Chapter 160 - Problems

Bellania was thrilled that at the very least she could make nick sweat from temptation though she was quite upset nick didn't act on said temptation since she absolutely wanted nick for her own. the reason bellania wanted nick is simply because she wanted bragging rights for having such a handsome man not to mention her instincts told her that nick was far more than he seemed. nick of course was unaware that a women's intuition had led to the situation he was in currently. time passed quickly as nick was subjected to bellanias whims until she got bored of it an hour later and bought a few of the outfits she liked before leaving the store with nick. the two then walked through the shopping district occasionally stopping at a stall that interested bellania before moving on. bellania noticed that none of the shops seemed to interest nick so she grew curious why. "any particular reason you seem so disinterested in the shops here?" she asked not even bothering to skirt around the issue. nick shook his head "i simply don't find any of these things interesting no reason needed." he said honestly.

Bellania was not surprised by nicks answer since she didn't expect him to actually tell her the reason so she simply left it alone. after accompanying bellania for six hours nick was finally allowed to return to his residence. nick opened the heavy stone door to his residence easily before stepping inside and closing it and in a combination of mental exhaustion and carelessness nick didn't notice that he had been followed home. after closing the stone door nick walked down the stairs to the lavish dwelling below the earth and stepped into the qi gathering array before quickly falling into a meditative state. in the night a few hours later a group of people in dark clothes with face mask approached nicks residence with ill intentions. "is this the place?" a deep baritone voice asked from the front of the group. one of the masked individuals nodded "it is." they said in a neutral tone. the masked man at the front of the group nodded "the usual burn and kill strategy won't work here since this building is entirely made of stone so the only way to attempt to complete our objective stealthily is to enter the lions den." he said seriously.

The entire group visibly tensed up when their leader said this before one of them spoke anxiously "but sir surely there is another way right?" the person asked nervously. the leader sighed "i don't like it either but if we do anything else we risk drawing attention to ourselves." he said seriously. the entire group knew this was true but really hoped they didn't need to enter their targets residence since the homefield advantage would definitely work against them. the leader spoke again "enough , move up and flank either side of the entrance while i open it so only i risk getting ambushed." he said before moving towards the door to nicks residence quickly but silently. the group followed orders and flanked the entrance while the leader grabbed the grove on the door that nick used as a handle and pulled. the area was silent except for the sounds of a man straining himself , if someone were to see this scene they would be stunned to see a large individual in dark clothes not moving a stone door despite struggling his hardest.
