Chapter 171: Chosen one or renegade?

Lucien knew he could always use the royal decree to gain the force this clan to bow to him but that doesn't mean they will accept him. To accomplish the task, Lucien is meant to make the clan accept him and not the other way around. In this world might is right, so the quickest way to gain their approval is through strength! Ruthless and unflattering resolve!

Black bolts of lightning surged around Lucien's body so fiercely that he released bolts of lightning, gunning down all those who took to the air. With each Raizen clan member Lucien killed, the stronger his completion rate for the Raizen god beast assimilation. As the system refused to give him updates on his current progress Lucien didn't know of this. He failed to notice the glowing Raizen tattoo on his back as he kept pushing forward.

In just a few minutes the news of the attack on the Raizen clan spread across the empire but what was more stunning was that the empire turned a blind eye to all of this and refused to say a word about it. Everyone knew Lucien had a close relationship with the emperor but that didn't mean he was allowed to do as he pleases! While many humans saw this as a punishment for the treacherous clan that harbored the traitor Lukas Raizen, the others felt Lucien was going too far! He was killing anyone who dared stand in his way, not caring if they are powerless civilians or just academy students.

At this point, Lucien became one of the most loved members of the empire as well as one of the most hated members of the empire.

In a few hours, Lucien had already reached the inner walls of the Raizen clan where the main branch family members are located and even he had to stop. While the outer wall was the least protected, the inner wall only harbored experts at the mortal realm and above. With knowledge of how powerful the Raizen Clan's main force is, even Lucien couldn't help but halt his advance. He stood on the head of Argo and with an indifferent look on his face, he stretched forth his and tore a hole in space.

Many watched as Lucien dragged out the corpse of Lukas and violently flung it towards the troops atop the wall.

"I am Lucien Raizen… Grandson of Lukas Raizen… The man who defeated your clan head in free and fair combat…. I am here to take what is mine!" Lucien said coldly as bolts of black lightning gathered around his hands. His eyes were extremely bright now and behind him was the massive image of the Raizen god beast but even then Lucien didn't know. Unknown to him his completion rate has risen extremely high but he is still unaware of it.

The guards and elders on the wall gazed at the image behind Lucien with fear since they all noticed that the Raizen avatar behind Lucien had a life of its own.

"This kid is a monster!" An elder said as he watched Lucien's aura running wild.

"He may be the chosen one the clan always needed… A powerful link to the Raizen god beast means he has a boundless future!" One of the Elders argued

"Does he look like he's the one controlling that power? He cannot control this power!" The first elder screamed.

Lucien expected a reply from the elders but they ignored his words and even acted like he wasn't there, always gazing past him. At first, Lucien felt enraged but then he noticed the fearful looks in their eyes when they gazed past him. Only then did he realize the silver aura blazing around him. He could feel something breathing down his neck, causing him to shiver badly before he turned around and met the enemy face to face.

Usually, when the image of the god beast is summoned through the link, it mimics the summoner's movements but in this case, the Raizen image remained stationary and kept looking down on Lucien. A normal person will feel terrified or fearful at least but Lucien showed no fear, instead, he felt enraged. This is the second god he is making an encounter with, doesn't that mean he is cursed or something.

"Lucien…" The Raizen avatar said calmly while looking Lucien in the eye.

Hearing this everyone watching, including the elders fell on their knees and lowered their heads in fear. In their opinion, the fact the Raizen God beast called Lucien's name in such a calm manner is a sign of approval! If the god beast accepts him, who are they to reject him!

When Lucien heard his name called in such a calm manner, he was dazed and had the strong urge to fall on his knees and pray to this godly being but then the notifications popped up, and when he saw the last part his eyes turned cold.

"Piss off!" Lucien growled as he waved his hand recklessly, releasing bolts of black lighting striking violently without restraint!

Many were stunned upon seeing this act of disrespect against a god! The elders saw this and for some reason, they were not enraged instead they were excited by Lucien's actions! They couldn't explain why he did it but they were happy he did it!

The Raizen avatar showed no intentions of retreating as he powered through the lightning and grabbed Lucien's hands. Seeing this being effortlessly power through the terrifying black bolts of lightning that even a spirit realm master is scared off they had no more doubt in their mind that this being is the Raizen god beast!

"ACTING COCKY? BOLD!!!" Lucien growled as more bolts of black lightning exploded from his body, up to the point where his body could no longer be seen!

Lucien's enraged scream made the blood of all those kneeling boil. They were the ones who always considered the gods as absolute beings and even though this is an Avatar of the Raizen god beast, the fact that Lucien dared go against this being got them excited!
