Feeling tricked by her son, Nancy could do nothing but wear a gloomy face. She had to somehow show him that she didn’t like what he did.

More than that, Nancy wasn’t clearly informed of what happened between Charles and the woman and thought that he at least owed her an explanation.

And to top it all off, Nadia and Bobby had gone missing! If it weren’t for the children going missing, the police officer wouldn't let Charles out so soon.

So with all these problems to deal with, Nancy was fuming mad. Her eyes bore a deathly stare while her nostrils flared vigorously.

Fortunately, when she saw that the children were safe and sound, her heart was somehow pacified. Nothing was more important than the safety of the kids.

Even Charles, who was entangled with some charges, didn’t mind his situation at all. His priority was his children and not some trivial case, which was clearly manipulated by that cunning woman.

"Are you going to the police station? You haven’t even explained yourself clearly yet!"

Nancy’s sarcastic tone made Charles frown slightly.

"Daddy, what happened? Why do you have to go to the police station?"

Bobby asked curiously, gazing at his father with a pair of

her daughter, trying to ease the anger built up in her.

More than that, she knew that from all the years of torture and terrible childhood memories, it had caused severe damage in the young girl’s heart.

All those traumatic experiences from Flora led to her emotional delicacy.

So, by mother’s instincts, Nancy was very careful in protecting Nadia's sensitivity.

However, when provoked and triggered, the kid’s anxiety would exhibit, and she would break down in a slight panic episode.

While Nancy thought of those things, Bobby suddenly asked, "Mommy, do you love our daddy?"

And as if wanting to ask the same question, Nadia looked up at their mother anticipatingly.

Nancy was stunned.

How could she answer when their expectant eyes pierced through her?

She couldn't let the kids down, could she?

So, she took a deep breath and answered, "Of course I love him. Otherwise, how can we live together?"

"Will mommy and daddy get married?" Nadia followed up right away.

At this point, Nancy was so helpless she had to bite the bullet and said, "Mommy is currently occupied with work and so many other things. Maybe we can talk about marriage later when I’m not busy anymore, okay?"
