‘You are treating Jiang Sheng way too good, my boss! You never even pampered Lan Yuan like that before.’

Bai Hao mumbled to himself, but he didn’t speak it out. After all, that was Pei Siyan’s personal business, and he had no right to make comments on it.

In the meantime, Shan Zihao had just received the report from his subordinate. He frown when he heard that none of their men had responded to him after they were sent to Pei Siyan’s mansion.

“That’s okay. We’ve earned ourselves some time. That will be enough already.” Shan Zihao suddenly started to smile shadily; he seemed to have some schemes already.

“Tell the second squad to retreat. There’s no need to wait outside.”

“Retreat? But, I thought we’ve promised Master Hao to capture Pei Siyan’s wife for him!”

‘What should we tell Master Hao if we just retreat like that?’

“I have my own plans. Retreat.”

“Understood.”

The subordinate didn’t ask anything more. He called the second squad and told all of them to retreat.

At the same time, at Master Hao’s place.

“Shan Zihao really sent his people to Pei Siyan’s place?” Master Hao asked while sitting in his office chair.

His subordinate replied right away, “Yes, Master Hao. Shan Zihao didn’t lie to you. He did send his people there.”

‘Ha~ wise choice. He would die in regret if he lies to me.’

“But Master Hao, is Shan Zihao really capable of kidnapping Lan Yuan for you?” The subordinate asked with confusion.

Master Hao had a fit abruptly, “Kidnap? No! It’s inviting him! Watch your mouth and choose your words carefully.”

“Yes, I’m sorry, Master Hao, inviting him.”

The subordinate shivered in fear. He couldn’t figure out why Master Hao would be so mad at this one word he used.

“Keep following them and don’t make any move. But if Shan Zihao ever dares to go violent on Lan Yuan, kill him.”

He frowned and his eyes were filled with cruelty when he said the last two words.

“Yes, understood.”

The subordinate left as fast as he could because it was too dangerous for him to stay here.

Inside Pei Siyan’s mansion, Bai Hao could no longer sense the smell of werewolves and then said to Pei Siyan, “It looks like that they have retreated. It’s Shan Zihao’s style to do things like this.”

‘Why would they come again today? Haven’t they learned their lessons for attacking us yesterday? They’ve lost so many people already. When can they learn?’

“Should I investigate this and find out what this is all about?” Bai Hao asked.

“Blahblahblah… You can say whatever you want since it’s your mouth. I’m f**king tired now and I want to go back to sleep. Carry me back to the room now.” Jiang Sheng said that in a commanding tone of voice.

Bai Hao was in a trance when he saw that not only did Pei Siyan not get mad at Jiang Sheng, but he smiled and carried Jiang Sheng upstairs as ordered.
