Chapter 126 - I'm Sorry

Xi Ana was busy looking at her tablet monitoring the stock changes in Europe when someone suddenly knocked on her door. Is it already time to go back?

"Come in."

Thinking that Lim Yi Sheng must have been the one that asked to call her, she already started sorting some of the documents she had brought from the office which was on their car earlier, she even turned off her work tablet obviously preparing to leave.

The door opened and the person on the other side of it is actually Auntie Shen, "What's the matter, Auntie Shen did Lim Yi Sheng called for me?"

"Actually, Young Miss.." hearing the uneasiness on her voice Xi Ana raised her head to look at the old woman in front of her.

On the other hand, Auntie was somehow reluctant to call her because of the situation but at the same she also wanted to give this opportunity to them.

"What is it, Auntie Shen? Please tell me."

Looking at her uneasiness made Xi Ana felt a little nervous and so she asked directly before her mind starts to wander on its own. This kind of look could easily make other people misunderstand.

"Young Miss, Master Feng is drunk and he's a little bit hard to handle. Young Master Lim and Young Master Chen are trying to coax him into getting into the room but he just won't budge."

When she heard the reason why she's being called in this matter she unconsciously released a deep breathe, a least It was not the worst case scenario she could possibly imagine. But, this reason also made her somewhat irritated.

Xi Ana inhaled a deep breathe to calm herself before turning to Auntie Shen, "Where is he?"

"He is still in the balcony on the second floor, Young Miss."

"Alright, let's go for now."

The two of them headed to the place where her father is and when she's almost there she could already hear their voices.

"I don't want to go back to the my room, I want to see my baby girl. Let me see my baby girl!" that voice belongs to her father but what really surprised him was him using 'baby girl' to address her.

It's been years since she last heard him use that nickname on her, and to say that it doesn't affect her at some point would be a lie.

Though unwilling, hearing this endearment made her remember old memories she had tried to seal away in the deepest and darkest part of her mind.

---

"Father, I want a swing!" the small girl tugged at her father's hand that was holding her as they passed by a park near her preschool.

"Alright, let's stop by for a while. Would you like that?" hearing the suggestion from her father instantly made her eyes twinkle from excitement which only lasted for a few seconds.

"No. I want a swing."

"Oh, you want a swing? Alright then father would make one for you at home. Is that alright with my baby girl?"

"Of course! I would love that!"

The man carried the little girl on his arm and smiled warmly looking at the bashful expression on his daughter's face. "Since making a swing would take a while would like to try using that one for now?"

The little girl shook her head repeatedly as she wrapped her little arms on her father's neck and buried her face on it.

"You don't want to?"

"If I rode that one today it would be unfair for Xiao Chen, I want the two of us to ride at the same time."

The man ċȧrėssed the back of the child's head, "Alright, alright. Father wold make the swing faster so that you two could ride soon."

"Is that okay? He's still a baby." the little girl looked once again at the kids who are swinging rather high and she felt scared for her baby brother.

What if he was thrown away? The little girl thought to herself.

"Don't worry we will only swing lightly so it is alright for Xiao Chen to right on it."

"Okay!"

She tightened her arms on her father's neck and squealed excitedly. For her, the best hero who can do everything is father. That is what she believed in.

---

Xi Ana was brought back to the reality when she heard her brother's voice.

"My sister is already asleep so be good and go back to your room so you could rest, alright? You'll be able to see her when you wake up." he tried to sound as convincing as he could but it has no effect at all.

A drank person is really hard to handle. Just as Xi Ana was finally a step away from the entrance of the balcony she heard another sentence from her father.

"You're lying. I know that your sister does not want to see me at all." there was sadness and pain from his words and Xi Ana won't deny that.

Is her really drank? But he's not the kind of person who would pretend to be one, right? That is of course as far as she knows.

She strides towards them and the three men instantly turned to look at her. She looked around and she could see that her grandfather is not there already, when she was just about to ask her husband who does not look drank at all answered the question she had not yet asked.

"Grandfather retired early and he's already resting in his room."

"Okay."

She looked at her father's face and it is really dyed in red because of the alcohol, "Dear, can you help Chen and bring this person to his room?"

The irritation she felt earlier came back when her father retorted, "No. I already told you I want to see my baby girl first!"

He insisted. Is being drunk seriously made him regress for a period of time? This image doea not really coexist with the one in her mind.

Furthermore, I not standing in front of you? Do you actually have another daughter besides me, you idiotic father?

"We've already tried to do so but her just won't move."

"You should have just knocked him out, that would have been a lit easier.'

"Ana."

"It's a joke."

She returned her gaze on her father and her eyebrows frowned. "Go back to your room, I know you know the way."

"I'll stay here for the night." after saying those words he was already about to lie down ans seeing this made Xi Ana's eyes narrow.

"FATHER!" she blurted out the word unexpectedly which did not only shock her but as well as the people present at the moment.

It was already too late to take I back and so she just let it be and followed a few more words, "I'll accompany you back so stop with the whining."

There was still a the shocked expression on Shen Feng's face as he nodded, "Okay."

"Chen, help him out."

"Okay."

Xi Chen then helped their father and they stared walking. Surprisingly, the resistant from their father's face earlier could no longer be seen and he looked as obedient as kid who was just reprimanded by his parents.

She looked the both of them before turning to her husband, "Dear, can you wait for a little?"

"Of course, just take you time."

Instead of answering she just smiled before following her father and brother.

Her father getting drank on the first day of his arrival in the country is beyond her imagination.

When they reached the room, someone had already opened the door for them and so Xi Chen only needed to drop him on his bed.

"Ana Jie, I need to go back to my room I have a sudden overseas meeting in while." Xi Chen looked at his wristwatch and he really does look like he's in a rush.

"Go ahead."

"Thank you."

He stormed out the room without hesitation.

Xi Ana looked her father on the bed and when she saw that his breathing pattern seems normal she was already about to go out of the when he suddenly spoke.

"I'm sorry, baby girl. I'm sorry for being such a useless father who only know how to run away. That's why it's okay for you to hate me, it's okay because I deserve it. If this could be my atonement for the decisions I've made, then I'm more than willing to be hated by you."
