21 Chapter 21: Son of wind

"Are you done with the second step?" Sakumo asked rhetorically... He already knew the answer.

"Yes sensei! What am I supposed to do now?"

"Well, earlier I said that you needed to focus on your speed and evasiveness. Start flickering in circles around me. I am sure you can't stop me from catching you." Sakumo made a provocative gesture with his hand.

Hideki was not a very proud person, but one thing he was proud of was his speed. If anyone poked fun at his speed, he would certainly not appreciate it. Especially since he was faster than his cousins by quite a lot.

"Oh yeah? Let's see about that!" With his fighting spirit surging, he flickered around Sakumo at his highest speed. Fugaku could see some after images, but couldn't quite pinpoint his location even when using the Sharingan.

Sakumo closed his eyes and made a simple grasping motion. Hideki was caught by the collar and he was immediately stopped, with disbelief plastered all over his face.

"How?!" Hideki was depressed. With the recent awakening of his eyes, his speed had increased exponentially. The fact that he was caught with such ease was not a concept he could understand or was willing to for that matter.

Sakumo let go of him, and Hideki landed on the floor. "Your speed is flashy and will trick your opponent's eyesight, the problem is that if you fight someone with acute senses, such as me, they will catch you quite easily." of course, no normal genin or chuunin would be able to even catch him. Jōnins were a completely different matter.

"This is why I had you train your wind nature transformation, wind and electricity are natural speed boosters. I first want you to use your newly acquired wind chakra when you perform the flicker. Try repeating the chase exercise." Sakumo had a mysterious smile on his face, as Fugaku stopped training out of curiosity.

Trusting his sensei, Hideki repeated the flicker but used wind chakra this time. He immediately felt an increase in speed as he created multiple intangible afterimages around Sakumo. Fugaku couldn't hear a single thing, it was almost as if he was completely soundless.

"I feel invincible!" While he was reveling in his new-found speed, Sakumo once again smiled and reached out. Hideki was thus caught once more.

"Again?! This is unfair!" Hideki felt like banging his head on a rock at this point, as he looked at his sensei with tears almost forming under his eyes.

"That was good. But I can sense your chakra rather easily, thus allowing me to pinpoint your location without using my eyes or ears. I want you to reach a point where I can't feel your presence, or even see you at all." Sakumo had a serious look on his face. "I, personally would not be able to take it to the next step even if I had an affinity with the wind as high as yours. This is due to my lack of natural ability and perception when compared to you three." Sakumo was well on his way to become the strongest ninja in the village by now, and he still felt inferior to these three when it came to talent.

"Untraceable... The only way I could achieve that would be by removing everything that gives me away, or my chakra in other words." At this moment, a huge wind gust blew on the three, and they were almost pushed back. Hideki looked at a bird that was struggling to fly. He couldn't feel it's chakra signature because of how dense the win was around it.

"Become one with the wind... I have it!" Hideki started channeling all of the wind chakra in him and coated his entire body with it. Cuts started to appear on his skin as the chakra was too wild. "Like it's precious to me..." Hideki started to make the chakra that was in contact with his skin become smooth while keeping the outside berserk and full of little wind needles. He started to emanate pressure as the wind around him almost avoided him out of fear.

"What is he doing Sakumo-sensei?!" Fugaku was scared shitless. The pressure Hideki was emanating was nothing short of incredible!

"I-I Do not know!" This was not in Sakumo's expectations at all, He didn't expect this kid to be so proficient with wind... It was unbelievable!

Hideki's body became coated in a wind cloak that stuck closely to his body, he couldn't hear anything... as if he was under water. His face distorted due to the struggle he was going through in trying to keep the coat under control. Wounds stopped appearing as his chakra calmed down around his skin. He felt his strength surge as he disappeared out of sight, reappearing behind a clueless Sakumo while holding his father's short blade close to his neck.

