Chapter 45 - Ulquiorra vs Issei

"Yes, my opponent is Ulquiorra" Issei looked ahead and saw Ulquiorra looking at him.

"What a bad luck!" Akeno said.

"You can do it Issei! You don't have to win the battle you just have to perform good and it will give you good points!" Kiba said to him.

"Yes, I don't have to win! I just have to perform great in this battle!" Issei said as he clenched his fist.

After a dozen of minutes, it's Issei and Ulquiorra's time to battle. Many participants fought before their fight and already won the battle. And it's their time to perform in the battlefield.

"Looks like I have to go now" Issei said.

"Do your best Issei" Akeno encourage him.

"Hang in there Issei" Kiba said.

Issei nodded at them before he walked towards the circular battlefield made by demonic energy. He was feeling nervous, after all his opponent is Ulquiorra. The one who defeated a god.

"Both of you are ready?" the examiner asked.

Both of them nodded their head in response. The examiner raised his hand and put it down.

"Please start!"

A red gauntlet immediately appeared in his arm after the examiner said those words.

"Promotion Queen!" Issei quickly promote himself to a queen. He quickly raised his guard and saw Ulquiorra looking at him.

Suddenly a heavy pressure bore down onto him. This pressure almost made him down to his feet. The whole ground was trembling due to the spiritual pressure Ulquiorra was releasing. Not just the ground but the whole stadium was shaking. The examiner took a step back as he couldn't handle the pressure near them. His knees was shaking in fear this was the first time he felt this kind of power.

The other examiner was also trembling even though the battlefield were covered in barrier, they felt that it wouldn't be enough to hold Ulquiorra if he use his full power. Just a slight release of pressure made the stadium like this.

"This is the power that brought down the evil god Loki."

Ulquiorra slowly walked forward and said, "You wouldn't be able to defeat me if you're this weak."

Issei gritted his teeth as he looked at Ulquiorra. He said, "Ddraig!"

[Alright, partner] Ddraig replied.

Issei raised his left arm with great effort.

A red light covered Issei's body. When the red light stopped his body was covered with red armor. Dragon Wings appeared on his back and he immediately charge at Ulquiorra. He charge his power at his fist and shot a punch at Ulquiorra.

Ulquiorra saw him throwing punch at him. He immediately grabbed the handle of his sword and pulled it out.

Bang!!

Issei saw Ulquiorra block his punch with his sword. "It's not easy as I thought!"

Ulquiorra slashed his sword pushing Issei ten meters away.

"I'm not done!" Issei roared as the boost on his back thrust giving him more speed.

Ulquiorra slightly bent his knees and he charge straight at Issei.

Bang!

Both of their figure crashed into each other creating a shockwave. Issei flew and crashed into the ground causing a huge crater.

Ulquiorra landed on the ground and looked at Issei. "Is that it!"

Boom!

A large amount of power suddenly gushed out of Issei. Red aura covered the whole battlefield. Then it slowly turned crimson. Ulquiorra felt the sudden increase in Issei power and he also heard him muttering a chant.

Welsh Sonic Boost Knight!

"I'm not done yet, I must past the test for my dream" Issei shouted, "Armor Purge!"

Part of him armor fell out of his body and disappeared in the air. His armor became thin. Issei then dashed forward at a very high speed.

Swoosh!!

Ulquiorra was surprised for a moment. The increased in his power and speed was large.

He tilted his head and a fist passed beside his head. He grip his sword and slashed it forward.

Bang!!

"It didn't hit him" Ulquiorra murmured. When he slashed his sword he felt only the air.

A figure flashed behind him.

"Behind" Ulquiorra immediately turned around. But when he turned around he found that Issei was gone.

"I got you" Issei shouted as he throw a powerful punch.

"I see so this is what you called Illegal Move Triaina" Ulquiorra said in a low voice. A fist containing massive power was rushing towards the back of his head.

When Issei's fist was about to hit Ulquiorra, Ulquiorra vanished making him hit the air.

"What?!" Issei exclaimed suddenly he felt something smashed his body from above.

Ulquiorra was up above him pointing his finger at him.

A green beam pressed down Issei's body to the ground.

Boom!!

A large explosion occur that cracked the barrier covering the battlefield. The ground shook and the dust shot up in the air covering the whole battlefield. Large debris of rocks crashed into the barrier.

""Issei!!"" Akeno and Kiba shouted worriedly. They couldn't see what going on inside as ut was covered by smoke and dust.
