Chapter 70 - Chapters 29 - Catherine's Revelation

After the settlement, the kids went to Delia's small grocery store. At the same time, when had no tasks at home, Rosario had started volunteering at her neighbor's store business. And upon seeing the kids entering, the two working mothers greeted them while handling a customer and putting some boxed products onto a shelf.

"Hi, mom," Ash greeted back. His Pikachu then responded with greeting.

And when Delia saw Catherine, she gasped a bit and then said, "Catherine, is that you?" And upon seeing her mother, Catherine gasped as well, asking, "Mom, is that you?" Due to this, Rico, Ash, Serena, Iris, Lucario, Pikachu, Delphox, and Axew are stunned by it, with Ash asking, "Mom?"

"Ash," Delia responded in stunning, "this is your secret sister." This statement caused Ash to shout, "WHAT!!?" This noise transferred from him to the outside surroundings.

Later, as everyone was settled, Ash started the conversation, "So mom, why do I had a secret sister?" Taking a deep breath, Delia softly and mildly answered him, "The truth is: She had gone to the Tahod Region to study technology and work." This stuns everyone except Catherine.

"You mean that girl went abroad," Iris commented in amazement, "and haven't returned for years?" Her Axew then responded in asking.

"At such a young age?" Rico added a question.

"Yes," Delia answered them both in down, "She loves mechanics and tech and wanted to study in a university in the Tahod Region."

"So you let her?" Serena raised a question.

"Yes," Delia answered her softly, "and I don't know how I would say this to Ash, because he was so young at the time." Then to Ash in remorse, "Ash, I'm really sorry about hiding this all these years. It's just I'm too scared to say this to you." This follows a very short silence.

"It's okay!" Ash happily answered, "I think you're too shy to do so. I'm just wanting to find out the truth." Because of this, Delia, in pity happiness, hugged her son in embrace, and responded, "Oh, thank you, Ash. I'm so happy." This heart-warming scene caused everyone to say "A.." in emotion. This clears Delia's conscience, but not enough because someone in the family was not yet showed up.

By lunchtime, at Ash's house, Martin had also clear things up to his family, preventing a conflict and fight within them. Ash had completely accepted everything up. In the same time, Catherine had resolved her relationship with her family by getting a part-time job at a restaurant in the town, telling her previous employer that she'll be quitting her job in the Tahod Region and declaring her hotel manager that she'll be vacating her rental hotel room and moved back to Kanto. Days later, it became true. Catherine's employer and hotel manager agreed with her, commenting how she cares for her family. But there's a missing piece of the Ketchum family that still lingers in the Kalos region. And that kid will establish a relationship with one of Ash's friends. Will he go home or not?
