Chapter 175 - The Isolated Island (19)

The director clapped his hands, evidently greatly satisfied that his two lead actors agreed. The sun was nearing midday and judging from the way he kept wiping the sweat from his forehead, the director was feeling the heat but still, he insisted on filming

The Livestream was still on and the barrage saw the entire process of change. At first, there were still people who wanted to resist but the topic quickly turned to the previous events. Many of them still held a wait-and-see attitude even until the end when the camera was turned off and they were once again thrown into the little black room.

The director glanced nervously at the ancestral Hall and walked as if running away. Chu Yi followed along with Ruan Quixi, even if for nothing more that he was tall enough to block the sun.

A few Villagers passed by, there eyes were a bit glassy and their stomachs shifted as they walked, although they talked and laughed as normal, they were more like living ghosts than anything else.

He looked at the director back thoughtfully, when they got back to the pier, which seemed to be the best filming spot for the director, the assistant was coordinating the position of the cameras. When he saw the director leading over the actors, he hurried over and pointed to a few long and thick strips of wood lying on the sand.

"I asked the villagers, they said that this wood was very strong and suitable for making a makeshift boat for the scene."

The director nodded, "Did you get any of them to volunteer to help build it or loan us one?"

The assistant shook his head, "It's not that I didn't try but whenever I asked the villagers would just clam up and refuse to speak anymore. It seems we can only rely on ourselves."

In the past, fishing boats were very particular about going out to sea. They had to watch the tides rise and fall, and they also had to take care of the goods at sea. But now, not to mention, fishing boats or nets, when the dock at the pier was dilapidated and old, only barely maintained each month for the arrival of the Narézon.

Chu Yi looked back at the village in the distance, the chimneys were still smoking and the scent of fried peanuts still drifted faintly in the wind, the stone houses like rows of teeth stood against the sun but they only became more and more strange.

The makeup director came over and pulled him to the small tent set up, before directly fitting him.

Considering that this was a shipwreck, his clothes were more loose and tattered, showing the deep collarbone.

Chu Yi has long hair in the script, so extensions were added.

Curly black hair was gathered around the waist, and the contours of the face became softer in the hands of the makeup artist, almost inexorable. Faint red and purple bruises were added to his arms and cheeks.

Finally, the makeup artist added a little pink lip gloss to Chu Yi's pale lips, which shimmered in the light.

At sunset, the wooden boat was done and the crew made two oars, just in time for the rising tide. With the sound of the director's shout, Chu Yi and Ruan Quixi worked together to push the wooden boat into the sea, let go, and the wooden boat floated steadily on the sea.

Ruan Quixi crossed his long legs and sat in the boat, Chu Yi also stepped in. The wooden boat has a limited load-bearing capacity, so the crew could only attach a small camera to the hull and watch them go.

The narrow hull could only barely accommodate two people. Chu Yi and Ruan Quixi faced each other, almost knee-to-knee, a close to a dangerous distance.

The director's roar came from across the sea, "Start."

Chu Yi's smile became more charming than usual, and his eyes were a little blurred, melancholy, and fragile. He seemed to be still worried about what to do, although happy about having found his loved one, and because he was unsure of himself, uneasy about the future.

The sea had suddenly become foggy for some reason, and the boat kept spinning around the sea, the wreck of the ship was far away and there was no end in sight.

Ruan Quixi looked down at him from above, the warm sunset shrouded his tall figure in a dim orange glow, suddenly smiled. His long hair is thick and straight, and his pupils were very deep. When he looks down at people, he has a gorgeous and oppressive feeling, his thin lips opened slightly and in his ears, Chu Yi heard the low, scratchy voice speak softly,

"Baby."

"Don't be scared."

Some people work in full swing, not knowing that time flies, some people spend time like a year, worrying about it. The players on the island were filled with thoughts of death and despair, trying desperately to survive.

In the north of the island, there were many cliffs, big tsunami-like waves crashed against the sharp rocks, and turbulent waves hit the shore.

The woman covered in blood, hid behind a rock shiveringly, grabbing the edge and looking out carefully.

Her teammate, that greasy man, died yesterday. She didn't have any affection for him, she had only stayed with him because he was relatively strong, but having witnessed his death, it was the first time she had seen him fall to knees, groveling with a mouthful of soil trying to beg for mercy. The blood that sprayed that day still seemed to be filled with a fishy scent.

Now that' he's dead, she has no reliance on anything, so she can only hide from everyone until now, hoping that she would not be discovered by that terrible girl.

Da, Da––

The sound of high heels stepping onto the high rocks, and the sound of footsteps from far and near, crashed into the heart of the woman like a suffocating grip, causing the fear in her eyes to burst out!

"Where did you hide?" the immature lolita muttered to herself, before calling out sweetly,

"Come out quickly, stop playing hide and seek."

The little girl is wearing a Gothic Lolita dress, holding a black umbrella to block the sun, the delicately crafted satin was gorgeous and complicated, and was made for decoration than practical use; it was heavy, but she walked on the rocky cliffs as if what she was holding was a light feather, unhurried and walking freely.

The girl slammed her mouth tightly and dared not make any noise. The salty water splashed against her face and stung her eyes but she didn't dare to even blink

"I have seen you. I will count to three. If you don't come out quickly, I will be angry." The girl tilted her head coyly and shouted on the empty beach.

The woman held her breath, tears from her eyes were blown away by the wind, and the scratches torn by the scraggly weeds were painful and sore.

She-she didn't believe that girl could find her!

She just wants to trick her out to kill her!

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

"Really, Why do you have to make me angry." Seeing that no one came out obediently, the girl muttered dissatisfiedly, and the sound of footsteps gradually went away.

The girl was relieved and sneered.

Sure enough, the girl was lying, and she didn't find her at all. At least that man had not died in vain, their intelligence matched.

The woman felt the big rock on top of her heart fall to the ground. She brushed the fly away from her face and prepared to leave. Suddenly, her movements paused and horror quickly made her body feel cold.

The sunlight above her head disappeared.

She was enveloped by a black umbrella.

The blood woman turned stiffly on all fours and saw the girl with two ponytails standing silently behind her, smiling sweetly at her.

"I found you."

The waves crashed against the sea and the white foam seemed to be tinged a bloody red for a few seconds before dissipating with the waves.

The little girl looked up, her smile only became sweeter, she grabbed a small candy covered in red and placed it into her mouth, the bitterness and rust seemed to blend with the candies sweetness

The sea's salty breeze sprayed against her white face, washing away the small flecks of red.

After a moment, she held the umbrella and continued walking. She was bored, maybe she could find something more fun in the east. At the same time from all around the island, people familiar and unfamiliar began their long trek to the east, where the sun shone the brightest, like the wise men following the stars on the long journey to Bethlehem.

The day dawned very quickly as if the night had been chased away for an instant, the white belly of the moon floated in the east, would soon be replaced by a bright skylight.

At the end of the long darkness, you can finally see the light.

It's a pity that this inspirational sentence does not take effect on this island. Here, dawn only represents a new round of despair.. Black and white have no boundaries here, the head is empty and the feet are hopeless.
