Chapter 102 - Need To Feed

The most beautiful peace is the one shared with a loved one. I feel so much happy right now because I can see so much love in his for me, my lonely life is now filled with many people that I love and adore by my side.

Most importantly I have my husband and the twins. "Nancy, what are you thinking about?" Baby snaps his fingers in front of me.

"Oh no, nothing, can we what?" I ask slightly turning my head towards him with my lips close to him.

"We need to head back home before night falls." He muttered in my ears gently as he plants a kiss on my lips.

I fall back and fortify my back, "Oh yeah the twins." I hissed biting my lips, I should have thought as much. He is still scared to touch me and I don't know how to tell him it is okay.

I try to hide my frustration as much as I can while we walk back to our house holding hands.

I was in a hurry to see the twins, Baby came with me to check on them.

Pana got cut by a piece of glass while lifting some glasses. "Oh mine, this hurt." Pana cries as blood oz of out of it.

"Listen, Betty please help her, get that check," I mumble.

The twins were happily playing all of a sudden they stop and get aggressive, their faces turn pale as their side teeth grow longer.

They were reacting to the smell of the blood coming from Pana.

Baby and I have to hold them up as they struggle with us. "Get her out of her Betty," Roland whimpered.

"What is happening to my babies?" I cried as I was horrified by their reaction.

"They need to feed Nancy." Baby said almost whispering he was disappointed and worried as I am.

"What do you mean they need to feed? Roland, you care to explain this?" I rumble carefully turning to face Roland with an angry look.

"You remember I told you Nicole's blood..." Roland murmured lowering his gaze.

"What! You didn't tell me the part where they will want to kill to feed!" I yelled still struggling to put Barbie under control.

"Nancy, the chances were very small but I never said it was impossible for this to happen," Roland said in his defense.

"Great, just great Roland," I said almost in tears.

"Give them to me, I will help teach them how to feed." Mary-Anne whispers.

My twins are now hybrids, half-werewolf, and half-vampire just like Mary-Anne,  In their case, it's worse they are born by a human and also because they are still kids and it's very dangerous to control them.

The last time I heard two months vampire baby murdered an entire town.

The werewolves are after them now the vampires will also come after them.

Baby holds me as he let Mary-Anne take them. I made Baby have some guards go with them.

"Nancy..."

"No, you all should stop looking at me that way, yes I knew there was a slight possibility but I never imagine my twins will actually turn. Did you look at them huh?" I sniff as they all stare at me in silence.

"They were absolutely out of control, not just that the vampires, werewolves, witches, hunters, and slayers will all come after them. How do I give them a normal childhood? Please tell me." I groan as Baby holds me in his arms. We share the same concern, no baby vampire has ever survived.

"I know Nancy, they can't stay here," Baby concluded hugging me tightly. I just had them I'm not ready to be apart from them again, there is no one I can trust them with.

"No, not happening," I said firmly moving away from him.

"Nancy, please understand it is the only way to protect them." Baby insisted trying to come closer to me as I move away.

"With very good training they can survive it, Nancy, look at Mary-Anne for instead she is doing pretty well," Roland whimpered as I had my gaze fixed on him.

"I only want to say it is not the end of the world, I have a way I can suppress their abilities until they are fully matured," Roland muttered as he walks closer to me.

"How?" Baby and I asked, not that I mind I will very much love to have them experience normal childhood even if it meant being under a curse.

Of course Baby doesn't share the same thought with me no alpha will agree to put their heir under a curse.

A wolf who can't turn is as good as dead. "Let that to me" Roland smirks.

The three of us stayed behind closed doors to discuss the quickest possible solution for the twins' conditions.

Mary-Anne and the twins returned shortly after, they were looking cheerful and happy again.

"They are quite strong and quick, they possess a rare power Nancy before they get exposed before people come to know of the kind of powers they have take them out of here. Far away from here" Mary-Anne mumbles as she takes a stand by Roland.

I hug the twins tightly, tears start to flow out of my eyes.

"Mummy," a tiny little voice whispers.

"What did you say?" I grin as my face lightens, Barbara called me mummy, her first word ever as she starts to clap and giggles happily.

Barbie also called me mummy.

"Aww, my dearest babies." I cried as I hug them once again Baby join me and hugs them too.

