Chapter 131 - Bashful Kid

Dr. Huo rushed towards the ward where a Nurse was vacillating in front of the door, she stopped and turned back to face the man and felt anxious as to how she should break the unfortunate news when Dr. Huo had specifically ordered her to not Li Na move or shift until he came to meet the injured girl. But, there was nothing much a Nurse could do to prevent it as the girl was taken away.

And now dejected the Nurse couldn't even describe the event, it was early at dawn when Lu Jianjun had stepped out of the ward and had directly asked for Li Na's discharge papers. 

Pressurized not to offend such a big personality, she tried to delay the process while making excuses but couldn't last long, in the end, she had to follow the hospitals' regulations as the man was getting impatient and furious. Just as Lu Jianjun signed the papers, she couldn't question his authority being Li Na's guardian then few men came with an unknown Nurse and took the patient before the Sun could rise fully above the horizon. 

The Nurse shivered as she recalled the stern warning Lu Jianjun gave a moment before leaving the hospital. 

Dr. Huo stopped and asked in an impatient voice, as he saw her pale face "You don't look fine! What happened? Li Na is alright...or she messed..." 

The Nursed hurriedly said, "No, she did nothing! And I'm fine Doctor Huo," she bowed her head gratefully and reassured again.

Relaxed, Doctor Huo sighed," Is President Lu still inside?" he looked towards the door and glass window but couldn't see inside as the curtain was closed completely.

"President Lu left an hour ago," the Nurse replied tensely as Doctor Huo grinned with satisfaction and turned to enter the patient's room saying, "That's good! You know Li Na is not a mere patient, how important she is for..." the Nurse followed inside to explain.

"Doctor Huo," Nurse called out, " The patient also left," she hung her head as low as she could not see the furious face. Furious, Doctor Huo couldn't help but scolded the lady for not informing of earlier. The Nurse could only hear his furious condemns and she answered his every question with the same sentence, "Because President Lu said so...and he had told me to warn you,"

"What is it?" Frowning, Doctor Huo asked frostily.

The Nurse continued indecisively,"...To stay away from his personal matters... especially matters concerning Miss Li." Doctor Huo became alarmed and felt humiliated by Lu Jianjun's threat as his face reddened.

"President Lu also asked you to behave wisely otherwise the consequence will be of the worst kind you could ever imagine," she added and lowered her head not to look at the fuming old man.

Whisking his hairs with a towel, Lu Jianjun stepped out after taking the shower, as he waved his hand to dismiss the Nurse from his bedroom who was kept to tend Li Na's fresh injuries. Completing the dressing, she got up taking the tray of blooded bandages and she left silently.

Before him, two tiny steps platform above which on the huge bed, Li Na was in deep sleep. She looked much better in normal clothes now and not in the hospital ones.

Just then Butler Wu entered, cautious enough not to make any noise to disturb the girl. Carrying a tray, he kept it on the table before Lu Jianjun and silently greeting his master started to prepare his regular tea. 

The door slightly creaked open, and a little frame cautiously peeked inside. The moment Lu Jianjun and Little Tiger's eyes meet, the emotions of betrayal rose in Little Tiger's eyes, and instantly hardening his expression he slammed the door shut and ran back to his bedroom.

Startled, Lu Jianjun looked at Butler Wu inquiring the reason. Then with a dejected heart, Butler Wu explained How long Little Tiger waited for Li Na at the dinner table hopelessly waiting for her and later on what destruction he did to it? 

Lu Jianjun's brows raised, and then he realized the most obvious reason for Little Tiger's fury was because both of them didn't return home last night.

Lu Jianjun frowned hearing the whole insight and paused in between having his tea then he stood up and went to first check upon Little Tiger.

Angry Little Tiger had tucked himself back into the soft blanket and pretended to be asleep, ignoring the numerous calling and questions Lu Jianjun asked about his well-being. Little Tiger had decided not to talk to anyone.

Lu Jianjun sighed, looking at the stubborn kid neglecting him, though he didn't wish to act harshly against him and wanted to explain Li Na's injured condition to Little Tiger calmly he felt compelled to lesson the kid for the mess he created in the dining room. But then the images of injured Li Na crossed before his eyes and the fact that Little Tiger didn't know what happened to her last night, Lu Jianjun choose to deal with Little Tiger patiently. He didn't want Little Tiger to drown in his own guilt and shame after knowing they were in hospital yesterday night.

Waiting quietly for sometimes then he sat on the near chair until the Sun rose to shine brightly. After a while, Little Tiger cautiously opened his eyes to check his room and Lu Jianjun's eyes squinted at the child's audacity. "Are you done with your acting?" Immediately, Little Tiger turned his back upon his father and covered his head with the blanket.

Li Na stood in front of the mirror, her brows deeply knitted as she closely examined her stomach injuries. Her eyes darkened and fingers clutched the hem of the top tightly. Now that she knew who tried to kidnap her and what was their intentions, she can't wait to get better and settle it once and for all, she knows it will happen again and again in the future if she does nothing to stop them.

Hearing the door knock and footsteps entering the closet, Li Na pulled down her top and tied her brownish hair into a messy bun. Lu Jianjun opened up his closet as he went through his stuff, Li Na's eyes moved to look at the man behind her through the mirror. 

Flashes of Lu Jianjun's reaction to her injuries and their late-night talk appeared before her as she cleared her throat loudly, feeling a little strange about it. Lu Jianjun was somewhat sweet and considerate enough to be polite with her. She felt inflated in her mood.

"Where is Little Tiger?" Li Na spun around and asked merrily about the kid as she hasn't seen or heard about Little Tiger since yesterday morning when she had left the kid with a hollow commitment. 

"Go and see yourself!" Lu Jianjun said dejectedly.

Li Na caught his irritation and she guessed that she had to be utterly wrong about the whole idea of Lu Jianjun been polite with her, he merely showing sympathy with her in the hospital.

"Like always... it's my fault that I asked you..." Li Na replied frostily and walked out of the closet. Lu Jianjun halted and looked back at her quizzically.

Cautiously walking, Li Na stepped out of the room and saw Butler Wu coming out of Little Tiger's room. He stopped and politely smiled at her. Li Na gave a curious look at him wanting to know about Little Tiger as he opened the door wide for her to see the boy sitting on the bed with wet hairs, just taken a bath but yet to be fully dressed.

The boy was quietly immersed in playing his device game. But the moment Li Na saw him half-naked, he looked at her and Little Tiger's face instantly turned red. Alarmed, Li Na too rushed forward quickly. Little Tiger screamed as he tried to push the door but Li Na caught it in time before it gets completely shut and lock. Unable to apply enough force to close the door, Little Tiger ġrȯȧnėd with grievance and embarrassment that she had not only seen him sitting in a towel but now she wants to tease him. Overcome by the humiliation that his reputation and dignity were tarnished as being a proud little man, Little Tiger instantly rushed towards his bathroom. But before he could make it further, Li Na had caught the little guy by his waist from behind as she easily lifted the bashful kid in her arms. Hot-faced, Little Tiger covered his face with both hands shaking his head wishing it to be his nightmare.
