Chapter 203 - Teaching

"You can fly!" the orphans all exclaim at once. nick looks confused for a moment before he figures out that he forgot to mention that each tier of cultivation has certain advantages that only appear of after reaching that tier. "ah right i forget its not common knowledge yet so anyway once you reach origin core you can fly and once you reach nascent soul you get your divine sense." he explains like it was common knowledge. nick hands out the books to each of the orphans along with a little advice about whichever profession it is before sending each of them away to study on their own except mina since she required far more of attention due to her special circ.u.mstances. nick lead mina over to a table at the end of the library and sat her down before sitting across from her calmly. "first things first we need to talk about what your talent is about and what that means for your future." he says while looking serious. "now as far as I'm aware your talent is the same as my own known as nature's child , and what that means is that you are loved by the heavens themselves."

" meaning you are attuned to every element while also meaning you will not get any tribulations for cultivating until you reach void completion and even then it will never be the heavens trying to kill you only them scolding you for defying them." nick explained calmly. "whats a tribulation?" mina asked confused. nick scolded himself for not explaining very well " as you know to cultivate is to defy the heavens which the heavens usually hate so every time someone breaks through to a higher tier of cultivation the heavens punish them with what are known as tribulations." he explains seriously. "oh so like when you steal food and get your hand popped by brother joseph." mina says in understanding. "but doesn't that mean cultivating is bad?" she asked innocently. nick shook his head "that is a very debatable concept , one the side of heaven it would seem so but at the same time if it was truly bad why would heaven create things that improve cultivation. so the standard idea is that heaven only wants certain people to cultivate so if anyone else does so it makes heaven unhappy much like a parent giving their child a gift only for someone else child to take it." nick said with a sigh.

"Are we the certain people?" mina asked curiously. nick shrugged "not even i know the answer to that question though it is my theory that it's true." he said honestly. "if it's true then does that mean everyone else stole the gift meant for us?" she asked innocently. nick froze as cold sweat formed on his back "it's best if you don't say anything like that to anyone who isn't a nature's child or you will likely meet a horrible end." nick warned seriously.
