31 Carrying a Treasure Was the Only Crime

"What does it represent?" Su Luo raised her small face. Her eyes were bright and alluring.

As a matter of fact, she knew absolutely nothing about the martial world she was in. She had only recently gotten some information from Lvluo.

Nangong Liuyun's eyes were slightly slanted, bright, and veiled by a scarlet luster like blood-red roses. He pressed on her shoulders gravely and spoke each word slowly, saying, "It means that you, Su Luo, also possess the Space Element, not just the Wood and Fire elements. Do you understand?"

Frustration took over Nangong Liuyun's face. He was dumbfounded by Su Luo's good luck.

The Space Element. It was so rare on the continent now that it was almost on the verge of extinction.

"A Space Element mage?" Su Luo was astonished. She was like a curious child. "I thought there were only five elements in the world – Wood, Fire, Wind, Water, and Thunder? How come there is an extra Space Element?" she asked earnestly.

"That is because the Space Element mages had disappeared from the continent hundreds of years ago. As a result, people started to omit the Space Element. They then renamed the Six Elements as the Five Elements," Nangong Liuyun explained.

Nangong Liuyun was almost dumbstruck. How could anyone be so fortunate?

Her inherent spiritual power was top grade purple-rank.

She was an element mage who was double-talented.

Additionally, she was blessed with the Wood and Fire elements, so she would be able to practice as an apothecary.

On top of that, she could become a Space Element mage. They were supposed to be long gone from the world!

The Space Element... Even thinking about it made Nangong Liuyun drool with envy.

Although there were Space Rings circulating on the continent, a container like a Space Ring was an entirely different concept than a Space mage.

A Space Ring was nothing more than a storage vessel for the Space Element. Space mages, on the other hand, inherently carried the Space Element around with them at all times. It was like a new world that was created entirely by themselves. Furthermore, the small world would expand slowly as the host's cultivation level rose. No one really knew how extensive it could wind up in the end.

In addition, only Space mages had the ability to make new Space Rings.

Because Space mages had all but disappeared on the continent, Space Rings were now extraordinarily precious and expensive.

For instance, the Emperor was the only person in the entire East Hill who possessed a Space Ring. And even that one only had a modest storage capacity.

An innocent man's only crime was carrying a treasure.

If the words of the girl being a Space mage got out, numerous groups of influential people on the continent would undoubtedly not hesitate to snatch her or fight over her.

In addition to the well-known powerful families, some hidden aristocratic families would not be able to resist such temptation.

After all, having a Space mage meant controlling the production of Space Rings. Even though it might only be achieved in the distant future, these aristocratic families had all the time and patience in the world.

Su Luo was now in possession of a mountain of treasure yet had no ability to defend herself. Thankfully, only she and Nangong Liuyun knew about the matter at that point.

Nangong Liuyun said to Su Luo solemnly, "Girl, this information about the Dragon's Ring – you can never, ever tell anyone else. Otherwise, even I wouldn't be able to protect you."

Needless to say, as an assassin in her previous life, Su Luo knew about the complexity and greed of human nature. She nodded while saying with a serious face, "Of course I won't tell anyone else. Still, how was the Dragon's Ring related to my Wood-Fire Double-Talented elements?"

"The connection within is quite intricate. To put it simply, your Space Element is too dominating and therefore suppressed the other two elements. That's why you can't practice yet. Things should become better after your Space Element starts to appear."
