Chapter 266 - Leaving the cave

Nick finally had the confidence to try and find civilization after he finished recovering what he had lost and as a bonus tyrion had reached tier eight after waiting for nick to recover. the most interesting thing nick discovered after reattaining his cultivation level was the difference between his previous fiend god form and his current one. unlike his previous form this one had a layer of black bone like armor covering his body except the head which had changed to have sharp ears and sharper features. nick had also noticed that his bloodline had changed after he ascended again in body refinement. before it was listed as a royal bloodline whereas now it was listed as an arch bloodline and besides being able to tell that it was better than before nick could really tell what was different. the first day nick left the cave he stayed in his fiend god form for his own safety since he had no idea what to expect in this huge jungle. the second day he relaxed since he could tell that very little in this place paid him any mind so long as he continued to move along.

Nick spent an entire week traveling at full speed before he made it to an ocean but what was most surprising was that he found signs of civilization along the shore as there were pieces of broken ships littering the beach. nick used his qi to search for any papers or documents that washed up along with the pieces of the ships. unfortunately he didn't find anything of the sort though he did find a few interesting things including a skeleton that had a space ring that nick took. the space ring obviously belonged to a civilian since most of its contents were clothes and food supplies each of which nick disposed of immediately. the rest of the ring had a few documents in a foreign language that nick quickly learned with his cultivation before reading. most of the documents were trade agreements between different parties. one document however was about the odd item that nick found in the ring that looked like a scroll made of tiny metal parts with each part having an unbelievably small array on it. what had surprised nick the most however was that these thousands of arrays all seemed to be connected towards some purpose he couldn't figure out.

According to the document this scroll like item had been in this persons family for several generations none of which were able to figure out how it worked or even how to open it.. nick had to admit that this made sense since eve he who had reached tier seven in multiple professions had no clue how to open this odd thing.
