Chapter 104 - Saying Goodbye

"Nancy please don't do this," Baby hissed holding me. I closed my eyes as tears drop down my cheeks.

I hug him one last time before slipping away from his arms. "Nancy, Nancy!" He scowls as he throws his fist to the wall angrily, my heart shed, I didn't turn back to watch him. if I did I wouldn't be able to leave.

Pana and the twins were standing beside the chopper as Betty Mary-Anne, Roland, and Leo stand in front of the entrance waiting to say their final goodbyes.

"I'm going to miss you Nancy" Roland whimpers once again pulling me in for a hug.

"I will too, you promise to visit right," I mutter.

"Of course right after graduation, I'm moving in there with you, trust me." he teased as I force a smile on my face.

"Alright I need to go now if I stay here a minute longer, I might not be able to leave," I said wiping tears from my eyes. I quickly turn to leave, my steps were heavy as the whole world was weighing me down, their eyes watching my back were pulling me back.

I turned for a final look as they all wave at me.

My gaze met with Baby's, he has resentment in his eyes.

"I'm sorry," I whispered quietly, hoping he'll hear and understand how difficult it is for me to make the decision.

I clench my teeth biting my lips to cause me pain, the same pain Baby is going through now.

Gingerly touching my stomach with my free hand as I jump into the chopper without looking at them.

my eyes were filled with tears and I couldn't control the tears from flowing down my cheeks.

"Mummy!" Berbera giggled one look at her made smiles lit on her face.

"Yes princess," I whimper tickling her small Tommy. She giggled aloud, I end up tickling Barbie too.

Up in the skies, a few meters away from Akin city Barbie and Barbara had fell asleep. I could hear the rain hitting the chopper relentlessly as the howling of the wind becomes stronger with every passing minute.

The chopper start to move maliciously as if it was about to crash.

"Your royal Princess, we can't continue the flight, I see a province nearby. I will land there so we find shelter there," the pilot yells because of the strong winds I could barely hear what he was saying.

I supposed we need to find a place to land as soon as possible.

"Yes, go ahead!" I replied hugging the twins tightly.

Zenab's POV

"Hey, what is wrong my prince? why are you restless?" my chief guard asks as he notices I was moving up and down.

"The royal princess is returning with the chopper today, I can't get through with them. with this weather, I can only pray they found a safe place to land," I pout nervously.

"My prince you don't have to worry about her, the two pilots have years of experience. I'm sure they will find a safe place to land for the safety of the royal princess, you don't have to worry about that because you sent the best warriors of Zamuniland to protect her. Just have faith they are safe and we will soon hear from them," he whispers tapping my shoulders.

I let out a gentle smile he was right, I was just worrying for nothing. "Yes thank you at the mind time I will try and locate the chopper," I whimper leaving to my lab. I wonder why I didn't think of that before. I let fear cloud my mind.

this is what grandfather used to say. "As a king, you need to be neutral that way nothing can cloud in your mind when making a decision." now I see the importance of his teachings.

I miss him so much.

Within a few seconds, we managed to land and find shelter in a small town.

"Miss, can we get a room?" The guard asked the lady in charge of the inn.

"I'm sorry sir there is only one room available it can't accommodate 8 of you," the lady pouts looking at me. She meant the two pilots and two guards with me and Pana as well as the twins.

There is something strange about her, my gut feeling tells me we should go elsewhere, but where? It is still pouring heavily outside.

I wonder why it choose to rain today of all day.

"We will have it," the guard mumbled putting money on the desk as the lady hands him the key to the room.

"Please go in with the kids, we will guard the door and until we leave here, they can't find out about our identity. You are Joyce and babysitting the twins," the guard walks closer to me and whispers in my ears as I nod my head.

"Okay, sir in what name should I issue the receipt?" The lady asks curiously.

I held Pana's hand to stop her from speaking as the guard reply her, "Miss Joyce, actually we are coming from the East, we didn't know the weather will be this bad. Is there a way to make a phone call?" The guard smirks as he flirts with the lady.

"Oh I see, sorry about that, we barely have reception here, and now that it's raining this heavily forget about it," the lady replied waving her hands in the air.

"Really, how bad, by the way, which province is this?" He asked again, engaging the lady in a conversation in order not to get suspicious of us.

"The Noelle province," she smiles.

I was freezing, I believe Pana is too. The twins are not, well you know their body generates heat.

Now that they are vampires too I'm wondering how they can deal with both heat and cold at the same time.

I forgot to ask Mary-Anne about these small details.

We move to the room while the four of them stayed at the bar.

The inn is a wooden structure but is a story building. Our room door could be seen from where the guards are.

To my surprise, they tend to blend well with normal people, when I say normal I mean to behave like how the province people behave.

Pana helps me change the twin's clothes as we lay them down.

"Miss it has been raining for hours, won't you lay down a bit or at least eat something," Pana mumbles.

"I'm fine Pana, I'm not hungry," I whisper as I turn to lean on the window it accidentally pushes open.

The chilly wind penetrate through the window and filled the room. Pana helps me close it as I sit on the bed beside the twins.

My heart shed at the sound of noises coming from the bar in the inn swiftly waking up.

"Miss, don't worry it's a group of drunkards making a fuss down there, from your eyes you didn't sleep a wink the whole of last night. You should have some rest," Pana whispers helping me back into bed.

How can I sleep? When Baby's look kept appearing in my mind. The hatred that burned in his red eyes, the disgust and resentment his eyes held when I looked at him.

I couldn't sleep I asked Pana to stay with the twins while I go out to the bar in the inn.

I still cannot tell what time in the day it is because it was still heavily pouring outside.

"Can I please have a hot cup of tea?" I asked the lady at the counter.

"Right away miss Joyce," she replied back as one of the guards made way for me to sit.

"Come sit on my lap, lady?" One drunk man probably in his late 30s smirks as his friends stare at me slyly. He seems to be their leader, he had short hair, brown eyes, and a muscular body.

"No thanks," I said quietly turning back to the guard.

"I was asking bitch, you come to sit on my laps right this minute," he pouts angrily spitting the drink in his mouth.

I ignored him, "This bitch has an attitude we need to teach her a lesson, if the big boss wants something he gets it," one of his friends rumbles standing up on his feet as my heart thundered.

He places his hand on my shoulders as the guard immediately tugged it off twisting his hands until he groans in pain alerting the rest of them.

They pick up their weapons.

"You don't dare disrespect a lady in my presence," the guard said coolly still twisting his hands to his back then threw him against the tables breaking a few chairs and tables making quite a scene

"That's enough!" The owner of the inn yells standing in the middle of the scene.

The so-called big boss the leader of the gang stood up swiftly after gulping his drink down to his throat throwing the cup away.

The four guards stood beside me.

He laughs maniacally as our gaze met.

What does he want? and what is he going to do now? We are outnumbered, now I wished I had stayed in the room quietly.

These beasts don't know how to treat women, there are these savages that think women are just for their satisfaction.

My eyes widened as my heart raced, each step he takes closer to me was filled with horror.
