Chapter 50 - NOT EDITED YET

Name:Our Throne Author:KenceRussel
With how melancholic the Second Prince becomes, even the displeased Ryden can't help but feel a bit guilty

It really looks like Kervy only wants to be close with one of his brothers but Ryden was shutting him down like that

"E-ehem, a-anyway, so, what is your plan?" Ryden asks, trying to hide his guilt away as a son fron an enemy is not someone he could easily feel guilt with

After all, although the sins of the parents are not the sins of the child, it's still hard to feel some good will to the child of one's enemy

"Brother, I coincidentally received three invitation cards of Sir Rosen's wine party. Oh, if you don't know who Sir Rosen is, he was the most famous sommelier in the Capital. Since brother is starting a business that involves wine, I thought that it would do the business good if you received a praise from Sir Rosen" Kervy explained while showing the three black colored tickets that he has

As Clyde decided to venture in the wine industry, he was naturally aware about who Sir Rosen is

It was not an exaggerated to say that one word from him can either make a wine popular or be treated as shit

Fortunately, Rosen's reputation and record was clean. Even to the people that he does not like, as long as it involves wine, he would still give an honest review of it

Clyde already had the thought of gambling and letting Sir Rosen taste his wine but the problem was that he was lacking in connections

He cannot just easily meet such a famous man much less have him taste his wine

After all, although Ryden is an Imperial Prince, his position is kinda awkward

The Nobles cannot completely disregard him as he is still a Royal but as long as they give him the basic respect and don't look down at him in public, they can then ignore him

With how famous Rosen was, he naturally wouldn't taste just any wine that a random person gives to him

As such, although Clyde do not want to have much interaction with Kervy and he wants to drive this potential source of danger he was still heavily tempted

If his wine were to be praised by Sir Rosen then his business is already considered as half successful

"Brother, Consort Clyde, what do you think? Do you want to go with me?" Kervy asks in a hopeful tone and Clyde and Ryden glanced at each other

In the end, Clyde nodded his head. This opportunity is rare and hard to come by to ignore it!

With Clyde's affirmation, Ryden naturally would also agree and that decision made the Second Prince really happy

The three talked for some time though it was mostly Kervy that was saying something before the latter excused himself to return in the Palace

——-

A few days later, the day that the Wine Party of Count Rosen will be held finally arrives

In these few days, Clyde did not let Ryden eat 'tofu'. After all, he has to be at his peak for the party

If Ryden makes his hips hurt again then how could Clyde attend the party with ease?

That made Ryden sorrowful and he kinda regretted accepting the invitation. He thought that after his 'talk' with Clyde, he can finally eat tofu everyday but he was proven wrong

"Stop sulking, there are things more important than sex" Clyde said coldly to the pouty Ryden

They are currently preparing themselves for the party yet even until now, Ryden was still sulky as if he was a kid that was not given a candy

"Tsk" Ryden can only made an annoyed sound before he fastened his pace and soon, he was finally fully dressed

When both of them are finally dressed for the occasion, only then did they went out of their bedroom where they were informed that the Second Prince arrives in the Manor and was waiting for them

"Tsk, he even wants us to go to the party together?" Ryden said while pursing his lips

"Give him some slack. He at least gave us the invitations" Clyde said with a shrug

Over the interactions that they had, Clyde did not sense anything that would indicate that the second Prince was not they think he was

He lowered his guard a bit as he thinks that Kervy was just a really kind person inside despite having such a mother. But of course, Clyde still has not completely put down his guard as there is always the risk of being betrayed

"Nye nye nye" Ryden replied, acting childish again

Without a choice, they can only head to where the Second Prince was and they saw him in a large carriage

"Second Brother, Consort Clyde!" Kervy greeted as he waved his hand at the two that can only nod his head

"We can share a carriage. How does that sound?" Kervy said and with how enthusiastic he was, the two do not have any room to refuse and in the end, they boarded the carriage

"Brother, with how tasty your wine was, I am sure that it would be the star of the party tonight" Kervy said, sounding really genuine with his praise

Although Ryden was not the one that made the wine, he still felt proud by the praise and his nose almost reaches the skies

"It was not me that made it, it's my wife" Ryden said honestly and Clyde smiled

"Oh, I see. Consort Clyde is really talented. May I know how you made the wine that tasty?" Kervy asks curiosly

Over the course of the days, Kervy always visited his brother and naturally, Clyde has more interactions with him

As such, Clyde is now already used to Kervy's face and he was not as infatuated as before anymore. That's good for him as he can finally treat Kervy in the way that he should treat him which was polite but still on guard

"My hobby was to read books and I got the recipe from an old book" Clyde simply replied politely

Anyway, he was not completely lying. While still living in the Duke's Manor, Clyde can only read books in the library to pass time since he was not as blessed like his other siblings

But the book of course was a lie since Clyde got the recipe from earth

Kervy gave Clyde another praised and they chatted inside the carriage for a while before they arrived at Count Rosen's Estate

There were already some people entering it and with Kervy's status, he was given priority for entry

Maybe because the Count is famous and many people try to curry his favor for various reasons but his Manor is even more extravagant than the Manor that Ryden has as a Prince

An illegitimate is really not at the level the legitimate Princes

The arrival of the three causes quite a stir

The first one is the famous second Prince. His status and appearance was more than enough for him to stand out from the crows with many people wanting to talk and leave a good impression to him especially for the omegas

The other two on the other hand although was not that familiar with them are still equally good looking

They have the face that people would kill to have and no one would be ashamed if they have their faces

Since these two were people that the Second Prince brought with him, naturally, their status might also be high

"Your Highness, what a surprise"

"Your Highness is still as dashing as ever"

"May I know who are with Your Highness?"

The Nobles like vultures trying to catch their prey went forward and conversed with the Second Prince

As the legitimate child from the Empress and the Emperor, he has second priority for the Throne

Since the news of the 1st Prince's incompetence was already starting to spread, if he did not become the Crowned Prince then it might be the Second Prince

The Second Prince might have not show that much potential in politics but the current Emperor is very old fashioned

Even if the third, fourth, and so on Prince was talented as long as they are not extraordinary talented, he might still not crown them as the Crowned Prince if the 1st Prince is hundred percent incompetent

As such, more and more Nobles wants to get close with Kervy. They originally was on the 1st Prince's side but since there is now quite a high chance that he would not become an Emperor then these shrewd Nobles have to choose another target to favor

"Everyone, this is my 6th Brother and his wife. Please also be kind to them" Kervy briefly introduces the two with him and the Nobles can't help but take some steps back

The 6th Prince is now an infamous individual that can explode any moment. As such, it was natural that these Nobles would be afraid in case Ryden had another episode and kill them in the process
