Chapter 85 - Centaurs

"I'm done talking to you Zenab," I said angrily turning my face to the other side as they continue to walk to god knows where.

As I rack my brains to think of a way out of our current quandary Zenab looks unaffected. It seems the prince doesn't want to go back home to his castle. I let out a chuckle. We arrive at their caves, night has already fallen and I suppose his guards are looking for us.

Grandma must be so worried. They prepare a small cage made with woods, with large fresh leaves spread inside of it assuming that to be our bed. They gently put us down and locks it with a stick behind them.

"Please let us go we won't tell anyone about you guys" I pleaded but it seems it all fell on deaf ears. He returns with a basket full of fruits, there was apples, grapes, and mangoes.

"See they are nice, they even brought us food and this bed is comfortable, trust me, Nancy, just try it" Zenab pouts as he gets up to pick an apple from the basket. He wipes it on his clothes and starts eating making silly noises in my ears.

What puzzles me is the fact that he is not even trying to escape.

"We need to get out of here" I mumbled.

"And go where? Trust me it's safer here, there are far more dangerous creatures out there that are not so nice like the centaurs" he pouts with his mouth full.

I sat down in deep thoughts I forgot I didn't eat anything all day, my stomach starts to make silly noises.

"You should eat something, these apples are juicy" Zenab let out a chuckle. I ignore his words as I pick an apple and finish it at a go and pick another one.

I sucked in some air after I realize my stomach was now filled. It's late and it will be more dangerous wandering around in the forest. I slight myself a little and lay on my side beside Zenab who was fast asleep.

I couldn't sleep a wink the whole night I was thinking they will come and grab us once we were sleeping. I was tossing and turning till daybreak.

The sun's rays find their way through the tree branches to our cage. The sunlight rested on my face making me latch my eyes. Zenab was still sleeping peacefully.

"Zenab, wake up the sun is up already" I whisper trying not to alert them.

"Okay, you should find something to eat" Zenab muttered slighting himself back to sleep.

"Seriously, Zenab are you thinking about food this early morning" I pout. He ignores me now sitting down.

I let a chuckle as he pulls the basket of apples and started eating them again. I wish I could hit him hard behind his head but I'm holding back for some reason.

"what the hell is wrong with you" I cursed hitting the cage with my hands. Which hurts like hell.

"Why are you so relaxed?" I asked for the million times.

"what do you want me to do genius? We are in this mess all because of you. you wanted to swim by jumping into the waterfalls". He blames.

I looked at him to find any sort of anger but to my surprise, there were no emotions at all.

"Oh now, you blaming me?" I whisper biting my lips.

"what should I do?" He asked picking another apple from the basket.

"Do something, anything we need to get out of here" I rumble still controlling my anger.

"Fine I'll do something," he said for saying sake, he didn't seem like someone ready to do anything.

"why you're sitting quietly?" I grumble.

"At least let me finish eating, I will need lots of energy to get the best of the centaurs.

"Right, goodness you are just unbearable sometimes" I cursed.

"Yeah and you are such a nervous wreck" he mutters.

"You know what I'm done talking to you," said pointing my finger in his face. He slowly points it down wearing a silly smile on his face.

We had a sweet argument, the kind among siblings. one of them walks to our cage, he seems to be the leader, he bends down to have a closer look at us if we had slept well.

He opens the cage carrying both of us out together with both hands gently as if he knew if he holds us any firmer we might get hurt.

"where are you taking us?" I asked with no reply as always. They started walking and with all my yelling and pleading there was still no response.

it looks like they were not going to mind me, soon we arrived at the end of the forest ahead of us was the bare lands more like a way out of the forest.

"You are home now my prince and princess," the leader said in one of Zamuniland's native languages as they put us down gently.

"what you could hear us? why didn't you say anything the whole?" I questioned to face my brother.

"Zenab did you know about this? is that why you were calm the whole time? why didn't you tell me? I was so worried and sick, goodness you are such an....." I stopped myself from saying it.

"Yeah, even if I have said it, you would have asked me millions of questions I might not have answers to," he said avoiding my gaze.

"You should have told me and at least that would have putten my mind to rest" I spat.

"I tried telling you several times to calm but you didn't listen to me," he said in his defense.

"Why didn't you try harder?" I had the worst night ever when he simply enjoy his sleep.

"Ok I'm sorry, I'll try harder next time" he mumbles holding both ears even his puppy face is not going to make me forgive him that easily.

"My prince, my princess you are home now, I hope you get to visit us some other time again. It was an honor having you both" the leader said as he folds his fist and gently hits his upper shoulders three times and let down a gentle bow.

"oh my god, you can speak English too?" I asked the obvious as my mouth dropped open.

"yes my princess I'm sorry I didn't want to scare you the more if you have had my voice, it was late and you couldn't have gone home that's why I let you spend the night at our watch" he rumbles.

"that's all done and forgotten now" I pout in relief.

"I was just scared you two will be in danger if left alone in the forest"

"Yes, I can just imagine, wow, well thank you so much. forgive me if I had said a lot of things I shouldn't have said" I apologize.

"Don't worry my princess we can understand"

"Thank you so much"  Zenab finally said.

"What's your name again?" he asked looking up to see his face.

"My name is Klaus my prince" he responded as his legs move back and forth and wink his tail just like a horse, well they are horses, right?

"Okay Klaus, whenever you need anything, whatever it may be, any help at all from us please don't hesitate to get in touch with me" Zenab mumbles.

"I will my prince" he answers.

"Ok, I'll have to take the princess back home before her heart explode. I think she has had enough adventure for the day, right Nancy?" he tease raising an eyebrow if only he knew how badly I want to beat him up.

"Thank you once again Klaus I hope we get to meet again," I said feeling remorseful for all the nasty things I said when they were only trying to help us. The centaurs turn and a second later they had disappeared into the forest you could barely hear any sound of them.

Zenab was just making fun of me, I should have figured it out. He made me worry the whole night.

"Okay, Nancy shall we go now?" Zenab asked putting his hand forward, I  ignore him, I was angry at him.

"Yeah whatever, I can't wait to get out of these clothes" I pout taking the lead with my arms folded around my chest.

"Yeah me too," he said catching up with me.

"What are you going to tell grandma?" Zenab asks, he is the prince and such a mistake won't be taken lightly by grandma. she has a soft spot for me since I didn't grow up with her.

"You think of that prince since you are good at doing nothing you could at least lie to Grandma where we were the whole of last night," I said brushing my nose with my thumb trying to be tough.

"Kid sister don't worry as always I'll handle the situation with Grandma" he brags I can't wait to hear the lie he comes up with.

"Good.... and don't talk to me" I pout as I strode faster away from him.

"Seriously you mean that?" he mumbles jogging with him facing my back.

"Zenab I'm serious just don't talk to me you're so annoying," I said making a frown face.

"Alright I'm sorry, I tried telling you they weren't going to harm us I didn't know how else to say it," he said softly still jogging, he stumble upon a stone which made me pause and laugh.

"you could have voiced it out 'Nancy, these people are not going to hurt us then, I would have gotten it" I snapped.

"Ok little sister I'm sorry, I wasn't sure but then I was confident if grandpa had told me about them it means they had some kind of relationship, and probably when he saw our clothes with the royal symbol they knew right away who we were, that was what I was trying to tell you and you weren't listening," he said panting as I stretch my hand forward to pull him up.

"Fine, I'll let it go," I said with a smile.

"Thank you" he reciprocates with a wider smile, still holding my hand as our gaze met.

Big question how are we going to handle grandma, the princess, and the crown prince missing is a national crisis and drastic measures are being taken right now.
