Chapter 43 - 2 - Rebuilt and Restore

Name:Pokemon Pearl Author:Marc0702
10 months after Rico's first Pokémon, first battle, first Pokédex, first encounter with an enemy, and the festival, everything had changed. The city had been finished rebuilt in just 3 months, 2 weeks, and 25 days. Rico had trained up without a mentor, and had won 4 city Pokémon tournaments in two weeks. He had now 56 Pokémon entries in his Pokédex, ranging from the Hoenn region to the Kalos region. Well, for him, everything is now back to normal. And also, he had recently finished 5th grade, and now about to move forward to 6th grade. At that time, he had learned completely about the Sinnoh Pokémon, especially the Legendary ones. He has plans to become a Pokémon trainer, but though wanted to participate in the Philas League, he didn't know what region he'll visit. For him, choosing a region to get a starter Pokémon and catch more Pokémon can get more complex and difficult. Sometimes, he didn't know what to get or where to go. But he did visited the Sinnoh Region to see Dawn, but never had the opportunity to get a starter or catch some Pokémon. So, he was thinking, "Where should I go then?"

One day, shortly after Rico's 12th birthday, something unexpected happened. Arriving from work, Lucas announced something new to his family: They will be moving to Kanto due to a fact that Lucas was transferred to his company's Kanto sector. Rico, Rosario, and their Pokémon are stunned and amazed by this.

"Woah, dad, Kanto?" Rico commented in asking.

"Are we gonna move there?" Rosario added in worry. Her Sylveon then responded in unsure.

"Yes, we will," Lucas brightly replied, "Well, in fact, I don't want to be lonely in a small house or apartment room during my off days, so I bought a bigger house at a small town called Pallet Town."

"Wow, that's nice and cool, daddy," Rico replied in semi-puzzling, "But where's that sector of your company?"

"In Viridian City," Lucas answered him softly and mildly, "Just a short drive from Pallet Town. I chose that town because it's nice and peaceful, plus I heard that it developed a bit bigger over time."

"Woah, that's good," Rosario replied in interesting, "Can you show some pictures of it?" In response, Lucas showed them the pictures of Pallet Town in his smartphone. He swiped to another one every few seconds as Rico, Rosario, and their Pokémon gazed in amazement. After that, Rico said to his father in doubt, "Uh, daddy, that sounds great, but not great for me." Riolu and Piplup then responded in a mix of doubt and plain.

"Why?" Lucas responded in positivity.

"I would miss my friends and school here," Rico replied in semi-sadness, "Plus, I was about to begin my 6th grade. How I supposed to study if we're gonna move out?" Thinking about this, Lucas suggested to him, "I know! How about I request your school principal to send your homework and tests to Kanto? That way you could study, and you can send it back for checking at the end of each month. How's that sound?" Thinking about this, Rico responded with a little positivity, "Sure, that's a good idea, dad. Thanks."

"You're welcome, son," Lucas happily replied back, "And we'll have visits and vacations here, especially on my business meetings." His Magneton then responded in happiness.

The next day, at the city park playground, as Rico, Maneki, and Santiago sat on metal swings, Rico talked about his moving to Kanto.

"What?" Maneki commented in asking, "You're moving out? To a place called Kanto?"

"Yes," Rico briefly replied, "And I'm gonna miss you guys. Thanks for being my friends." In response to this, Santiago bursted into tears, and hugged Rico whilst crying with waterfalls of tears.

"Please, don't go!" he begged Rico to stay.

"I know, but it's my parents' decisions," Rico briefly and calmly replied, "But I'll visit you guys if I have the time, and our school will send me homework and tests every week so I could study." Calming down and wiping his tears using his white, hand-held towel, Santiago responded, "Okay, I understand now."

"Man, you're such a baby," Maneki joked Santiago. Upset by this, Santiago retorted sharply, "I'm not!" Maneki then bursted into laughter. Hearing this, Rico slowly joined into laughter.

Later, by afternoon, at the beach, as Riolu, Litleo, and Piplup trained up themselves, Rico was thinking something. Seeing their trainer not commanding them, Riolu, Litleo, and Piplup asked him one by one.

"Oh, I, uh," Rico responded to them with noticing, "I was thinking about our new home in another region. I think it'll be great to have new Pokémon and friends, and some better environment to train. How's that sound?"

"Riolu!" Riolu happily responded

"Litleo, Lit!" Litleo happily responded.

"Piplup, Piplup, Pip," Piplup happily responded. Rico then smiled in happiness.

"What?" Dawn, in the other end of the line, responded in stunning, "You're moving to Kanto?"

"Yeah," Rico replied, "My father had been transferred to his company's Kanto sector in Viridian City."

"Oh, I see," Dawn calmly replied, "Well, good luck on your trip there. Call me if you had arrived there. Okay?" Silently nodded in agreement, Rico agreed, "Okay, good night;" he then ended his and Dawn's conversation.

After that, Rico turned off the lights, and lay down on his bed as his Pokémon go to sleep on the carpet.

"I will be missing this old house," he thought while looking at the ceiling, " But the new house will be worth it. Don't worry, I'll visit you from time to time." He then closed his eyes and slept peacefully, thinking about his new house.
