6 Chapter 6: Stone table

After the funeral, Jin hugged his mom one last time before letting her rest. He then made his way to Naka shrine once more, where Goro had summoned him earlier. He had a look of determination in his eyes, similar to that of Sasuke's when he thought of Itachi, although he wasn't really aware of it at the moment.

When he arrived at the predetermined location, Goro welcomed him and gave him a firm pat on the shoulder, leading him through a secret passage underground, where Jin was greeted with the sight of a stone tablet with flames on each of its sides.

"Is this the Uchiha stone tablet from the manga? The one that led Madara to become a villain?"

Jin's brain was on full gear, remembering what he could about the tablet when Goro spoke up.

"This is the Uchiha clan's most prized possession, the Stone tablet. Here are recorded secrets that are only capable of being seen by the Sharingan. Since you have awakened yours, I will allow you to have a look."

Goro had recently awakened his Mangekyō-Sharingan and he had deciphered a bit more from the stone tablet. He now knew about a certain infinite Tsukuyomi but didn't really understand it's meaning. Perception wasn't really his strong point."

Jin looked at the tablet for a while before activating his newly acquired one-comma Sharingan to start reading the tablet. What he saw was the method of obtaining the Mangekyō, by experiencing the emotional trauma of a loss, ore an extreme emotion such as conviction or love.

As soon as he read that, he remembered that Black-Zetsu had tampered with the stone tablet in the past, in order to jeopardize the Uchiha clan and their values. He felt anxiety well up in his head as he thought of ways to deal with the situation.

"That's it! I'll just tamper with it myself!"

Jin thought he had come across a brilliant idea when he realized that it wasn't going to be that easy. How was he going to modify it, to begin with? At that moment, another idea popped in his head, as he closed his eyes, and slowly felt the yin energy around him. He molded his chakra and attempted to apply the yin transformation to it while directing it towards his eyes.

The process seemed to go smoothly until a fatal error occurred as he tried to apply Yin nature to his chakra, and his flow got interrupted.

"It's not going to be that easy huh..."

Jin had a plan, by feeding his Sharingan Yin chakra, it might be able to give him more abilities when it came to his visual prowess. He got the idea from when Naruto made his Rasen-Shuriken in the anime. But it seems he'll have to train for a while.

"What do you see Jin?"

Snapping out from his daydream, Jin looked at Goro with a smile.

"Something about the Mangekyō-Sharingan? along the way to obtain it."

Goro seemed satisfied as he left the shrine along with Jin. Telling him to meet at the training ground later. He would teach him some jutsu along with Fugaku and Hideki.

As Jin was making his way back to his house, he organized his current goals in his head. First was training in the Yin-chakra transformation, which would require a lot of training depending on his ability. Afterward, he would learn his mother's jutsu along with the Uchiha's that Goro was willing to teach him.

"No time to relax, I have to get stronger. The third Raikage died during the third war, which should happen in twenty-five years or so. Time is on my side."

Reaching his room, he sat down on the side of his bed where he started to do strange movements with his hands. These were hand seals, he remembered that there were twelve in total:

Rat, Ox, Tiger, Hare, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Bird, Dog and finally, Boar. These seals were made to help ninjas mold the necessary chakra for various jutsu. Although with skill, one can reduce the number of hand seals required to use a jutsu, with some even removing their use entirely such as Naruto with his Rasengan.

The seal Jin was performing at the moment was not one of them, it was the traditional Naruto hand seal when he used his shadow-clone jutsu. Jin wanted to test out this technique since he remembered the procedures of splitting his chakra.

After a couple of hours, he grasped it and made a shadow clone. If anyone saw this they would be scared due to the talent he was showing.

His clone looked at him and they both knew what to do. By summoning a clone, he was able to double the speed of his training in nature transformations. With newfound inspiration, he worked at it all day.

Time for his training with Goro had arrived.

He had made good progress, feeling his chakra become more and more spiritual when he focused on using yin release, which made him happy, but not satisfied, since he was always blocked before reaching his eyes, due to lack of control.

He washed his face and walked to the training grounds where Goro and his cousins were waiting for him. he nodded at them and sat down.

Goro skipped the pleasantries and went straight to teaching them the great fireball jutsu. After teaching them the hand signs and the procedures, he took them to a lake close to his house and had the trio train over there as he watched over their progress.

As Fugaku and Hideki were preparing hand-seals, Jin performed the seals he had already memorized in his past life at an incredible speed which left Goro shocked as he watched. Anticipation growing in his eyes.

"Fire style! Great Fireball Technique!"

The words he had dreamed to shout in his past life resounded through the lake as he kneaded and molded his chakra into a raging fire that he blew into the air, taking the form of a fireball that doubled his little body in size.

"This one's for you dad!"

He shouted mentally, as Goro had his mouth open so wide a fist could fit in it. He couldn't believe Jin had mastered the technique on his first try. It was a miracle.

Hideki's eyes were starstruck, as he showered his cousin with compliments. He then started to work at it too.

While Goro had no words, Fugaku looked at Jin and started working harder, succeeding on his fifth attempt. Although the size of the fireball wasn't comparable to that of Jin's he was satisfied.

Hideki also succeeded, but only after his tenth attempt.

Goro was stupefied, these three had monstrous talent, and were assured the leading spot in their generation. Satisfied, he kept on watching as the other two mastered it a couple of hours later.

Jin had been working on his nature transformation for the past thirty minutes when Goro called out and had them converge in front of him.

"Alright you three, since you are so good at this I am going to teach you the body flicker technique along with the Henge. Since you mastered the fireball this should be easy for you."
