However, although Clyde was completely tempted at supporting Kervy that would indeed be the fastest way to keep himself and Ryden out of harm, he would not easily accept the help

After all, the other party is still a child of their biggest enemy. Not to mention, Clyde also do not want to lose out

A person like Ryden is very rare. Not every generation would have a God of War as powerful as him

In every generation, there would be the strongest invidual but that does not mean that they are as strong as Ryden

Clyde knows full well of the importance of Ryden to the people that could effectively use his support

As such, he wouldn't easily give such a big pie for someone for free even though later, they would also receive some pretty benefits

"We will think about your offer but first, you must show your sincerity. But if your sincerity is not enough and the negotiations fall, we might be forced to assassinate you. With my husband's prowess, I believe you are aware of what he can do" Clyde said so that in the end, he would be the winner

If Kervy showed sincerity that is not up to Clyde's standards, they can still backout. And backing out means that Kervy knows their secret yet they are on the same side

As such, Clyde also give out a terriblt threat so that Kervy would not show a half-hearted sincerity 

"Brother in law really knows how to take advantage of the situation" Kervy said with a wry smile but he still nodded his head

"I promised that my sincerity would be enough for the both of you to accept my offer" Kervy said befofe excusing himself

If he were to stay even a single longer, he might received another threat that might just come true

After seeing that Kervy is not in sight anymore, Ryden looks at the other man with him

"Are we really letting him go easily?" Ryden asks and Clyde nodded his head

"At the end of the day, he is still the one at disadvantage. Even if he were to spread the word that you are just acting like a madman so what? The Empress might believe him but everyone will do the same. Besides, if the people doubt you, it's easy to make a scene that would make our lie believable. He was smiling in the outside but he knows that he don't have an advantage" Clyde explained and these complicated politics is just making Ryden's head to hurt

He would very much continue having fun with his wife. Sigh, if only that annoying brother of his did not meddle

"Anyway, it's quite late now. Let's go back in our room and sleep" Clyde casually said, not giving the Prince a chance to eat tofu again

The next day, the effects of the events that transpired last night arrives as Clyde received a letter from his father that basically abandoned and cut contact with him after getting married

The Duke didn't even visit his child, he just asked Clyde to come to the Rothland Manor to have a 'conversation'

"What a shitty father, he only send this letter today but he wants me to hurry and move right this instance to visit him. Sigh… life really is shitty sometimes" Clyde said as soon as he finished reading the disgusting letter than he is now waving with his hand

"You don't have to go. Just say I did not give you permission" Ryden simply said before trying his luck

He went behind his sitting wife and starts kissing the man in the neck to put him in the mood

"Argh, move your dirty lips away from me!" Clyde grumbled before hitting the other man in the head

"I need to go not because I care about him but to see what he is up to this time and judge what should I do with that father of mine" Clyde said annoyedly

Ryden is like a dog that wants to eat the bone again, always trying his luck to see if he can have Clyde join him in the bed

"Tsk" Ryden clicked his tongue in annoyance. The dish is already in front of him yet he cannot eat it again. Who would like that

"Argh, fine! Fine! We'll do it later tonight again. Gosh, you look like a starved beast!" Clyde gave up as he feared that this stupid Ryden might pester him again

"Yahoooo!" Ryden exclaimed happily and Clyde can only shake his head while chuckling

The two had a world of their own, preparing to head to Clyde's former home or more like house in this world but they were interrupted as a maid knocked into their bedroom door

As no maid would come to them for small matters, Clyde went to the door and open it to know what the maid wants

In return, he learned that Kervy is back again and are waiting for them

Clyde sent the maid away before closing the door again as he releases a groan

"It's Kervy… again" he said. That Prince has really been visiting him and Clyde nonstop

He was like a sticky gum to the point that although Clyde was originally infatuated by the Prince's appearance, as of right now, he was merely annoyed

"I really should have snap his neck last night" Ryden grumbled

With how frequent that bastard is coming, one day, he might interrupt an 'important moment' for Ryden and he cannot allow that!

When the saw Kervy again, the Prince smiled at them like usual

"Brother, brother in law, I am here to give the icing of my sincerity first" Kervy said after seeing how unwelcomed he is to the masters of the Manor

"We are busy today, we have somewhere we need to be" Ryden replied unfriendly and Clyde nodded his head at that

"Brother, it was actually related to that. You two are going to visit Duke Rothland, right?"

Clyde narrows his eyes after hearing that and he stared at the Prince suspiciously. How does this man know of that?

"Hehe, brother-in-law, I am preparing to be the next Emperor. I at least should have some capabilities, right? If not, wouldn't you lose faith on me and think that I am incompetent?" Kervy said with a smile to ease Clyde's doubt and it works 

Anyway, to people that wants the Throne, they naturally has to have the ability to do that

Since Kervy does not look like an incompetent Prince, him having an information network is not weird at all

"So? How do you plan on showing you sincerity today?" Clyde asks curiously snd Kervy immediately gave an answer

"The Duke is surely going to trouble the both of you for hitting his two legitimate children. Wouldn't it be better to be accompanied by another Prince so that the Duke couldn't blatantly do something? He might be afraid of brother but he might make excuses to mert brother in law alone. I would accompany you to make sure that today would be a smooth sailing day" Kervy explained

In the letter, the Duke only invited Clyde. Naturally, the Duke is also afraid of Ryden's outburst

As such, Clyde would just say that Ryden insisted but the problem was that, the Duke might separate them later

Clyde only planned on showing a stronger attitude but not one that would have a falling out with the Duke nor does he want the Duke to think that he was too smart that the man would be suspicious of him

If the Duke made sufficient excuse to separate him and Ryden, it's hard to prevent that without Clyde showing his intelligence 

And we couldn't even rely on Ryden for that as he is not a man that can easily make exchsest

But if Kervy was there, in fear that he would offend the Empress, the Duke can't make things too hard for them

As such, Clyde has no reason to refuse. Anyway, he already was tempted in joining sides with Kervy but he want to see the man's sincerity and receiving benefits first

"Alright, I'll let you come with us" Clyde agreed causing Ryden to groan

He really don't want to be with his brother that cut his moment with his wife last night short

"Take your own carriage with you, I don't want to share one again" Ryden can only say that as he planned on at least 'licking' the tofu while in the carriage

If there is the presence of another person in there, how could he possibly do that?

"Does brother hate me that much? That hurts my feelings" Kervy said with a sigh while holding his chest with his hand

He looks like a bullied Prince Charming though he was judt exaggerating and acting

"Stop wasting any more time. I want this day to end as fast as possible" Clydd grumbled and all three of them went on their carriage to go meet the Duke
