27 The Loser

She was going to ask her more when Mr. Gong cleared his throat as he seriously said, "I've finished marking the test results."

Immediately, everyone in the class groaned. Tang Min frowned while on his side, Mo Xuanji secretly clenched her fists tightly. Li Yuri also tensed up.

Qi Feng noticed the tense atmosphere and raised her delicate brows. 'Test results?'

A curve wrecker like her couldn't understand why all of them were so worried for a small test. But then again, it wasn't like she had experienced it before.

Mr. Gong took the stack of test papers and solemnly said, "Okay, now the Subject Representative, step up and distribute the papers."

The representative for Math in their class was Su Lan. She walked towards the desk and nervously took the papers from him.

She then distributed them among the students. While passing by Li Yuri, she shook her head with a dejected face.

'I didn't fail but I've got worse marks..'

Li Yuri also had a mourning face. 'I failed, didn't I?'

Su Lan searched for Li Yuri's name and was shocked by the number displayed on her test paper as she dazedly looked at her.

Li Yuri saw this as she shook her head and stared weeping in her heart.

'Oh no, I'm surely dead this time. My score is so atrocious that even Sis Lan seems shocked!'

At that time, Mr. Gong said with disappointment written in his face, "Only two students did good this time! Others are similar to worst!"

Hearing his words, Mo Xuanji subconsciously trembled. 'Only two students did better, then I...'

He then said with a half smile, "But there was a student who progressed a lot than before. Student Mo,you're one of the few who passed and improved!"

Everyone turned to look at Mo Xuanji with surprise and happiness in their face. Mo Xuanji was stunned and her whole body stiffened.

Su Lan passed her the test paper with a wide smile and said, "You did it, Xuanxuan!"

'I passed??!' A bright smile crept up to Mo Xuanji's gentle face as she looked down at her marks, making it look more vibrant and warm. She was overjoyed.

Mr. Gong smiled at her and encouraged her, "Student Mo, you've made a great improvement than last year! Keep it up. Have you thought of taking tuition or extra classes?"

Mo Xuanji stood up while holding her test paper in her hand as she replied cheerfully, "I have a private tutor at home! As for extra classes, I don't plan on taking them."

Mr. Gong nodded his head as he said. "Then onto the student who stood first with nearly perfect score.. Student Lu!"

Li Yuri knew it was Lu Jeongshan and smiled as she raised her hand, "Bro Shan is absent today as well, Sir!"

She then put her hand down as she face palmed. 'Bro Shan is so talented, I'm so happy for him! But will he feel bad if I didn't score good?'

But he soon cheered up as he exclaimed, "We also have another student who scored near perfect marks! Student Li!"

Li Yuri was busy in her dreamland, thinking about Bro Shan when everyone suddenly turned their heads towards her.

She blinked and was puzzled as she looked at everyone. 'Why is everyone looking at me?'

Qi Feng noticed her confusion and said softly, "The teacher is calling you."

Li Yuri heard her and instantly felt her world crumble when she heard that.

She dramatically clutched her chest with her hand and thought with a hurt expression.

'Oh no, how bad did I exactly do?! Mr. Gong is even directly calling me now! I'm so doomed..'

She slowly extended her hand to take her paper from Su Lan, who was looking at her with her mouth twitching.

Li Yuri held the paper tightly and sobbed as she slowly looked down at her paper.. She then blinked twice. "What?!"

Everyone stared at her with a weird gaze. Some even cracked jokes, "Yuri, are you going to act out a whole drama now?"

Immediately the whole class burst into laughter. Li Yuri was so dumbfounded that she didn't even respond to their mockery.

'How can this be?!' She gazed at the paper in her hand with a 'o' formed in her mouth.

'I.. I think I got the wrong paper.. But this is clearly my paper..'

The paper showed that she got almost full marks, which were deducted because of two or three wrong answers.

She suddenly recalled that Bro Shan had helped her out in the test. A dazzling smile instantly blossomed in her face.

Hence for the rest of the class, she didn't even focus on what others were saying as she kept smiling.

Qi Feng turned to look at her foolish desk mate and shook her head.

'Is she so shocked with her own marks that she became foolish?'

Lunchtime.

Li Yuri pulled Qi Feng along to sit with the rest of her friends. "Sis Feng, come sit with us!"

Qi Feng looked at her arm which was being pulled and didn't say anything as she silently sat beside her and began eating.

Li Yuri excitedly introduced her to the rest. "This is Qi Feng, my class' transfer student!"

Tang Min was speechless as he shrugged, "... We're all from the same class, though."

"Oh right" Li Yuri scratched her head as she said, "So this is Sis Feng!"

She then started introducing others to her, "Sis Feng, he is Tang Min, the loser of our group.."

Tang Min: "You.."

Li Yuri ignored him and continued, "She's Su Lan, the talented artist.. And she's Mo Xuanji, the beautiful goddess!"

Su Lan and Mo Xuanji greeted Qi Feng as they ate their meals. Li Yuri gobbled her food as she said, "Last but not least! Bro Shan, the immortal god! But sadly he's absent today."

She then said to Qi Feng while chewing her food and grinning evilly, "You're the beauty of our group from now on!"

Qi Feng: "..."

Why did she look at her like that? Is she a pervert?

She slightly hesitated before asking curiously, "Who is this 'Bro Shan'?"

Li Yuri replied to her with sparkling eyes, "Who else? It's the person who scored almost perfect score alongside me, Lu Jeong Shan!"

Qi Feng suddenly started coughing as she choked on her food when she heard that name. 'Lu Jeong Shan?! Could he be..'

Everyone turned silent when they saw her extreme reaction. Li Yuri blankly looked at her and patted her back, "What happened?"

Qi Feng swallowed her food with difficulty as she said frowning, "Is it that heir from the Lu Corporation?!"

Li Yuri nodded her head. "Why are you asking?" Qi Feng fell silent. 'Oh no, it's really him.. Then..'

She took a deep breath before saying softly, "It's nothing."

Li Yuri then patted her own chest. "You almost scared me to death just now!"

Then, everyone else in the table continued chattering while eating. Only Qi Feng remained in a daze.
