Chapter 35 - 35 - Stopping Red Eye

After hearing Absol's warning response, Rico came back to his house and packed up his backpack with supplies like smartphone, Pokémon supplies, Pokeballs, things used to hack traps, doors, and cages, etc. After that, Rico, before leaving the house, left the house and gate keys on the table, with a small folded note slide in it. After all that, he ran to the streets and to the outskirts of the city to find the source​ of the laser. Will he succeed in stopping Red Eye, or not?

Meanwhile, back at the park, Lunick, Solana, and a dozen police officers are busy backing up the people from being struck by Arceus' Hyperbeam, for safety.

After some time, Rico arrived at Red Eye's mountain base. He was hiding behind some trees and watched the Pokémon Pinchers guarding the front entrance of the base.

"I can do this," Rico seriously thought while watching them, "Remember, take the risk." He then come out and when he's about to beat the guards, Blue Ninja speed around and threw shurikens at the guards, weakening them, and eventually allowed Rico to sneak in without any obstacle.

"Oh, I never expect that'll happen," Rico thought in stunning. Then in a normal, confident state, "Oh well, that's easy for me." He then unlocked the metal, front door using a piece of metal sheet and sneak in.

Inside the base, while Rico was walking through the dark, poorly-lit hallways, Blue Ninja ran to him and joined him in a serious state.

"What the...? You again?" Rico shockingly asked him in surprise upon seeing him.

"Yup, that's me," Blue Ninja answered him in serious surprising him. His Pikachu then responded in a mix of happiness and seriousness, "And I'm here to help you stop Red Eye from succeeding his plans."

"Oh, okay," Rico replied as he clams down. This follows a short silence with walking and looking around.

"Wait, is he's going to help me?" Rico thought in focusing, "I think so. That'll be great." They then searched at various rooms and chambers for an hour. They are searching for documents and blueprints for Red Eye's weapon. And later, they wandered in an archives chamber. It was dark, with sparkling, broken light bulbs, so both kids light up their flashlights.

"What's this?" Rico asked as he looks around.

"I think...they are Red Eye's stuff," Blue Ninja seriously answered him, "Let's look around." Rico then nodded in agreement. And so, they looked around the room, touching, reading, and getting papers, documents, and carefully-planned blueprints. After much consideration of searching, they came across a photo copy of Red Eye's Mountain Annihilator blueprint. They then read one word printed on one corner of the paper, "Arceus." They were surprised by how Red Eye would brainwash a Legendary Pokémon.

"Wait...I seen that in Absol," Rico responded while pointing his finger towards it, "The machine used to brainwash Arceus."

"You're right," Blue Ninja replied in seriousness. His Pikachu then responded in seriousness. Holding the blue print up, Blue Ninja responded, "This is it. This is the weapon we will stop." Rico then nodded in agreement with him.

"Intruders!" both grunts exclaimed in alert, "Get them!" Grabbing the said blue prints, Blue Ninja said to Rico in alert, "Come on, let's get out of here now!" He, Pikachu, and Rico then ran out of room in a fast pace, as the two Pokémon Pinchers pursued them.

In the hallways, like in a maze, while they were running for their lives, Rico said to Blue Ninja, "What's your plan now?"

"We need to get to the entrance now!" Blue Ninja responded in seriousness. The Pokémon Pinchers are chasing them whilst shooting waves of circular beams towards them. But Rico and Blue Ninja dodged them in alert without even looking back. Blue Ninja's Pikachu then used Thunderbolt on one of the two grunts, pinning him down severely.

Later, when they're about to reach the main entrance, the female grunt shot her gauntlet towards Blue Ninja but Rico took the shot instead, electrifying him severely.

"Kid! Why would you do that?" Blue Ninja exclaimed to Rico upon seeing this.

"Just go!" Rico responded as he felt pain, "I'll handle this." In response, Blue Ninja nodded in agreement and fled the base and into the forest outside. Rico, meanwhile, was weakened to the ground. Once he was weakened, the female grunt informed Red Eye and pulled Rico by the legs. This was a sacrifice for Blue Ninja. Rico took it so Blue Ninja would succeed, but what will happen to Rico then?