"Now say daddy," Baby mumbles as he carries Barbie. Just like a good girl she giggled and whimpers.

"Daddy, da-ddy" Baby couldn't hide his joy for a moment we forgot all about the problem at hand.

What to still do is unknown to us. What is going to happen to our adorable babies? Whom can I entrust their safety to?

Later after putting the twins to sleep Baby and I discuss the options we have regarding the twins and for some reason, we don't seem to agree on the same thing.

"I'm not abandoning my kids in an orphanage just to hide their identity neither am I going to let someone else look after them," I whisper moving back and forth in the room at a slow pace.

"Please you need to understand, this is for them and as their parent, their safety is our top priority," Baby tries to convince me to agree with him.

"Then I will leave together with them back to Zamuniland," I forcefully said with a sad look, it was as if I dropped a bomb, Baby stares at me in a daze. Completely shocked and speechless.

"Think about it, they will get the protection they need there," I hissed.

Baby raises his head to watch me with the tip of his eyes.

"You are kidding aren't you?" He pouts.

"No I'm damn serious," I said firmly as he stood up and stand in front of me.

"That is never happening," he bends over and whispers in my ears as he walks out of the room.

I'm reluctant to think of separating from him but I can't leave the children all by themselves.

Baby left in anger, I wonder where he storm off to.

"Where are you going this late Nancy?" Leo asked. I run outside the house.

"To the pack headquarters," I whimper wrapping my hands around myself. It was chilly outside I was in a hurry to even pick up my jacket.

"You are the Luna of this pack you can't always act on a whim, if not for anything think of your kids," Leo scolds but I paid no attention to him, he wrap his arms around me when he realized I was feeling cold.

I try pushing him away but he held me uptight. Wolves produce strong body heat, I couldn't stand the cold anymore so I allow myself to be warm by him.

He walks with me to the headquarters, he had two choices either to go with me and protect me or he risk me walking in the dark woods by myself.

We soon arrive at the headquarters.

I enter in search of Baby. It seems everyone is pretty busy doing their own thing.

Most of the guards were not at their post. Lucky I found Karim, Baby's cousin coming from the other end of the hall.

"Your highness, please what are you doing here by this time of the night? did you come alone?" Karim asked after a slight bow and trying to avoid eye contact.

What is he trying to hide? why is he looking nervous? Did something happen to Baby? I wonder trying to get the answers from his face but only found nothing.

"I'm not supposed to be here right?" I pout looking at him.

"Of course... not that's not what I mean" he stammered.

"Where is Baby?" I mumble.

"I think he's not here." He said in a crack voice.

"Well, I think he's here so I'm going to look for him either way tell me where he is right this minute!" I spat as Karim gets nervous again, staring at the chamber door on our left.

Baby must be in there but why is he acting this way. I feel the edge to go in there as my chest burns. I walk past him.

"Your Highness, I think it's best if you go home." He said trying to stand in my way.

"Get out of my way Karim before I descend on you," I growl as he reluctantly steps aside. I push the door open and stand there as my mouth drops.

"I thought I said, I didn't want to be disturbed?" Baby's hoarse voice came echoing from the darkroom.

"I see you are quite busy huh?" I said as I stamp my feet on the ground angrily to get his attention. He swiftly turns and sat on the bed.

"Nancy, what are you doing here? you shouldn't be here?" He pouts lowering his gaze and voice.

"Oh no, I think I'm right where I'm supposed to be and just in time to see this," I said angrily.

"Well let me not disturb you, why don't you continue what you were doing, I'll take my leave." I hold myself as I walk out of the door with my eyes filled with tears.

I held my breath in order not to choke. My throat dries and everywhere seems to hurt badly. I stumbled as Karim try to help me but I pushed his hand away walking further away from him. Leo was standing outside waiting for me, he holds me as I cry in his arms.

"What happened? did you see Baby? why are you like this?" he asked all these questions at once.

"Please get me out of here, I want to go home," I cried.

"Alright sure," he replied offering me his shoulders. We walk back to the house without him asking any further questions when he saw Baby coming out in just a robe.

Baby calls after me but I didn't blink or turn once. I was so hurt I couldn't believe he could do this to me.
