267 6.61 Journey To The West Not That JTTW Series...Fuuuh

As implied by Izumi and similarly by the voice that boomed across the heavens while I was receiving the new cultivation levels, I've chosen to set aside a duration to make a journey to the west side of the monastery. Hopefully, Miroku also known as Hoshi-sama would be able to give some guidance since he also knew about my Third Eye but couldn't make out anything else besides it.

"Sensei, I would like to head down to the west side of the monastery. Would you like to come along with Izumi and me there? I am sure that you would be able to know more about me since I had attained the latest level. I would like to find out more about this." I proposed to Hiko-sama since I might be able to take advantage of this cultivation level or not.

"How did you know about your new cultivation level? Did something happen to you?" inquired Hiko-sama as he eyed me with suspicion.

"Yes, Sensei. Something did transpire to me early this morning and I would prefer to get an appraisal on my new results, that's all." I answered in a matter of fact to Hiko-sama and he bobbed his head in agreement.

"Alright then, since you are here, let's head out after lunch. Your Majesty would retire back at his castle or to the business conference building. The 4 Execom members had to entertain some new merchants. There are 14 of them and they had come all the way from Saga."

"It had taken them more than 24 hours to get here by carriage and according to the map, they had travelled about 1350 km. Let them rest for one day before they resume their intention to purchase the merchandise. The 4 Execom members had accommodated their lodgings above."

"I will notify Hachi to organize for a super long haul back which expects at least 4 stopovers before they could arrive there safely. That solitary journey would cost 135 gold coins per flight. The total flights would be 1890 gold coins for a total of 14 extended flights. Just have to take note of it, kid."

"Understood, Sensei. Let's move out after lunch, shall we Izumi?" I agreed at Hiko-sama's suggestion and right after lunch, we made our journey to the monastery in the west.

It was a totally different atmosphere when we reached the foot of the hill. Basically, there weren't many residential houses there and the journey was a bit off the beaten trail. We had exited the western gate and from there, only a single path lined the mountainous area.

There's not even a place for a horse to pass through and the mountain top was used to be titled as 'Nameless Peak' even to this day. It was told that the possessor of the Peak was one of the scholars of a faction that was eradicated many years ago and lived an immortal who comprehended everything even before we enunciate it to him.

We looked up to the peak and observed that it was wrapped with a white mist. We only have to scrutinize our steps or we end up plunging to our demises when these mist shifted and concealed the path in front of us. The occurrence was like the one I had in specific parts of Taiwan before.

I carried my Kodachi with me and with the employment of the Kamehameha, I was able to disseminate some of the mist that encompassed the path ahead. No wonder the east side monastery didn't urge us to go and deliver the surplus ration of rice to the west side here. Little did we realise how precarious the route to the top of the peak was.

It took us more than an hour just to arrive at the top of the peak and once we got there, we were even stunned that no one is there to meet or greet us. Only a solitary monastery building existed at the peak and no other elements of life were visible.

"You must be Himura Kenshin and you are here to seek the answer to the path of the righteous. Hiko Seijuro, you are a guardian to this boy and you have done well in your guardianship. Izumi, you had emerged in Himura's life and thus becoming the ultimate true love of his life. I am the Immortal that had been living here for the last dozens of years in solitary. Is there anything you need to know about your path of righteousness, Himaru?"

The Immortal said as he describes every one of them, conversing with to us before he materializes from the depths of the monastery, wearing clothing only known to be from The Five Nobles Family.

"I know what you are thinking, Himura. You are right, I am from one of the Five Noble Family and I am the dependent of Sima. The clothing that I wore on me represents my clan with the two white dragons embroidered in front and the two white tigers encircling each other at the back. See, do you like them? It costs me just $15 for the black pants and $45 for the top at Mustafa Plaza."

The immortal from Sima family showed off his garb to us and we were awed since it was embroidered and not silkscreen or something like that. "You really got a good bargain at Mustafa Plaza yea?" Hiko-sama praised at the satin finish of the clothes. "It's the last piece...lucky me to get my hands on it. There's another but it is not my colour...bright fireman red...haiyoo...!" replied the Immortal as both he and Hiko-sama were engaging in small talk.

"Sheesh...these 2 guys have certainly made this chapter out of context about their shopping experiences. Haiyoo..." Izumi lamented to me as we watched the two men discussing where they should go for their next shopping trip and what's there to buy et cetera.

"Alright, Hiko...just give me a ring if you want to get the best deals in town okay? Pity this Himura, he is here to find the answers to his questions that's forming in his head right now and the main question was 'When do I stop talking to you and attend to him next' hahahahaha..." the Immortal just shrugged his shoulders and pointed at me who was squatting on the ground and was using a twig to disturb a nest of black ants in the sand.

"Oi kid...its your turn now." Hiko-sama was calling out to me and bring me back to reality since I was making the twig like a tree trunk and was forcing the black ants to carry it back to their nest. Hahahaha.

"Oh...its my turn already. Immortal One, I had broken through my bottleneck and a voice boomed in the heavens and informed me that I had reached the 'Humble Master' cultivation level. What does it actually do and represent and how come the rank sounded so 'ordinary' to me." I asked as I moved away from the angry mob of ants that I had disturbed earlier.

Izumi was giggling at me as some ants managed to crawl up my feet and got into my hakama and I was trying to stomp and scratch to get rid of them.

"That was me, who else can it be who enlightened you to bring about your journey to the west here...? Hahahahaha. I used this megaphone and communicated with you. How else would I be able to achieve this without this megaphone? Hahahaha. By the way, you had meditated so many times and enhanced yourself without knowing and attaining levels and upgraded yourself."

"Tell me how many times you had meditated in a day to enter the Realm of Mind? How many times do you enter alone or with someone else? How many times have you done your visualisation? How many hours have you stayed inside the Realm of Mind?"

"These are factors that you didn't realise that made you level up every Cheng until you got to this stage? Did you realise that you had reached the maximum level of Cheng and reached a bottleneck thus resulting you to get a blackout? Luckily you didn't die because of your depletion of your Chi."

"Right now to surpass your 1st Cheng as a Humble Master, you need to enter the Realm of Mind at least 250 times, spend at least 1080 hours in it, visualise at least 450 items and practice your Chi breathing and be one with mother earth for at least 2500 times."

"Luckily for you, if not for Izumi here...you won't be able to surpass your last level and remained at a vulnerable position that's open to attack. Don't your guardian tell you anything about it? By the way, the transformation of your Kodachi to Dragon Scales used up a lot of your Chi and that's why you fainted some days later."

I stood there dumbfounded as I realised that I had placed my life in danger without realising it. I listened to the Immortal One and found out that it would be another few months before I could surpass level 1 Cheng of the Humble Master and there's 12 Chengs altogether. Ara ma.....nasi lomak... Hahahaha.
