Chapter 176 - The Isolated Island (20)

"The first take of the second scene, drifting in the sea, action!" The field recorder shouted across the beach. A rope was attached to the back hull of the ship and was tied around the edge of the pier extended outwards. The director watched the boat cross the tides and stood by the connected monitor, watching the image from the beach.

The camera swept over, and the two people began to perform the various modalities required in the script in order.

The shadows of the sunset reflected on his cheeks, and the warm orange tones made Chu Yi's cold complexion warm. He stared out into the distance biting his lips unconsciously, a trace of wetness staining his lips unconsciously.

With the faint jerk of the boat, he could vaguely feel the rope that held the boat go taut as it hit the limit but he didn't break the act.

Ruan Quixi's throat moved and he called out again, much sifter this time, "Baby?"

"Huh?" Chu Yi raised his eyes and looked at him, his eyes that were still unfocused were slightly confused and a little careless.

He turned away without responding and seemed to look out at vast waves around him, "Zhou Qin, will we ever find our way back?"

As if he hadn't recovered yet, he instinctively narrowed his eyes and blinked away the misty water, a single drop of salty tear dripped from the corners of his eyes and was slowly licked away as it fell to his lips, looking up at him with starry eyes as if he was just a fragile youth.

The cold and precious young man making this kind of action innocently is extremely sultry. He remembered the gorgeousness of Chu Yi's lips smeared with blood the kast last time, like a vibrant rose stained with honeydew in the morning, a rose blooming with red petals, attracting people to pick and hold in it ones hand.

The waves softly crashed onto the wooden boat and from its deceptive appearance, no one would be able to guess its horrible temperature. A low wind softly brushed his hair, the boat had come to a stop and only the red light of the camera accompanied them in the vast sea.

The sun was heavy on the man's shoulders, and his figure was half plunged into the shadows. The sunset only illuminated his pale neck and half his jaw and the slender white knotted hands slowly tightened on the boat's hull as if in great pain.

The air was opposite with the silence of restraint, pain, and love.

Ruan Quixi gave a faint "um", and slowly reached out a hand,

"Come," he said.

Chu Yi tightened his lips,

In the script, although Chu Yi is in a relationship with Ruan Quixi's character, he is in a defensive position, and Ruan Quixi is inactive offensive pursuit. Here, Ruan Quixi was supposed to hold his hands and reassured him, but he had already arrogantly changed the script.

He looked at his partner's eyes, blurred and hesitant. It seems that he wants to get close, but it also seems as if doesn't dare to get close.

Li Yongmin is pitiful, vulnerable, and helpless.

In the next second, crystal tears slowly fell from the charming red eyes, like a crack in a heavy dam, the tears spilled from his cheek silently.

Chu Yi cried without a change of face, he did not make a fuss but such silence hurt deeper; he cried while hugging his knees on the narrowboat, cold calloused hands came over and hugged his shoulders tightly.

"Don't be scared, Xiao Li don't be scared, calm down first. Even if we die at sea, I'll still be here, we'll go together."

Li Yongmin choked softly, took another breath, his voice trembling and hoarse: "Yes, I'm not scared..."

"Yes, my Xiao Li is the bravest! " Ruan held his shoulder tightly and buried his face in Chu Yi's shoulders, not out of distress but to prevent himself from laughing.

The person in front of him was crying so hard that he could see his cheeks flush red, he patted his shoulders, faintly grasped the back of the snow-white neck beside him, and rubbed his lips against the cold skin, resisting the urge to take a bite.

However, Li Yongmin suddenly stretched out his slender willow-like arms and wrapped them around Ruan's neck, as if to climb up weakly and bonelessly, rubbing against his chin like a soft milk cat.

A fragrant flowery aroma poured into his nose, his eyes darkened, but still remembered his role.

"Baby..."

He seemed to hesitate for a while, but finally raised his hand and patted Li Yongmin on the back.

And from an angle that no one can see.

Li Yongmin lifted her eyelashes slightly from Zhou Qi's shoulder and looked at the camera.

There were still tears on his cheeks, but his eyes were dark, with a charming face and extremely bright lips.

His back was still trembling, but there seemed to be a faint smile on his lips, evil, filled with malicious intent that seemed to disappear like an illusion if looked at closely.

Few people know that dodder is a parasitic flower, seemingly soft and weak, but it is the most dangerous plant.

Their rhizomes look to be soft and tender, but they can grow wildly, entangle the chosen host firmly, use the suckers on the rhizomes to absorb nutrients from the host's blood, and finally strangle them completely.

And this scene, only the director, who has been watching the monitor, saw it.

A double-faced image.

He is a born actor.

"Cut! This scene is good. Pull them in!"

At the beginning of the video, the director still carried the steadfast face of a director.

But from the moment Chu Yi turned back and smiled in the setting sun, his eyelids twitched as if he had been stabbed by something sharp, making him dizzy, and in a trance, he seemed to see the original protagonists in his eyes. His eyes were dazed and for a moment, he truly regretted coming to his island, but in the end, some choices cannot be changed after they've been made.

The assistant director's cry of horror snapped him out of reverie and when he looked over, the director only felt his heart stop.

At this moment, the weakness in his eyes that belonged to Li Yongmin was gone. It was dark and rich, like sultry red wine; his voice was low, only Ruan Quixi could hear it clearly, with a bit of lazy mocking.

"I never know you had a talent for playwrighting as well. You seemed to be having a lot of fun just now."

Ruan Quixi smirked faintly, " Baby, "

His voice was particularly soothing, "As long as your willing, I can show you a lot of other things that I have a talent for."

Chu Yi sneered, "My head still hasn't been filled with water as of yet."

His smile is so gorgeous, but his eyes are so evil. He is so beautiful that it is terrifying, yet so maddening

Chu Yi could vaguely hear the director's shout and the faint sound of panic in the background but his eyes never broke away from the silent confrontation.

His words had just ended when the makeshift boat under them jerked, went taut, and suddenly drifted from its original spot, and began to sail deeper into the sea.

The makeshift boat is very narrow, a bit like an awning boat, swaying on the water, not very stable. When Chu Yi had stepped in he could intuitively feel every movement of the boat, therefore when it suddenly shifted, he was made aware almost instantly.

The Director could only turn to see the rope tied to the pier become dangerously tight, the force of gravity fell, and the boat was attached to the end, the force of something pulling against it—

"Rope, the rope is going to break!"

Seeing that the Director didn't react, they didn't have time to wait, Zhao Yuan along with a few other crew members took the initiative to hold onto the rope in a deadly game of tug of war, his muscles bulged and his eyes were bloodshot from strain therefore when the force was abruptly released, he was the first to be sent flying.

The hot sand scraped his knees but Zhao Yuan didn't have his time to care about that, he held onto the rope and was stunned to see that the rope that had been taut holding onto the edge of the boat suddenly collapsed like a dead snake.

With disbelief, Zhao Yuan pulled the rope back. The rope that was pulled back was short, and the ripples on the water surface seemed to be dragging a big fish. Zhao Yuan's arms tensed, and he pulled violently, the rope flopped onto the beach like a dead fish and with shaking hands, he held it up to his face

Looking at the broken head of the rope and was bitten horribly, horror bled into his eyes.

The makeshift boat began to drift going faster and faster as if they had been pulled into the edge of a deep whirlpool, the waves on the sea rapidly began to grow insides and the boat itself began to rock precariously as it undulated between the waves.

It seemed that something was pushing the bottom of the boat, and the sound of rustling like silkworm ants eating broken leaves sounded in the sea at the same time.. Chu Yi looked down at the sides of the boat, faint white foam churned from underneath. There was something in the sea!
