67 Fresh vegetable

We take a walk to my father in law's farmland while sightseeing the village landmarks. The air feels fresh, different from the air in the city. There are people who go to their farmland like what my father in law did. We exchange greetings each time we meet other village residents.

After walk for around fifteen minutes finally, we arrive at the farmland. It's vast farmland with several vegetables planted there. There's also a small greenhouse in the middle of the farmland.

"Wow father, your farm really big"

"Hahaha…you wouldn't believe if I say I start only with a plot of land in the beginning"

"No, I believe you, father. You're a person who not scared to work hard and stubborn to give up. This vast land is your achievement after years of work hard"

"Hahaha…you really know how to talk with your father, son. I'm getting like you more"

"Is that means you not like my hubby, father"

"Nooo…I don't mean that. I already like your husband since he willing to marry you, it's just my likeness level is increased"

"Hihihi…of course, he's my hubby that I proud of"

Ming Er said that while hugging my waist and lean her head on my arms. My father in law only laughing when hearing that and saw what Ming Er did.

"Alright…you come here not to picnic, right? Give me a hand and help me"

"Ah right, what should we help father?"

"Just pull any wild weeds that you see and remove any worms if you accidentally saw it on the leaves"

"You're not using pesticide or insecticide, father?"

"Pesticide? Insecticide? That's poison. Do you like to smear poison on your food then eat it? No! I prefer to remove it manually. Only if there's a pest epidemic I'm willing to use pesticide. Fortunately, it never happens before"

"That's good, father. I also agree with that"

"Okay, stop chatter and move your feet son. You still have to practice driving with A He, right? Take a basket from greenhouse to put the weeds that you just pulled in there"

"Yes, father. let's go wifey"

"Okay hubby"

Me and Ming Er go to the greenhouse to take the basket and start to pick any wild weeds that we found in the field. I wonder how my father in law manages to take care of this vast farmland alone.

"Wifey, did your father taking care of this farmland, alone?"

Ming Er giggling when hears my question.

"Of course not, hubby. My mother and I and brother also help him sometimes, but mostly my mother did. There're also people that paid to help during the harvest time to pick the crops"

We crossing the field that planted with tomatoes. Its almost time to harvest the tomatoes. There're some tomatoes that already ripe and look delicious.

"Wifey, can I take one tomato there and taste it?"

"Sure, hubby. You can pick not just one, if you need it for cooking, you can take it as much as you needed"

"No need, I just want to try the taste"

"Um…okay….hubby! wait…wait"

Ming Er stop me when I about to pick a tomato.

"What's up wifey?"

"Let me take your pictures when you pick and eat that tomato"

"Oh…okay"

Ming Er takes the camera from her pocket and prepares to take the picture.

"Okay hubby, I'm ready to take pictures"

I take off the gloves that I wear when pulling the wild weeds and use my hand to pick and eat the tomato. The morning dews already washed the dust from the tomato which makes me not hesitate to eat it. I take a bite while look at Ming Er who hold her camera and give a smile. The tomato which I just bite gives a fresh and sweet taste in my mouth. I raise my thumb on my other hand to say 'it's a good tomato' before I eat them all. Well, because my father in law already said he not using pesticide or insecticide on his plants, I don't hesitate to eat it on the spot.

"Very good hubby…you look natural, maybe you can become a model or actor too. I get lots of good pictures here…I can't wait until we get home to upload this picture on my social media account"

"Hahaha…you really know how to make your hubby happy, wifey"

"I'm not lying…see yourself hubby"

I come closer to Ming Er to see the pictures she just takes in the camera.

"Look…you look great especially when you smile like that hubby"

"Is that really me?"

"Are you kidding hubby, who else in here except us and father"

"Maybe that because you take the picture on the right moment, maybe you can become a photographer too, wifey"

"Aaahh…hubby, you teasing me again. Take this!"

Ming Er bashfully tries to pinching my waist while I try to evade her hand. It ends with she chase me to pinch me all the way along the field. My father in law who saw it only shakes his head while smiling.
