Chapter 129 - Letter

Time went by fast and Xi the date of Samantha's operation is fast approaching. According to the Doctor William there are no other complications so if for the remaining days before her operation it will continue to be like that then there would be no problem like before.

These days, even the doctors and nurses who are interacting with Samantha are all trying to be cautious of what they say in front of her to avoid another situation that might put her to risk more than she already is. This operation has been delayed for too long.

"Are you planning to bring Xi Ana with us when we go to the America for Samantha's operation?" Lu Nai He asked curiously.

Lu Nai He came to discuss the matters regarding the research facility about heart ailments and cancer which he will be headed. The biggest fund of this research came from Lim Yi Sheng that's why coming here to discuss the intricacies of the plan is just right.

"Yeah, I was planning to talk to her about it over dinner tonight. There is no point in not telling her anyway and I think bringing another person with me will make Samantha happy."

Lim Yi Sheng had been planning to tell Xi Ana for quite some time but just couldn't get the right time to do so since they were really busy these past few weeks because of their companies and Xi Ana also seems like she's bothered by something lately.

"By the way, I thought you are already planning to tell your grandfather about Samantha as well, how's that going? I never heard any follow ups from you since we last talked about it."

Indeed, he really wanted to reveal this matter to his grandfather, it's about time they learn about it. He can't keep hiding this matter for a lifetime and Samantha also has the right to be recognized and if by any chance their grandfather won't at least she would know.

"I don't his everyday know why but I can't talk to him these past few days, it seems like he was busy with something but when I tried to talk to his personal ȧssistant about it but he just kept his mouth sealed."

Whenever he asks if they could talk, he will always be told that he has something important that needs urgent attention so he does not have time to talk to him, he even went as far as setting up a schedule with his grandfather's ȧssistant but to no avail.

He even tried to ask for someone to follow his grandfather's ȧssistant to know what he's been up to but even after a few days of following they still can't see any significant leads about what he's really busy with.Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #'s-wife-has-a-secret_14496266906619705/letter_50884293873954296 for visiting.

If only he didn't know that his grandfather still does not have any idea about Samantha he would have long think that he's deliberately avoiding the conversation.

"So what's your plan?"

"For now, I'll tell Xi Ana about this first. I'll think about it again after Samantha's operation."

---

"How are you feeling today, Samantha?"

These days the regular visitation of Doctor William to her hospital ward has doubled due to the approaching rescheduled date of her operation.

She can also feel that all the people around her are being extra careful with their words that sometimes she can;t help but laugh a little at how they were being obvious about the whole matter. If it's Doctor he can;t do it well but some of the younger nurses can't.

It's not like she isn't nervous anymore but because he brother would come visit her whenever he had business in the country, the pressure was lesser now than it was before.

"I'm fine Doctor William, you don't have to worry that much." she smiled genuinely and wholeheartedly to show that she is not acting tough or anything of the sort.

"Of course I have to worry, you are my favorite patient so I need to check up on you."

This is a lie that almost all doctors would have at least uttered once in their entire life as a doctor, right? Well, even though its like that he knew that these simple words really do some magic on patients that needed words that could make them smile.

"Tell me honestly Doctor, how many patients have heard that line before?"

"About a hundred I guess, keep it a secret for me okay?" Doctor William said those words with an innocent look which made the two of them laugh.

"Remember, don't think.."

"Don't think so much and just focus on not getting sick, I know."

Samantha finished the sentence of Doctor William, she had heard this sentence a lot of times already not only from the doctor but also from her brother to the point that she could recite the same words a hundred times over without stop.

On the other hand, that action of Samantha made the doctor smile warmly, "It's good that you know but don't let be just words alone, you have to really do it. Alright?"

"Of course, I've already learned my lesson. I won't make all of you worry nor would I waste all the effort you've done in order to heal me."

Those words were really from her heart. To be able to live until now is already a luxury to her, because she was very sickly when she was a little she had long accepted that she might die earlier.

But now, she's not only receiving enough medical care, or eating deliciously made food, she even has enough clothes to use for every season, and above all she is surrounded by people who care for her. She would have never imagined living a life this before.

After exchanging a few more words, Doctor William finally ended their regular visitation for the day and as soon as he left the nurse who is ȧssigned to look after her everyday entered her hospital ward.

Nurse Ji Hyo is an Asian-American nurse who's been working for at least seven years in this hospital, with little experience a lot of her fellow nurses felt envious that she was ȧssigned as a personal nurse of Samantha who everyone in this hospital recognize as the only VVIP patient in this hospital.

"Sister Ji Hyo, did you bring the things I've asked you about?" Because she is already quite familiar with this nurse she can already call her sister instead of calling her 'nurse' which felt a little too distant for her.

Samantha was also able to get along instantly because they were both Asians, although they were of different nationalities being both Asians in a western country means a lot to them.

"Yes, I already have them with me but what will you do with those things? Will you draw something to pass time? Are you bored, do you want me to accompany you on a walk?"

Instead of getting annoyed with the unnecessary worry she decided Actually the thing he asked were just pen and paper so there is really nothing to exaggerate like that. \

"It's not like that. I just need it for something very important." what she was about to do is really something important for her.

Nurse Ji Hyo gave her a set of pens with different colors and a stack of clean white papers. When Samantha saw these she almost laughed out loud which was noticed by the nurse.

"Why? What's the matter? Are the pens not to your liking? Or it the papers are not enough?" the nurse asked with a worried look.

Rather than saying it's not enough it's actually too much! It would have been fine with just two working pens and a few papers but to have this many, just what would she do with all these.

It's not like she could use all of these pens and papers in writing a single letter, right? Even if she would need to rewrite a few times it is still impossible for her to use everything just to finish it.

"It's nothing Sister Ji Hyo, these are more than enough so you don't have to worry about anything. It's not like I'm gonna draw. My drawing's horrible you know."she smiled sweetly.

Her operation will be after one week, although everyone acts nonchalantly about it she knows that the operation is very risky and there is also a probability that she might not make it.

She's not young anymore and she could easily find information with the use of internet so of course she had already done her homework about her disease or even about the kind of operation that will be done to her.

When she was young, her mother also did the same thing and now that she would also be faced with a similar situation she would want to take this opportunity to writer everything she wanted to tell Lim Yi Sheng which she may not be able to say if she died during the operation.
