Chapter 323 - WHAT HAPPEN TO LUNA

No one knew what exactly was happening inside Schoolmaster Yin's office.

And no one was curious enough to visit him in his office lately to check how he was doing.

After all, no one in the entire Magus Academia would suspect their schoolmaster of doing anything out of the line.

So they just let him be.

Never would they dare imagine, not even in their wildest dreams that the Schoolmaster Yin who was highly respected by many could be an apprentice necromancer in his past.

After almost half a month of seclusion, Schoolmaster Yin started accepting guests again.

He went on his usual duties as the schoolmaster of Magus Academia and attended everything that he had neglected over the past few weeks.

Everything resumed to how it normally was and all went on smoothly as if nothing happened in the first place.

At the same time, Long Yue's pet, Luna, had also regained her consciousness right after a week.

Exactly just like how Schoolmaster Yin estimated.

"MEOW"

[Little lass, when do you think I could meet Luna again??? I've been missing her like crazy, you know??]

Janus asked his master for the umpteenth time.

Well, he had been like that ever since he heard the news that Luna already woke up.

But apparently, Luna was still inside the folded space and Long Yue never allowed the other party to go out since then

Due to what had happened to Luna back in the Land of Echurid, Long Yue became overly protective of his pet.

"Hmm... Just give them some time, Janus. You'll eventually meet Luna soon. Don't worry. It is not as if, Long Yue will going to keep her inside the folded space forever"

Of course, Mu Lingxi was also curious to know how Luna was doing.

But she would like to respect Long Yue's decision for keeping his cat at bay for the moment.

He must have his reasons for doing that.

Maybe he only wanted to make sure that Luna was fully recovered first before he would allow her to come outside and meet other people again.

Well, Janus was also aware of Long Yue's intention.

The other party probably just wanted to spend more time with his cat and he might not want others to disturb them

Janus could understand him at some point.

But of course, no one could blame Janus either if he was starting to get impatient

After all, he had been holding back himself for quite some time now.

He had tried his best to keep his cool even after what had happened to Luna.

All those times that they were waiting for her to recover, no one could be more nervous and anxious than he was.

The mixed emotion that Janus had been feeling since then can almost be compared to a soon to be father waiting and anticipating for the good news and his firstborn

Janus was almost no different from a father waiting for the news of his wife that was being sent to a delivery room.

That was how agitated he was.

But no matter how bothered he was feeling deep inside, he never allowed it to show in his action, nor to his face even once. 

Janus never did something that would show how agitated he actually was.

But now that the other party was already awake, it was an entirely different story now.

In fact, it was already an achievement itself that Janus was able to hold back himself from sneaking inside the folded space.

Just so he could see his beloved Luna again, after a very long wait.

"MEOW"

[There he is, little lass. Please ask him about Luna for me... Could you? Please???]

Janus asked Mu Lingxi again for the same favor as soon as he saw Long Yue coming out from the folded space.

Janus was literally putting his life as he pleaded earnestly to his master.

Obviously, Mu Lingxi would never be able to turn him down.

Especially when Janus was pleading using his two big doe eyes. As if a puppy asking for a treat.

If you guys could imagine what I'm saying.

Knowing that Janus would only continue to nag at her like that if he would not be able to see Luna by the end of this day, Mu Lingxi was left with no choice but to approached Long Yue and asked him about his pet.

"Hi there, did you just check out for Luna?"

Mu Lingxi could not think of any other questions on the spot. So she ended up asking the obvious.

But despite knowing how lame she sounded, Mu Lingxi still tried to act as casual as she could as she walked towards Long Yue's direction.

It was obvious that Long Yue had just gone to check on Luna since he just literally pop out from thin air. 

Which only goes to say that he had just left the folded space.

Long Yue was startled to see Mu Lingxi walking towards him with a smile as soon as he came out from the folded space.

But he still replied to her question with a slight nod of his head.

"Yeah.."

He said, without much of an emotion.

Which is a stark contrast to his usual enthusiastic self.

"How is she then??"

Mu Lingxi was able to notice the lack of enthusiasm from the other party's voice but she still went on asking him questions for Janus' sake.

"She's good."

Long Yue gave his friend another brief answer.

"Is there any chance that we could meet Luna today???".

Mu Lingxi was not good at beating around the bush, to begin with, and she was highly aware of that.

So before everything could turn even more awkward, she already decided to went straight to the point and stated her true intention right after exchanging a few words of pleasantries with Long Yue.

"Errr..."

It was obvious that Long Yue was not cool about Mu LIngxi's idea. But before he could even turn down his friend's request, Chan Gu already interrupted him

'Ohh, c'mon man. What is with the hold-up??"