While Sakumo was still trying to understand what happened, Hideki's coat disappeared and his chakra reserves decreased by almost half. He fell on the ground, panting. "How was that Sensei?"

Unbelievable. That was the only word Sakumo could think of right now, He had witnessed a minimum S-Ranked jutsu being formed in front of his eyes. This technique, if maintained was probably capable of reaching greater speed than the Raikage's lightning chakra cloak. Especially because it dropped defense for speed.

"I did it! My own jutsu! Engrave these words into your hearts!" Hideki shouted at the top of his lungs as he looked up to the sky. "I, HIDEKI UCHIHA, WILL BECOME HOKAGE!!!" After he shouted those last words, he fainted.

Sakumo looked at his student with disbelief, This kid could really do it.

Fugaku, on the other hand, ignored him and went back to training, his fighting spirit reignited.

---------------------------------------------

Renko was watching through a crystal ball, and cold sweat started to form on her back when she saw the speed of that move. How could a kid do such a thing? It was unbelievable.

After hours of searching around the vicinity, her crystal-eyed owls did not find a single trace of the real Sakumo. She wanted to attack but was scared that it was a trap. Taking on a clone would not really be that hard, but she had to admit the real one might kill her.

"I guess I'll look a bit more. I will also position that one-eyed bastard and his little friends on standby... Just in case something happens..."

----------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Fugaku had finally managed to master the first step to his new jutsu. He did not lift rocks for anything, as now, he was physically strong enough to perform the jutsu.

"Fugaku, mold earth chakra and guide it towards your leg. Hit the ground as hard as you can, and imagine the chakra disrupting the ground structure." This was a strong Jutsu that Sakumo had gained on the battlefield, he wasn't a physical freak nor had an earth affinity, this he wasn't suitable for it. Fugaku was a different story though, as he fulfilled both of the requirements.

"Hai..." He did as he was told, and as soon as his leg hit the ground, a fearsome amount of fissures extended from his position outward. The trees started to fall and Hideki woke up once more.

"Earthquake! HELP! I am going to die! I am too young for this!" Hideki held his head with his hands and shed tears. Was this the end?

As he felt the tremors subside, he opened his eyes and saw Sakumo smiling awkwardly while Fugaku laughed at him.

"Ahem... That was just a joke, How could the great Hideki be scared of a mere earthquake?!" This time, even Sakumo could not hold back a little laugh.

Hideki pouted and ran walked toward Jin's location. "You meanies! only aniki understands me!"

----------------------------------------------

The rock from before had already been destroyed, and multiple ones around it had also been pulverized. Jin had now reached enough mastery over his new jutsu to use it in combat. Although it sure was strong, Sasuke could teleport with it, making it more deadly. He also wanted to do that, but sadly he did not possess the Rinnegan.

"I guess my only option is the flying thunder God huh?" Minato's technique that the second Hokage created. It was undoubtedly overpowered if he could learn it would be for the best.

"How though?" that would be an issue for later. He needed to focus on his Chidori for now, as he continued to train. Hideki appeared with a flicker next to him though, interrupting him.

Jin really liked Hideki, even though he was his cousin, he viewed him more as a cute little brother. Seeing him all sad and pouting, his curiosity got the best of him.

"What happened?..."

Hideki explained everything from the beginning to the end, including his new jutsu. Jin was surprised and asked for him to demonstrate.

Hideki readily agreed and started leaving after images as he moved around, accumulating wind chakra. Jin's eyes could follow him, but he couldn't hear him at all. "Awesome Hideki!"

"I'm not done yet, aniki!" he coated his body with wind and he instantly appeared behind Jin, tapping his shoulder lightly with a grin. "How was that?"

Jin was dazed, this speed was unbelievable. Before he could comment though, Hideki fainted once more with a smile on his face. "I guess it's very taxing..."

He placed the sleeping Hideki under a nearby tree and started training in chakra control, He did not train Chidori in fear of waking his little cousin up.
