Chapter 63 - 22 - Jonathan's Flashback

Later after healing up their Pokémon, Rico and Jonathan are at home having a conversation in the living room while Rosario was taking a break from her chores.

"Man, that was an insane battle," Rico commented in positivity.

"Yeah, it is," Jonathan replied while relaxing on the sofa with his feet resting on the coffee table. His Boldore then responded in happiness.

And then suddenly, Lucas came home from work for lunch, greeting them, but stunned at Jonathan's sudden appearance.

"D-Dad?" Jonathan responded back in stunning. This causes to drop Lucas' shoulder bag to the floor and Magneton shocked. The rest got stunned by this scene. Jonathan then remembered his father in the past. After recalling, Jonathan stand up, ran to Lucas, and hugged him in relief and tears.

"Jonathan Sayor, is that you?" Lucas asked him in tears.

"Yes, it's me, dad, it's me," Jonathan replied in tears, "I...I'm home, dad."

"Yes, you are," Lucas replied back; he then hugged him back as the rest watched in emotion and relief.

By lunch time, as they eat, Lucas asked Jonathan how he managed to stay alive in all these years of separation.

"Alright, dad, I'll tell what happened," Jonathan calmly replied in settlement of attitude. He then began told his story of disappearance.

After jumping from a waterfall, Jonathan managed to swim to a riverbank and escaped from Blue Eye. Later on, he ended in another town, and got unconscious from fatigue and exhaustion, collapsing at a doorstep of a home. Luckily, a woman came forward and brought the youngster in.

Inside the house, Jonathan woke up, only to be stunned that he was lying on a bed with a damp cloth on his forehead. The woman, who was a housewife, then came to him while holding a tray of food and drinks.

"Are you okay, son?" she softly asked him as she checked the cloth for temperature.

"Yes, I'm... I'm fine," Jonathan calmly replied while getting up, "Where am I?" He then grabbed the sandwich and a glass of water and consumed in extreme hunger.

"You're in the town of Muñoz," the woman responded softly.

"Woah, how long I was out there?" Jonathan asked her in puzzling.

"Around 3 days," replied the woman.

Jonathan: (Voiceover) I ended up in Muñoz Town for a few days. By the time I was allowed to leave, I decided not to go back home and instead wandered the world. I stayed in the Kalos region for over a year in the Ninja Village, training with my Greninja. They liked me a lot and never discriminated me. I even became a ninja after that.

(Story)

At the Ninja Village in the Kalos region, Jonathan was meditating at the forest with his Greninja, when a ninja boy walked to him and commented about his training whilst crossing his arms, "Wow, you're getting right and excellent on that meditation time." Taking a break from meditation, Jonathan got up and responded, "Yes. Me and Greninja are now improving our bond and friendship."

"Good," the ninja replied brightly, "come on, it's lunch time. You don't want to get a flat stomach if you didn't."

"Yeah, yeah, I know," Jonathan replied in getting what the ninja says. Then to his Greninja, "Come on, Greninja, let's eat." His Greninja then obeyed him, got up, and go with him and the ninja boy.

Jonathan: (Voiceover) I had been living in that place as a farmer and fisherman just to survive, but it was worth it, like an apple was cut into an apple pie. After a whole year of training, I decided to embark on my new journey to another region named Unova.

(Story)

A year later, Jonathan pack up and left the village, heading for Unova by plane. There he skipped going to Juniper's lab and straight through the region.

Weeks later, he caught a Pokémon named Roggenrola.

Several weeks after, his Roggenrola evolved into a Boldore while having a battle against a trainer.

Jonathan: (Voiceover) I caught a Boldore in Unova and learned its history and culture. And then, I landed in Sinnoh and Hoenn as well, and got myself a Riolu and a Pokémon egg.

(Story)

Time skipped. He got a Riolu and a Pokémon egg. And at a restaurant in Sinnoh, an old man approached to him while eating, and asked him, "Do you have a family?"

"Yes," Jonathan honestly replied.

"I heard you went missing 6 years ago," the man responded. "Why you won't go home to see them?"

"I don't know, sir," Jonathan answered while drinking. "I think they had sold my stuff."

"Well," the man responded while thinking, "I had a relative who lived there said that your parents didn't sold your stuff. They still keep it because they believed that you'll come back." Upon hearing this, Jonathan was stunned and alerted, standing up while he dropped his fork to the plate, capturing the attention of the people around him.

"What? Really?" Jonathan responded in stunning while placing his hands on the table. The man then nodded to say yes. Almost overjoyed by this, Jonathan shake hands with him quickly a bit and responded, "Thank you, thank you, sir. I promised I'll come home to them." He then grabbed his belongings and ran out of the restaurant whilst tossing the payment onto the cashier's desk.

"Go home, my son, go home!" the man shouted in not holding back.

Jonathan: (Voiceover) And then, that's the moment I realized how I left my family behind and went for my own goals and dėsɨrės. So, I packed up and took a plane to Philas via Kanto.

(Story)

Arriving in Kanto, while his flight was over a day more, Jonathan decided to explore the region while waiting.

"Jonny, I found you," Blue Eye retorted in style. "There you are."

"You again?" Jonathan responded with resentment.

"Yes, it's me," Blue Eye responded. "Now come with me, sweetie."

"For the last time, I'm not your sweetie!" Jonathan shouted back in resentment. He then turned around and ran away fast.

"Come back here, my handsome," Blue Eye retorted in style; she and her grunts then pursued him. Jonathan was now running across the forest in desperate as Blue Eye and her team give chase to him.

Jonathan:(Voiceover) One night, I was being chased by Blue Eye while hiking to Pallet Town.

(Story)

Then, after an hour of running, Jonathan stopped at a cliff towards down the waterfall. And as Blue Eye and her grunts are now approaching towards him, Jonathan turned serious, hold his breath, and jumped down to the waterfall, taking the leap of faith and fate. Blue Eye and her grunts then stopped aside and just observed him.

Jonathan: (Voiceover) I ran away from her and leaped to a waterfall, escaping from her with my life.

Back at the present, Jonathan was down, saying, "I'm sorry, mom and dad. I was so selfish at the time, I could forget about you. P-Please forgive me." Understanding his feelings, Lucas softly responded, "It's okay, son, we forgive you. As long as you're safe and sound."

"We knew you'll come home," Rosario softly replied in pity happiness.

"Thanks, mom and dad," Jonathan softly and slowly replied, "This time, I will not leave you guys behind." This statement caused everyone to be happy, as the sun rises over the map middle of the day, shining throughout the land and time.

Much later, before Lucas would go back to work, the family took a family photo using a camera, with Jonathan donning a brown pants with pockets, a buŧŧoned, collared, coal black short polo shirt, and, for the finishing touch, a blue textile necktie. Once that done, they put it in a frame and display it in the living room, with copies in various rooms as well.
