Chapter 267 - Tracing the coast

Nick stored away the strange object and documents before he started to follow the beach around the entire landmass he was on leaving a mark behind to know if he had been there before. nick traveled along the beach front for an entire week occasionally finding interesting bits and bobs along the way. soon he had mapped out the entire edge of the landmass he was on and figured that it was roughly as large as one of the larger continent's in his old world. if you are wondering why nick hadn't just flown up to the void to look down at the world it was because he had never actually reached the point were he could travel the void safely. nick at this moment was actually just a single qi tier below that point but this wasn't more than enough to stay in the void for more than a minute before it began to rip him apart. during his trip around the landmass nick had roughly figured out from what direction the ship pieces he sometimes found came from and was preparing to fly over the sea.

The trip across the sea would be quite dangerous since most seafaring demon beast would be far stronger than the ones on the land due to their size. ironically it was because of this size that the most powerful sea demons couldn't take over the surface as they struggled with their excess mass. nick didn't know if there was some kind of anti flight zone above the sea so he made sure to spend a few days crafting a vessel to rapidly carry him if it became necessary. once nick had finished his preparations he flew high above the sea in the direction judged the ships to have come from. the first few days of flight didn't have anything interesting happen but on the fifth nick had to flee from a massive creature that had teeth the size of cars that wanted to eat him. the creature gave up when it figured out that nick was far faster than it was after chasing him for an hour. after two more days of uneventful flying nick finally came across another landmass in the distance to which he sped up to arrive sooner. truth be told nick was growing increasingly bored of the monotonous task of continuous flying with no cultivation advancements at all.

Nick was positively thrilled when he arrived near the land he had seen because there along its coast was a bustling city. nick was so excited in fact that he had completely forgotten to take into consideration that not every civilization was friendly to foreign cultivators.. by that i don't mean cultivators from off world so much as those from literally any other kingdom or place.
