20 Chapter 20: Birds? You mean Metal!

It had been a couple of hours since the incident with the owl. Jin and the rest were back at the camp, as they carried a frown.

"I can't believe they already found us. If the enemy knows we are here, we will have to change strategies." Sakumo was mad at the fact he was not careful enough, he was still young and mistakes like these happened sometimes.

"Now they know we are here, and that's a fact. If I were in their shoes, judging from the mission scroll and their numbers, I am more than sure thatI would decide to take us on." Jin remained calm as he gave his analysis on the situation.

"On the mission scroll, it said that our target is currently in the middle of a journey from the land of the Waves to the land of Fire. They have stopped at their current hideout and haven't moved in over a week. Judging by their past movements, they should leave in for days at most, two at minimum." Sakumo recalled the details on the mission scroll. "Now that they discovered us,like Jin said, they might want to take action while they have the advantage. The Jonin leader of their troops is a very savvy individual from what I recall, so I doubt they will jump into action straight away, as they probably know me." As he explained, he looked at the three with serious eyes. "I have a plan, but it is risky..."

They went over Sakumo's plan, and Jin felt it might work. For now, they would just pretend to be wary.

The day went on, and Jin thought about the upcoming battle. His Sharingan and genjutsu were currently his strongest abilities, while he had a couple of good fire release techniques and basic shinobi jutsu as a backup. He felt weak when he compared himself to Sasuke, He knew he was younger and that he had a lot of potential but he wanted to get stronger to avenge his father one day.

"Sasuke... Strength... Kakashi... Chi-Chidori!" He was mumbling to himself when he recalled one of the staple jutsu in the anime, none other than Kakashi's Chidori! How could he forget? "I guess having a family and friends does blind someone and their priorities huh?..."

Laughing at himself, he started molding chakra into electricity. "From what I recall, Kakashi developed this jutsu after failing to apply a nature transformation to the Rasengan. He molded electricity and focused it all in his hand, similarly to the thir-... to that bastard's finger technique..." Jin's murderous intent exploded outwards, and the little owl that was silently observing him left in a hurry as it was scared away. Its eyes were weird, they seemed like they were replaced by crystals.

Jin felt a bit of satisfaction when he thought of one day Killing the Third Raikage. How ironic would it be if he did so with a Chidori?

He concentrated and focused all of the lightning chakra being molded in his system directly to his hand. Black lightning sparks started to form, as they quickly enveloped his hand.

Jin was confused... Why was his lightning not blue like Sasuke's? The Chidori faded away as he lost concentration for a moment. His newly increased chakra reserves instantly decreased by around a quarter.

"If I recall correctly, Sasuke also had a black Chidori... It only appeared when he entered the second form of the cursed seal in part one. I always thought Kishimoto ditched it only to later give it to him when he gained the Rikudo's chakra." Jin was visibly confused. His Chidori wasn't even grey like Sasuke's, it was pitch black. "Didn't Chidori make chirping sounds? This sounds more metallic... almost unbearable." He activated his Sharingan and tried again.

The eerie Chidori appeared, and this time, Jin clearly saw the Yin chakra that he grew so used to converge into the electricity. It looked like a nature transformation, but why did it happen with his Chidori and not with his other Jutsu?

"What the hell is going on..."

The only way he could explain it would be it had to do with his high lightning affinity in comparison to fire, but even so, he was skeptical.

His skin then started to peel off, as the electricity got out of control. He canceled it as soon as a bolt hit his arm, cutting through his shirt and digging into some of his flesh. "..."

The electricity's power was stronger than he thought. "This is probably a weakened version of Sasuke's Onyx Chidori... now that I think about it." Sasuke's turned greyish in color as it was infused with six-paths Yin energy, while this one carried normal yin energy.

He summoned it one more time, and this time made use of what he learned while climbing trees. The Chidori started to concentrate more on his palm, as it finally stabilized.

"Alright!"

Jin was ecstatic, He couldn't wait to try it out. He looked around and saw a nearby two-meter rock, which he ran to at full speed. As he ran, he felt his speed had become at least double what it used to be. He managed to control himself with the aid of his eyes.

