Chapter 253 - Problem

Nick was happy with how the base turned out and completely didn't notice that both jakob and millea were staring at his from the training field. "i bet fifty high grade spirit stones he won't even realize what hes done until someone mentions it." jakob said calmly to millea. "you're on , easiest fifty stones i ever earned." millea said while shaking jakobs hand firmly before the two continue watching the clueless nick. speaking of nick he had this nagging feeling that he was forgetting something important but for the life of him he couldn't figure out what. in the end nick decided it must not be that important and continued modifying the base this time he was updating the strange metal he created that functioned as the foundation of the floating base. nick found it unacceptable that the foundation of the base was a mere tier three material so he began to experiment with a fresh batch he created so he could figure out how to boost the tier of the material to at least six. after going through countless experiments nick even managed to exceed his own goal and figured out how to turn the metal into a tier eight material.

Normally this would prove problematic for crafters of a lower tier than the material but since nick was only using the stuff for its floatation property rather than its ability to be crafted into powerful equipment it wasn't a huge problem. nick used his control spell to make the base get closer to the ground before he jumped off completely ignoring his surroundings. after landing nick turned the metal foundation into a liquid with his manipulation technique while holding the earth and buildings above that completely still to prevent any damage to it. nick then went through the process to upgrade the material into its tier eight counterpart which was completely black except for the white dots that spot the entirety of the material like stars. nick named this new material flight metal mostly because he couldn't be bothered to think up a proper name for it. after recreating the foundation far better than before nick attached it firmly to the earth and buildings that he had been holding in the air completely undisturbed by his actions. once the new foundation was attached to the earth and the other arrays an amazing thing happened.

The moment the base was fully upgraded by nick adding the new foundation the entire base shuddered slightly and a pillar of light shot out of the base covering a huge distance all around as a chime rang out throughout the heavens not just on this world but across the entirety of the heavens alerting numerous experts who all turned their attention towards the source of the heavenly announcement. after the phenomenon ended nick looked horrified and quickly used his control spell to flee in his new and universally unique base.
