Chapter 59 - NOT EDITED YET

Although the Duke kind of ignored the implication behind the Second Prince's words, that should not be enough to offend him, right?

After all, the Duke has to givr justice to his two children. One is the future Duke of Rothland that he would pass his title on and the other is a prospective Empress

Jerome would be angry to death if Ryden and Clyde wasn't punished and Jermaine would surely throw tantrums until 'justice' was given to him

Those two would just give him headaches if he don't do anything. Not to mention, he also don't like the fact that a mere illegitimate Prince has dared to harm not just one but two of his children

That is akin to a slap in his face and honor that he wouldn't not take lying down

Unfortunately, it seems like the Second Prince really planned on meddling. The Duke doesn't know if Kervy was just really helping and siding with Clyde and Ryden or he just thinks that he was speaking casually 

"Your Grace, I understand that you miss your child but my brother is already part of the family, right? Shouldn't you also use this chance to know each other better and bond?" Kervy suggested while still having his usual polite smile

That made it hard to read him. Are those words really what he thinks or he knows what is happening and is trying to help the two from the Duke?

To be at his current position, the Duke naturally is not dumb or stupid. He don't know if Kervy was siding with those two but the Duke still has to be cautious. As such, he can only give up for now

Kervy's words were accurate and the Duke don't have a retort on that. As he cannot afford to look like he was trying to make trouble for them by saying more, he decided to retreat for now

Anyway, Kervy wouldn't possibly always be with Clyde and Ryden right? The Duke still has many chance to get what he wants

The Duke already decided to retreat yet someone suddenly barged in and shouted immediately 

"Father, what is this?! Didn't you said that you would punish those two bastards?!"

The person that came in was none other than Jermaine. As a spoiled brat that reaches down his bones, despite Ryden being a Prince along with Kervy's presence, his anger still won over him and he decided to spout such a thing

The Duke's face instantly turned red from anger. Does Jermaine not knew when he should hold back?

With that kind of attitude, if he is no a legitimate omega from a Ducal Household, he might have been stabbed to death already

"Jermaine, go back to your room!" The Duke shouted in urgency

Ryden already showed that when he lost control, he can hit even people like Jermaine and Jerome

If that madman was provoked yet again, who's to say that he wouldn't attack even the Duke?

Although the Duke is displeased and looks down at Ryden, he is still acknowledging his presence

"Who are you calling bastards?" Ryden's murderous voice rang around

He didn't shout or anything but the threat in his voice seeps into the bones of everyone present

He gave of the feeling of a beast that is in the brink of exploding. It's like any moment from now, the beast would go on a rampage and kill everything in its path

Just like last night, Ryden is not merely acting. He was also genuinely angry by the fact that Jermaine spouted such words

He doesn't like being treated as if him being born an illegitimate is his fault and not his parents

Jermaine's arrogance really knows no bounds and although Ryden already showed what he could do last night, the omega still hasn't learned his lesson

He thought that with the Duke present, Ryden wouldn't be able to do anything to him and that is where he was wrong

"To your room, now!" The Duke shouted again and he even stood up from his seat to take his stubborn child away

However, the Duke was still too slow as Jermaine already spoke again. Although he felt fear from the aura that Ryden radiates, he still has confidence all because his father was present

"It's the two of you! Both of you are bastards and even married each other! What a perfect couple!" Jermaine replies in a mocking tone and everyone can only see a blurry figure

In no time, Ryden reached Jermaine's position. He had an urge to really kill this person

Anyway, with how many people and monsters that Ryden has already killed, one more wouldn't make sucha difference

Unfortunately, going on a rampage and killing a Nobility especially one from a Ducal Household are still two entirely different things

Even though Ryden wants to be Jermaine's murderer, he still knows his limits

As such, he only grab the omega in the arms and twisted it

Instantly, a loud wail rang out the Manor. It was Jermaine's loud and pitiful scream

Whoever hear it, no doubt that they would feel pity for the person that was screaming like that since they can only imagine the horrible pain that person is experiencing 

"Your Highness!" The Duke shouted furiously. Not only did Ryden harm his child, he even did it in front of him

Even the legitimate Imperial Princes including the ones from the Empress never hurt or mock any of his child because of his influence 

However, a mere illegitimate Prince actually does that? How could the Duke take it?

However, maybe it was because the Duke spoke or he was the closest person to Ryden but Ryden threw Jermaine towards the Duke

The inpact made the two fly in the air until the Duke's back hits the wall

"No one could ever insult my wife!" Ryden shouted angrily as a red-colored sword materializes in his hand

His sword seems to have been dyed by the blood of the people that he had killed in the past

It was bloody red in color, befitting for a sword of the Prince that is considered as the God of War of the Empire

Sensing the murderous aura from Ryden, the Duke felt suffocated but as a Duke, he naturally also have his own power

From the floor, vines instantly grew and they block Ryden's sword

"Your Highness, please calm down!" The Duke shouted a bit in a panic

Only now did he realized just fearsome Ryden was

In the Duke's youth, even the Prince's from the current Emperor's time are mostly beaten by him in every sparring session

He was stronger than most of the Princes at his time and that made him really proud. Another reason why his Duchy gained such a power today

However, his vines that can restrict the Princes at his time only required a single swing of Ryden's sword to cut

If Ryden were to continue, wouldn't he really kill him?

Not to mention, Jermaine has lose consciousness already. As an omega that is pampered from youth, he had never suffered from that much pain. He naturally wouldn't be able to handle it

As if Ryden cannot hear anything, he continue slashing his sword like a madman, sending energy sword slashes towards the Duke

The Duke can only push himself as more and more vines appeared that blocks those sword slashes

However, his prowess is still lower compared to Ryden and some cuts appeared in his body

Fresh blood gushed out from him and the Duke's face paled. If Ryden wasn't attacking everything in front of him, the Duke might not even last a single minute

"What is happening here?!" Yet another person arrived at the scene and this time, it was the Duchess

After Ryden heard another voice, his bloodshot eyes turned to look at that person. And with a crazed look in his eyes, he charged towards the Duchess with his sword

The Duke watched in fear as his wife would soon be killed by the madman

Despair crept in his heart yet when Ryden's sword was only inches away from the Duchess, he stops as a certain someone shouted

"Your Highness, please stop" 

The situation was very dire and dangerous yet that voice was melodic and calm

As soon as Ryden heard that voice, he immediately stops his rampage but even then, it seems like he was not able to stop his body completely as the tip of his sword stabbed at the Duchess's chest

Fortunately, the stab was not that deep and it was not in the heart area

But even then, as the Duchess is the same as Jermaine that never encountered much pain in life, that little bit of stab was already extremely painful for him

His legs wobbled and his buttocks fell down, hitting the floor. His eyes stared at Ryden in fear. He literally felt death just a moment ago if Ryden did not stop on time!

He was really inches away from death!