BANG!

The birds in the vicinity all took flight, as a loud explosion was heard. Jin retrieved his embedded arm and noticed that the two-meter rock in front of him had a huge dent, and had fissure-like cracks spreading towards it's back. It looked like it would collapse at any moment.

"Wow... Talk about power. If I did not have the Sharingan, I can imagine my vision would have turned out to be like a tunnel."

Sakumo's clone watched from a nearby tree, He frowned as he saw the power of the Jutsu.

----------------------------------

Somewhere relatively close to Jin's whereabouts, Hideki was laying on his back, watching the clouds pass by. Suddenly, he heard a huge bang and stood up immediately.

"Did something happen?!"

"No, that was Jin trying out a new jutsu he seems to have made himself."

"Who?!"

Hideki turned around in fright as he saw Sakumo's shadow clone approach him along with Fugaku, who seemed annoyed.

"Ahhh, it's only sensei and Fugaku... You guys scared me for nothing... wait... Jin created a jutsu himself?" Hideki had his eyes wide open as Fugaku looked away, jealousy covering his eyes.

"Yes, and I want you to do so too. Usually this training is reserved for higher caliber ninjas, but in my opinion, you guys have the talent required to fill that gap in mastery."

"My own Jutsu?" Hideki got excited. If he could make his own technique, for himself, that would take him one step closer to achieving his dream of becoming the Hokage one day! "Sensei! How do we do it?" Fugaku's ears also perked up.

Sakumo looked at them with tender eyes and explained about chakra-transformations. He then asked for them to state their affinities.

"Hideki, your fighting style involves speed and overall sneakiness. In my opinion, you should work on that and increase your speed." He was a speed-type, and it was his greatest asset. If he could outspeed anyone, who would beat him?

"Good point sensei! How do I start?"

"Start by thinking about wind. Be one with the wind around you, as the breeze hits you, think of you chakra performing a cutting motion, as it splits in half. Climb up that tall tree and grab a leaf, place it between your hands and try to split it in two with your chakra alone." This was the first step.

Hideki nodded and ran up a tree with ease. He sat on top and placed a nearby leaf in between his little palms. Closing his eyes, he felt the wind blow around him and envisioned his chakra performing a cutting motion as he permeated it through the leaf.

Fygaku was impatient and looked at Sakumo with a fiery gaze. Sakumo thought for a while and looked at Fugaku with some disappointment in his eyes.

"I do not think it is suitable for you to do this since you do not have any jutsu that would benefit from an earth nature transformation. I will compensate by teaching you one of my special Earth Style techniques that don't suit my fighting style. Don't worry, it is strong..."

Fugaku didn't mind and started learning immediately.

Close by, Renko was watching everything take place through her little owls. These kids were quite troublesome... especially the long-haired lightning brat. If she eliminated them, it would be easier for the others to finish off Sakumo of the leaf together.

Making up her mind, she sent more owls to search for the real Sakumo, and check if he was in the vicinity. If he wasn't, she undoubtedly would strike.

Hideki, after a couple of hours, managed to split the leaf and came back to Sakumo with a huge grin on his face. "What's next?"

Sakumo was now used to these three and their monstrous learning speed. Nature transformation would take years for people to grasp, and this kid did it in a couple of hours. Not to mention that Jin did it unconsciously...

"The next step is to take another leaf, and this time use your cutting wind chakra to elevate it and have it float. To achieve this without splitting the leaf, you need to imagine your chakra supporting it as if it were something precious." What Hideki needed was not a destructive technique, so they would focus more on the gentle, soundless aspect of wind.

Hideki was naturally smart, and immediately understood what his teacher had said. He placed another leaf in between his hands and attempted to make it float in between. He tried a couple hundred times in which he cut the leaf every time. Finally managing to succeed after another three hours.

When Hideki looked up, he saw Fugaku lifting a huge mass of rock from the ground and throwing it to the nearby shrubbery, His eyes became shaped like stars after seeing that scene.

"Fugaku! You're so cool!"

"Heh!" Fugaku himself was smirking, the crater that the huge mass of earth left in its landing point pleased him a lot.
