Chapter 130 - Trade ( 1 )

"Are we really going to leave now?" Luna asked Cyril in a soft voice...

It's not like she still wanted to explore the place but she felt that they had to wait for the other teams first.

"Yes, that should be fine. And although the centaurs still have around 10 bead artifacts with them, they will be using it for my next trade in case I visited this place again... So there's no need to stay here and find more beads… We can let them do that." Cyril replied.

They are currently following Pherone's group as the Centaur Tribe wanted to make sure that they'll be able to get outside the forest without any issues.

"Right! Isn't this a bit weird, they have too many Bead Artifacts… I heard that only about 30 beads would normally appear in an Arcane World." Myrtle voiced out her suspicion. If the other teams also managed to find some bead artifacts, then this mid-class Arcane is surely an odd one. They heard that even some high-class Arcane World doesn't have such a high number.

"Oh… I think it's because this place is a bit more special…"

Cyril answered but did not explain too much. He guessed that the corruption of the Druids had something to do with that. However, he also doesn't have any explanation so he just thought of keeping it to himself.

"There are several Silver-Clawed Bears ahead… We will chase them away first." Pherone suddenly reported.

"Alright, just do what needs to be done..." Cyril nodded approving their actions. The Silver-Clawed Bears don't have any good materials on their bodies so he didn't bother to consider hunting them.

Aside from the average quality leather they could get, there's nothing else even their silver claws weren't that durable.

Chasing them away is indeed a better decision.

Cyril then translated his conversation to the two girls as they stopped walking for a while.

This happened a couple more times before they could finally leave the Dark Forest…

As expected, there are no signs of other teams returning to the platform. It was still early so they are still probably busy looking for the Bead Artifacts…

"Let's return…" Cyril said and soon, the three of them vanished as they reestablished the portal connected to their original world.

As soon as they returned, they immediately reported what had happened inside and the death of the three veterans.

This sudden news surprised many employees working at the Association since most of them were acquainted with Sylvian and the others, especially when Sylvian was still a member of the Phantom Troupe.

They were unable to provide any proof but they were at least able to report the exact location where it all happened. With the skills of the scouts working for the Association, it didn't take long before they confirmed their deaths…

Finally, after handing over the 25 Bead Artifacts, they received a total of 25,000 contribution points!

This is equivalent to handing 25 Peak Rank-B Artifacts to the Association!

"So many!"

"That's true, you can get several Rank-A Artifacts with that, right?"

Myrtle and Luna celebrated with Cyril. They are genuinely happy for him. Anyway, it's not like they contributed at all.

"That's true… Anyway, I only need 15,000 points. You can take other 10,000…" Cyril then arranged the transfer and soon, the two girls' license cards received 5,000 Contribution Points each.

Cyril wanted them to use it to improve their current equipment or perhaps, use them to purchase various potions or tools that they can use for any unexpected situation during exploration.

Soon, they made separate ways as Myrtle went to E-Rank Trading Office while Luna went to D-Rank Trading Office.

Of course, Cyril similarly went to the trading office meant for A-Rank Awakened on the sixth floor of the building.

While he was at the elevator, he suddenly thought of using his White Wolf Crystal Hunter… He secretly pulled it out from his Storage Space and used it silently.

"Eh?"

The device didn't take effect…

'It seems that there's some kind of jammer?' Cyril mused since he didn't see any Entrance Crystals indicated within the Association building at all!

That is, of course, something impossible since he had just come out from one of the crystals.

Cyril didn't think too much of it and kept his Crystal Hunter.

Soon, he arrived in front of the Trading Office for A-Rank Awakened.

As expected, the place is quite empty.

There's only an old woman, perhaps in her sixties, watching television while having a cup of tea. It feels like she already made this place her home.

'They're still letting her work here?' Cyril initially thought but she quickly

"How can I help you, young man?" The old woman asked amicably. She remained on her seat but she nodded at Cyril acknowledging his presence.

"I was told to come here to trade my Contribution Points." He answered.

"Oh? You're the new A-Rank Awakened? You're quite popular these days… I didn't think that we'll meet today." The old woman said as she stood up. She's wearing a conservative green dress and a black blazer covering her shoulder.

"So you've heard about me?" Cyril wasn't fully aware of how popular he was since he was too focused on his goals.

"Of course… A B-Rank reawakening as A-Rank, who wouldn't know about such person? I've seen you a few times on the news, you know? Oh, you can just call me Grandma Thea, Cyril."

"I understand, Grandma… I just earned 15,000 points with me, can I use it to trade for a Rank-A Artifact?"

"Fifteen thousand points? That was fast… and yes, you can use it to trade for one or two Rank-A Artifacts depending on your choice."

Grandma Thea then looked at the shelf and handed Cyril a scroll. It contains the list of tradeable Rank-A Artifacts.

Cyril found a total of 16 Rank-A Artifacts which is quite low... After all, the appearance of the Arcane World has been around for many decades now! This huge organization has been exploring for a long time now!

Sigh~

He could only think that the few A-Rank Awakened within the Association had just completed a trade and took several top tier Artifacts with them.

"Only sixteen choices, huh…" Cyril muttered as he carefully read the list.
