Chapter 526 - Why didn't you stop me?

Name:Tell Me Again, My Love Author:Fifie
The party officially ended almost at midnight with both girls slumped sleepily beside their respective partners. They had so much fun and drink that their men refused to let Mika and Ryn leave without them.

As all four were drinking that night, they asked for a driver to pick them up. The Long's driver picked up  Jeremy and Ryn while Wu's driver took Jason and Mika to Jeremy's place. Jason hasn't bought a house even though the wedding day was days away. He and Mika would live with his family at the mansion. Mika agreed to it and his parents also said why would they waste such a huge and good room just to rent or buy a house outside. Besides, by living with them, Mika did not have to worry about cooking and cleaning the house. She could just focus on her work in the company and when at home, just focus on being a wife to Jason. Of course, they would be happy if, after ten months, Mika could give them a grandchild. They did not mind the gender as long as the baby was fat and healthy.

The men, without discussing it first with each other, had the same thought as they carried both women into Mika's room. They did not want Mika to feel hurt to see Ryn not with her when she woke up tomorrow morning.. It was after all a hen party to celebrate Mika's 'last day as a single woman and the idea for today was the whole day spending time with Ryn.

They laid the women side by side and Jeremy pulled the blanket to cover both of them. They did not wake the girls up to wash off the make-up because they saw how drunk both Mika and Ryn were. Despite the men too drinking the alcoholic drinks, they could hold themselves and started to wash. Jason went to the guest room to sleep while Jeremy returned to his own room, alone.

It was a sad night for the men but for Mika, they would sacrifice their happiness for one night.

One night only.

The men had a sleepless night wishing their woman next door would wake up and sleep with them. Even just a snuggle was good for them.

The next day...

Ryn woke up with a huge headache. She ġrȯȧnėd as she tried to find a position that would not make her uncomfortable. But it was hard. She turned and turned but she still felt uncomfortable.

Then, she realized she was not alone on the bed. Someone else was there and the person was hugging her in sleep. She recognized her right away even though she did not open her eyes.

There were only two people... no, three people that would share the bed with her; Jeremy, Mika, and her mother. She knew it was Mika despite the pain she was having.

"Mika?" her hoarse voice called for her best friend and received a hmm from the other person.

She lay there in agonized for almost half an hour more before she managed to pull herself to leave the bed and rushed to the bathroom. She had too much drink and her bladder could not hold it anymore.

And her throat too. It felt so dry she did not think she could speak comfortably. Ahh, her whole body ached so bad.

She hated this hangover so much. No wonder she always avoided drinking too much. She guessed she was so happy during the night until she forgot the effect of too much drinking.

Jeremy and Jason were in the kitchen when Ryn managed to pull herself downstairs to look for water.

"Good morning, Ryn," Jason greeted.

"Morning," Ryn greeted the man. She went straight to Jeremy who was holding a glass of iced coffee.

"Morning, love," Jeremy said. He was about to hug and kiss her good morning (afternoon) but her girlfriend simply took the glass of coffee and drank it.

Ah... finally she felt better... well, a bit better compared to before.

Ryn sipped it more before she went to the refrigerator to take out a bottle of cool water.

"Here," Jeremy handed a bottle of tonic to cure the hangover.

"Thanks," Ryn opened the lid and gulped everything at once as she closed her eyes tightly. She then washed the bottle and put it into the recycle basket.

"Feel better now?" Jeremy asked.

Jason already left the couple alone and climbed up the stairs. He decided to accompany his fiancee while she was still sleeping. He even brought with him a bottle of tonic so when she finally woke up, she could drink it.

"Hmm..." Ryn leaned against the countertop, holding the bottle of water. She did not pour the water into a glass, instead, she drank straight from it. It was only a 500ml bottle so she could drink it by herself.

Jeremy looked around and decided the gooseberry already knew his presence was unwanted in the kitchen. He smiled and stepped forward, reaching for her for a hug. He missed hugging her body last night.

"Have you two had breakfast yet?" she asked right before he could kiss her rosy lips.

He paused and blinked his eyes at her. He tried not to show his disappointment when she did not ask him about his feeling without her but asked about breakfast instead.

"Why didn't you stop me from drinking too much? My body is still aching all over," she grumbled. She hugged him for a second and then quickly separated from him. She turned and opened the refrigerator. "Luckily the maids prepared a lot. I don't think I can cook much with this headache."

He stood there helplessly as his girlfriend took out food containers from the refrigerator. He did not mind if they were only having toasted bread with a fluffy omelet but he had no doubt the reason why Ryn put too much focus on the breakfast (or lunch to be precise) was because of Mika, not because of him.

Ryn brought the heated dishes to the dining table, ignoring Jeremy. She wanted the food spread to be ready before Mika came down hungrily. Besides, she was starving too.

Jeremy, after realizing that his girlfriend has no plan to coax him, sighed heavily. With his shoulders drooped low, he carried the pot of coffee and cups to the table. He also watched as Ryn prepared orange juice for all of them.

"Do you think we should wait for them or eat now?" Ryn finally looked at Jeremy expectedly after she was done with the food. Her eyes shone with hunger.

Jeremy reached out to touch her cheek. He was hurt indeed when he was being ignored earlier but looking at her huge eyes giving full attention to him, his heart pounded hard.

"Let's eat now. We don't know what time Mika will wake up," he decided. He rested his hand against her back and urged her to take a sit. He even pulled the chair for her.

She filled the glass with coffee instead of the juice and drank it slowly. Then, she sighed in relief. She felt better than before. She sipped more, not even looking at the food on the table. Her focus was on the coffee.

"Eat something, Ryn," Jeremy said as he scooped the soup into a bowl. There were five dishes including a soup.  He also scooped some rice into another bowl and using his chopsticks, took some of the bulgogi meat into Ryn's bowl. He was careful not to include any vegetables in her bowl.

Ryn scooped the soup with the spoon and drank it slowly. She did not use the chopsticks but the same spoon when she was eating the rice with the side dishes.

He ate too beside her. Once in a while, he took some side dishes for her.

It was contrary when Ryn and Mika were having a meal together because Mika was quite talkative and kept talking even when Ryn was having her meal. She would pull her best friend to answer the question.

"Why didn't you wait for us for breakfast... I mean brunch?" Mika cried, interrupting the quiet atmosphere.

The couple looked toward the stairs and saw Jason and Mika walking downstairs hand-in-hand.

"We didn't know what time you'll wake up and we're hungry," Jeremy replied. "You look awful."

"My love, he's bullying me. I don't look that bad, do I?" Mika whɨnėd childishly at her fiance.

"Jeremy, stop bullying your sister," Jason pretended to scold his best friend as he pulled Mika closer and dropped a kiss on top of her head to soothe her.

"Just take your seat and drink the coffee. You'll feel better," Ryn said as she poured a cup for Mika.

Mika stuck her tongue out to Jeremy childishly before sitting on the chair Jason pulled for her. She took the cup of coffee and sighed after a sip.

Coffee really made everything feel better.

Unlike before, this time, with Jason and Mika having the meal with them, the atmosphere lightens up a bit. Mika with her chatter really lifted up the place.
