"Brother, there is no need to be physical with me. I don't have any bad intentions" Kervy said as he jumped away so that the terribly force behind Ryden's fist would not be transferred into his body

Even then, as Clyde said that he must seize the Prince, Ryden still continued. He showed just why he was considered as a wargod and why many people are afraid of his power

His killing intent rose and it almost has a physical manifestation. Even Kervy felt like he would be suffocated by this terrible killing intent that can make many people lose the will to resist just by experiencing it

The sensation was really terrible as if a God of death locked its death scythe on you

Kervy's breating turned a bit heavy and in a flash, his eyes constricted as Ryden already appeared in front of hin

The man raises his fist yet again to punch him and in haste, Kervy lifted his hand, his palm releasing a strong gust of wind

As Kervy knew how powerful this brother of his, he did not bother trying to defend himself

He did not use the gusts of wind to block the punch of Ryden but instead uses it to push his body away from him

"My men knew where I went. If I went missing tonight, wouldn't they know the last place I went to right, brother in law?" Kervy said after pulling some distance

He already knows that between Ryden and Clyde, the former has the brawns while the latter has a brain

When it comes to decision making, it would be always up to Clyde and as expected, when Clyde told Ryden to stop, the Prince did stop

"If I want to, I can have my husband kill you right this instance" Clyde said coldly. It sounded more like a threat so that Kervy wouldn't try anything funny but he also knows that those words were true

Ryden only wants to seize him earlier. If not, then his attack would be fatal and even Kervy would not be able to keep himself safe

"You might have came here but there are still many ways to dispose of you. Your disappearance and death tonight could affect us but that is only if you disappeared while still inside the Manor. If we want, we can let you go and kill you while on your way back to the Palace" Clyde said, this was his real threat

Kervy made a brilliant move by telling his people where he is so that when something bad happens to him, Ryden and Clyde would also be implicated

As such, those two cannot deal with him while he was still in the Manor. Unfortunately, Clyde was also right. There are still some ways where in they can kill Kervy tonight before he can even spread the thing that he had learned tonight

'I was right, my brother's wife is really the brain and a formidable one at that' Kervy thought in his head

Most people would be pushed into a backwall all because of Kervy's words but Clyde easily notices the loophole in it

"I will be honest since this concerns my life. I don't want my older brother to inherit the Throne and I must become the Emperor. For my goal, I would like to gain the support of 6th brother and brother in law" Kervy said honestly and Clyde narrowed his eyes

"So your goal is power?" Clyde muttered, his impression of Kervy instantly hits rock bottom at this point but the Second Princr shook his head

"My first brother has been spoiled by my mother too much and if he were to become an Emperor, he wouldn't be able to govern the Empire properly and he might even bring it to ruins"

"On the other hand, if my brothers from the Queens became the Emperor, I guess, you two already know what would happen to me"

"I don't want the Empire to crumble nor do I want to live while being suppressed by my brothers or even had them kill me. As such, I have to become the Emperor"Kervy said honestly 

He is concerned for the Empire's wellbeing, showing his patriotism. However, he also shows that he was not completely blind and free from the desire to live a good life

If his other brothers from the Queens became the next Emperor, he might even die in their hands

As such, Kervy has to become the Emperor. With his words, he showed that although he has greed, he was not completely greedy as Clyde thought earlier

"Our support? An illegitimate Prince and an illegitimate wife. Wouldn't that just make you a laughingstock?" Clyde asks coldly

"I will be laughed and frown at but… brother in law, I believe that you know how important a person like 6th brother, right?"

"If he showed allegiance to me then wouldn't I also become untouchable? After all, I have a really powerful guard and sword in my hands. Even my older brother does not have that" Kervy replied, dispelled Clyde's doubts but the latter still would not agree easily

"You are the Empress's child, I am sure that you are aware that the Empress and the Duchesd if Rothland wants both of us dead. How can we even trust you? Would the Empress even want us to give out allegiance to you?"

Those issues are not something that Kervy does not know and he naturally have his answers to it

"My mother is also very traditional. He wants the first born alpha to become the next Emperor. He would surely stop me if I were to show a desire for the Throne"

"However, if my brother that he poured all attention and care for cannot become the Emperor, wouldn't he then choose me? At that time, I believe that he would be more than happy that the sword of the Empire is loyal to me" He explained

The Empress poured all of his effort into the 1st Prince. Grooming and making people think that he was the only one eligible for the throne

However, the 1st Prince's eligibility is already being questioned. If he lose the qualification for the Throne, the Empress would only have Kervy

Unfortunately, the Empress poured all manpower to the 1st Prince and making sure tha no one else could eclipse him including Kervy himself

Wouldn't the Empress start from scratch so that the people could stop accepting Kervy as the second prince?

At that time, the Queens and their children would also meddle. If Kervy showed up with a loyal and sharp sword in his side, that would make things easier for him and the Empress

"That still does not guarantee our safety. You and the Empress can use us until you sat in the Throne but then, you would feel threatened of our existence and would try to deal with us" Clyde said coldly

In a short time, he already simulate a few possibile things that can happen if he were to accept Kervy's offer

With that, Kervy smiled and he starts stripping his clothes

If it was before, Clyde might have turn red from shyness but this time, he only frowned. Clyde and Ryden watched as Kervy strips and showed his upper body that surprises them

There was actually a large cut mark in his torso!

"My first brother does not like how people praise my appearance more than his and he attacked me once with a sword, resulting in this. Although he don't hate me to the bones, he is still always displeased when seeing me as if I was trying to be above him"

"This wound, my mother knows it but he forced me to say that I was being careless and that it was an accident as to not damage my brother's reputation"

"I might not have lived a life as hard as illegitimate people but my life was not always strawberries and sugar"

"To have parents that favored another child and let you be harmed, I believe that brother and brother in law are well aware of how horrible it felt"

"I will use my mother just as he will use me but that doesn't mean that I would let him do everything that he wants"

"I don't want to become an Emperor because I am greedy for power. I have to be the Emperor to secure the Empire and my well being"

"As long as it wasn't a Noble that is trying to take power, I wouldn't care. I surely wouldn't be threatened of 6th brother's existence as I already judged that neither the two of you have plans over the Throne" Kervy said, he looks and sounds sincere and his words were also true

Clyde wanted to have power to the point that no one can control him again but he also don't have plans on becoming the Empress

If he were to join hands with Kervy, the power that he desires to have might be given to him faster than he originally thought
