Do I really have a 90% chance of winning here?" Eris murmured in confusion after seeing his surroundings. He was currently standing in the gray(earth) part.

He murmured such because he could feel elements gathering around the area.

When the process ended, elemental spirits would take birth, and defeating them in their domain would be a difficult task.

As Eris had expected, the speed at which the element gathered increased, and a few moments later, several roars rang in the area.

Every division gave birth to one elemental spirit, meaning he had to face four battles at the same time.

No one would be more idiotic than him if he fought the earth spirit in the grey area without having any earth skills.

Since his talent gave him a 90% chance of clearing the dungeon and it had never predicted anything wrong, he started thinking of ways to win.

"How could it take me so long to figure it out?" The next moment, he reprimanded himself for not thinking of this right after entering the area.

While there were fields that strengthened the elemental spirits, likewise, there were fields that acted against them.

If he took the earth spirit into the white(air) field, it would be easier for him to defeat it. Similarly, he could use the opposing elements of different spirits to defeat them.

But then a problem arose for him since the field he was in was a square field, he needed to cross the red(fire) area to reach the white area, and if the fire spirit followed him, it would get stronger since the element of air supports the element of fire.

Time flew by, and three months passed.

Since the plan he had made involved several risks, he decided to take a fight against the fire spirit in the fire area. He had several fire skills/spells he had gotten as the reward, so it was the easiest opponent he could take on.

It took him two weeks to defeat the fire spirit, but right after its death, the elements gathered again, and two spirits took birth. It took him more than two months to kill those two spirits. After that, no elemental spirit emerged, and the area fell silent.

Since the fire area had now become empty, Eris could now follow through with the plan he had made three months earlier.

He baited the earth spirit to the white area and easily defeated it. Similarly, he lured the air spirit to the gray field and killed it.

Following this schedule, it took him around a few months to defeat all the elemental spirits.

Three elemental spirits from each area died, causing an elemental storm to appear in the entire area which led to the birth of a new elemental.

Eris couldn't help but feel shocked when he saw the elemental. It was an unheard of occurrence even for a being as knowledgeable as him since this violated the law of the negation of opposite elements.

The new elemental had a head made up of fire, chest made up of water, waist made up of air, and legs made up of earth elements. It also had four hands and two legs, which followed the same sequence of elements.

Eris had no time to get shocked by seeing the fire and water element next to each other and not creating any kind of negation since the newly born elemental made its move.

Time flew by, and four months passed.

Eris was lying unconscious on the ground in the pool of his own blood. He currently had the area below his waist missing.

If anyone were to see this scene from some distance, they would think that Eris had died, but if someone went close to him, they could hear his breathing.

Not far from the unconscious Eris, a red egg the size of a normal egg lay in the ground, waiting for Eris to pick it up.

The red egg also signified Eris being the first participant to clear a black dungeon.
