Chapter 131 - Trade ( 2 )

He read the list and found three Rank-A Artifacts that may be suited for him.

At the moment, he has plenty of swords with him so he needed other types of equipment.

'They're all decent equipment…' Cyril commented.

Since he didn't know how to use other weapons like spears, halberds, bladed fans, axe, and others, he decided to check the items that he should have no issues with.

The first one is called Decimation Gloves that can increase the user's grip strength and it can create a powerful shockwave capable of ignoring most armors on each strike. This item would cost 7,400 Contribution Points.

Cyril decided to touch the picture drawn on the scroll and suddenly, a hologram of the black gloves appeared.

The list of artifacts was kept in the magical scroll, not only for aesthetics but also to create something like this.

This way, Grandma Thea no longer has to bring the items out just for them to see how it looks like.

The other one is an Old Phantom Cloak. It is a dirty brown cloak and the fabric appears to be thin contrary to his expectations.

Anyway, when Cyril saw this item, he thought that it might be a good pair for his Rank-A Identity Shroud Mask… After all, the mask can only alter his physical appearance.

On the other hand, the Old Phantom Cloak can provide additional help as it doesn't just boost his stealth activity but also creates a time-limited camouflage of his clothes.

Unfortunately, this cloak is quite expensive as it is worth 9,000 CP. Cyril was also not sure whether he would have a use for it in the next few months. Besides, he already has his Traceless Scarf as well.

Finally, Cyril found Elven Boots! The pair of boots is worth 8,000 CP but it is worth it! It has high-level rune magic called Haste and Nature's Firm Grasp.

"If I choose the gloves and the boots, that's a total of 15,400 contribution points… I'm short of 400 points." Cyril muttered as he scratches his head.

Grandma Thea heard his muttering and made a suggestion.

"Perhaps you have decent Artifacts there you want to trade? I can convert it to points."

"Oh! Right, it's possible to do that!"

Cyril still has several Rank-B swords so he decided to move outside the office for a moment and pull out an Enchanted Centaur Long Sword from his Dimensional Storage Space.

Cyril only disappeared for 20 seconds so the old woman was quite shocked when Cyril suddenly appeared carrying a huge sword.

"Just where did you get this?"

"I just left it outside… So, this should be a decent Rank-B, right?"

"Oh, let me see…" Grandma Thea decided not to dwell too much about how Cyril took this thing and quickly appraised the sword.

"Hmm… This isn't at the peak of the B-Rank so I can only give you 600 Contribution Points for this. Is that alright?"

"Six hundred points is enough… I will take Decimation Gloves and the Elven Boots. I would still have 200 points left… Do you have a suggestion for me?"

Cyril asked after confirming the items he'll purchase.

"For two hundred points… You can use it to convert into real money, buy information or perhaps some decent potions or low-tier defensive array discs for your immediate protection."

"Right…"

Cyril nodded since, during his F-Rank days in his past life, this is what he could get as well for 200 Contribution Points.

Well, an F-Rank Artifacts can only give you at least 15 CP and 40 CP at its peak. There are even many cases where he might earn more when he collected herbs and raw materials than F-Rank Artifacts.

'This is a good opportunity, I can still use my other swords to earn contributions points if I'm still lacking… Hmmm… I can finally use the Association's wide network of intelligence.'

"About the information which I could purchase, Grandma Thea… Is there something related to the Dragons, the Elven Kings, and Queens, or perhaps the Fairies?"

The old woman didn't immediately answer as he looked at Cyril with inquisitive eyes. It didn't last for long though as she asked Cyril with a puzzled tone.

"Why would you look for such information, if I may ask? I might be able to assist you more if I know more details."

Cyril somehow expected the question so he took a deep breath and answered.

"I'm very curious about them… The truth is that I can somehow communicate with the Elves through much effort. I learned about their language accidentally, I'm just curious about the existence of other powerful beings…"

"Ohhh! You know the Elven Language! Perhaps you know the person who has been helping the Aeson Company?"

As soon as Cyril heard her question, Cyril couldn't help but smile as he already predicted this to happen.

During the past few weeks, he had visited and assisted the researchers of the Aeson Company.

Just recently, they were able to make a breakthrough and created several useful Grade 1 Elven Runes. This prompted a lot of organizations to spy on them and learn about their secrets.

The Awakened Association would surely not lose on that.

Though the Runes they made may not be good enough when dealing with strong magical creatures, it is more than enough to help tons of Awakened to increase their power during combat.

Cyril paused for a moment before nodding his head and giving a mysterious smile.

"Hoho~ This is quite interesting. Very well, I won't be asking more about it. About the price for the information regarding the Dragons, let's see…"

Grandma Thea opened her book as she seemed to be looking for the price.

"That's worth 50 Contribution Points… There's not many, after all. As for the Elves and Fairies, their information combined is worth 150 CP… How about it?"

"I will take that offer, thank you for the discount, Grandma Thea." Cyril immediately thanked her.. He's aware that the old woman adjusted the price for him after all.
