Chapter 129: Suprises!

Seeing the headless body drop and fresh blood pouring over the red rug. Everyone gasped in shock and even the representatives of the Libet empire were stunned, they never expected to see someone so disrespectful even towards an emperor! Even they wouldn't dare act this way in front of their emperor, not to speak of a fourteen-year-old.

"Hmmm… I guess he didn't stand a chance?" Emperor Fei asked while leaning back with a smile on his face.

"He used his flaming sword to attack so I broke the sword with my and crushed his head as well" Lucien answered dryly to show it wasn't an interesting issue.

Hearing this, many would expect the emperor to flare up but instead, the smile on his face widened as he leaned towards Lucien with an apprehensive look on his face.

"I was told a major activity was going on at your territory, do you mind sharing?" Emperor Fei asked.

"It's nothing serious, my emperor… I only found myself and my soul seal partner under the siege of the three king-tier magic beasts residing near my territory… We fought and won… With their beast cores, my partner should reach the Emperor tier in a year or two" Lucien answered calmly but his words stunned everyone.

They have heard of his king-tier magic beast partner and the three king-tier magic beasts surrounding his territory. They all expected him to seek assistance from the empire sooner or later when dealing with them but now, Lucien came here, claiming to have fought off not one but three of them!

"That explains the new tattoos on your body… it seems your beast assimilation ability came in handy here… You have really profited from it this time!" Emperor Fei laughed and Lucien bowed lightly in response. His eyes remained cold as his body bent slightly and only after the emperor spoke did these people realize what the emperor said is true.

Doesn't that mean that this kid has the abilities of three king-tier magic beasts in one body?

Doesn't it mean he will have an emperor-level magic beast as a partner soon?

Doesn't that make him one of the strongest nobles in the empire?

"You are Lucien…" a gray-haired elderly man amongst the Libet representatives spoke up.

His eyes were always shut tight and he always wore an innocent smile on his face but that's what makes him even more terrifying. He is the one who is close to entering the champion realm! A realm where only emperor Fei and the other two great emperors are in. Lucien gazed at this man meaningfully for a while before answering

"Yes…"

Hearing it the old man nodded repeatedly with a bright smile on his face. His slightly yanked open as his gaze penetrated Lucien's body! It seemed as if he was trying to view Lucien's soul but for some reason, his smile faded and was replaced with a frown. He was trying to see all the secrets hidden in Lucien's body but some sort of veil was preventing it!

How can a mere fourteen-year-old stop him from viewing his secrets?

Yanking both eyes open, they both revealed a golden flash as he pushed his ability to the max! His all-seeing eyes broke the veil surrounding Lucien but what it saw next was darkness! Within the darkness, a pair of blue reptilian eyes yanked open and soon the darkness began to fade!

"You wish to see me? Very well then" Rakuzen's cold voice echoed in his ears as the darkness around him faded!

"Aaaaahhhhh!"

The elderly man suddenly let out a painful cry as his eyes exploded leaving behind empty eye sockets! Blood poured out of his wound as he fell off his chair and rolled on the ground like a child while covering his eyes with his palms and crying.

Everyone was stunned including the emperor! They all turned their shocked gaze at Lucien who remained rooted to that same spot while gazing at the old man. Thanks to the mask no one saw the surprised look on his face! He too was stunned by the outcome!

"None may see the face of god, stupid old man" Lucien said those words so calmly but it sent shivers down the spine of everyone in the hall. Even the Emperor felt a bit terrified of the youth.

They couldn't understand what Lucien meant by that statement but they could see the outcome clearly so no one dared refute his words. Once again Emperor Fei remembered the day he asked Rakuzen for his name and the reply he was given.

"You are not qualified to know!"

Those words kept ringing in his ears. He finally started believing those words slowly after seeing Lucien perform one miracle after the other.

"I heard you came here for me, so I will give you face and explain the situation… Your expedition troops tried to steal from me in the dungeon… They forcefully tried to take away a gift given to me by the emperor and because of that, I killed all of them… This world obeys the laws of the jungle… The strong get whatever they want and that's why they tried to steal from me and even attempted to take my life… I am stronger so I killed them…. That's all there is to it… if you came here seeking some sort of compensation then you will be disappointed…" Lucien said coldly at the two men holding onto the screaming old man.

They gazed at Lucien coldly, knowing fully well that even if they wanted to attack him, the emperor won't let them and after what happened to their leader, they couldn't help but doubt if they stand a chance against Lucien. In as much as the nobles of the empire hate Lucien, they wouldn't let a member of their empire get bullied. They didn't expect Lucien would give such an amazing speech and they couldn't help but applaud him loudly.

To hell with the Libet empire!

If it were Lucien who died at their hands and had the Habakiri stolen would they return it and apologize?
