Chapter 122: Price for power (1)

"They are making a move!" Rupture growled the moment that reached the mountain ranges! 

The two other King tier magic beasts seem to have noticed their movements and they guessed their intentions so they moved out!

"Are they alone?" Lucien asked with a frown on his face.

He could tell when someone is spying on him but he is unable to tell what the other king-tier magic beasts are doing because the distance is just too great. At this time, he can only rely on Rupture to give him the information he needs.

"No!" Rupture answered hastily.

"Carrying general level and solider level magic beasts with them will only slow them down so they are coming alone!" Rupture added making Lucien heave out a sigh of relief.

He was at least thirty percent sure he can keep the enemy distracted but IG they should bring with them a horde of magic beasts, he would have no choice but to flee!

"There!" Rupture growled, snapping him out of his daze!

Gazing at the mountain range, Lucien could see countless magic beasts from the Abok bloodline but at various levels! Since these magic beasts are earth types with their specialty being melee combat, they had no way of stopping the approaching human and his king-tier companion.

Magic beasts from the mountain surged forward like a tidal wave, shooting down the mountain like a flood. They came expecting the enemy to barge into them but to their greatest surprise, Lucien and Rupture shot past them heading directly towards the largest mountain present.

There, what looked like a mighty rock snake, large enough to wrap around a mountain peak! Compared to it, Rupture was only half its size! Sensing the incoming foes, the Abok yanked one of its eyes open, pinning its gaze on the weakest member of the pack! Lucien!

'So this is the Abok! What intense pressure!' Lucien commented in his mind with a bitter smile but this did not mean he had any intentions of retreating!

Roar!

Lucien let out an inhuman growl as lightning began surging around his body fiercely. Even those at the southern gate could see the flashing blue lights surging around a tiny being.

"Tier three lightning magic: Zeus!" Lucien growled!

Lucien had no intentions of just releasing the attack halfheartedly! If he held back against such a powerful beast he will end up dead and this time the magic beasts won't be holding back as Rupture did against him.

He took a deep breath but this time he wasn't aiming for air but the mana in the air. Lucien allowed the mana to surge through every vein in his body! It felt like his body was about to explode but he endured and continued the process! The lightning spear taking shape above his head kept increasing in size considerably while becoming thicker!

"He's doing it!" Instructor Hai exclaimed as he saw that lighting spear increase in size! He could tell it has already surpassed the strength of the original spell! Lucien was fueling it with mana to strengthen it!

A massive figure shot above Lucien garnering the attention of the Abok! Gazing at the Rupture it showed hints of fear and hesitation!

"Follow my lead, Kid!" Rupture bellowed as its body expanded increasing its body size while lava poured out of its body! From a small wave, the lava kept increasing in size until it was practically the size of a tidal wave with rupture riding atop it!

Hisssssss!

Abok hissed viciously as its brown stony skin turned gray! It was using its metal element to reinforce its body! The massive serpent lunged towards the sea of lava, aiming for Rupture! For it to dive forward meant it was quite confident in its overwhelming defense!

"Impudent fool!" Rupture bellowed!

It seems to be angered by the gusty move of the lower bloodline foe! In its own opinion, it was like a commoner trying to fight a noble! It's just disrespectful!

Boom!

Lucien was standing some hundred meters behind Rupture buy the collision created a powerful shockwave that threw Lucien hundreds of meters back, causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood.

'Seriously! Just from a shockwave! Does that mean all this while Rupture has been holding back on me!" Lucien gasped in his mind!

The strength showcased by these two juggernauts was far beyond his expectations! The strength of a king-tier magic beast is truly terrifying! This explains why they can kill spirit realm masters!

Abok seemed to have emerged out of the lava unscathed, smashing into Rupture with its steel head, causing Rupture to retreat by a step!

Boom!

Both combatants landed on the mountain peak creating another powerful shockwave but this time it threw off all the magic beasts running up the mountain, hoping to aid their leader!

Hisssss!

Abok hissed as it maneuvered through Rupture's attacks and wrapped around Rupture, binding it and restricting its movements! Even if the Abok is from a lower bloodline, it is known for its strength and its steel element made it one of the most powerful magic beasts of its level in terms of physical strength! Its head soared high and its vicious gaze was fixated on Rupture's neck! Bearing its fangs, it dived down for the bite but then something unexpected happened.

The combatants have long forgotten about Lucien so they never saw it coming! The lightning spear tore through the air, accurately striking the spot it couldn't harden with its steel element!

Its eyes!

Aboki hissed and its grip loosened, giving Rupture the chance to break free.

Bam!

Rupture gripped its body firmly and pulled down violently!

Bang!

The massive body of the Abok was pulled down forcefully, causing the entire mountain to tremble.

"Burn!" Rupture bellowed as the lava surged out of its body consuming both it and Abok! Both combatants could be seen shooting into the air as the lava wrapped around them forming an orb!

At this point, it didn't matter how powerful, Abok's steel skin is! Under the constant heat of the lava, it is bound to melt! As long as they are not interrupted, Lucien was sure that Rupture would emerge victorious.

"That is if they stay uninterrupted!" Lucien said coldly as he turned his attention to the distance!

It was faint but he could feel it, they are coming!

"Status!" Lucien said calmly

"I will do my part… just do yours!" Lucien said with a frown as wrapped his hands around his chest and waited patiently.

He couldn't go-ahead to meet them since they are coming from two different sides. Also head to stay close by if he wishes to absorb the beast essence that Abok when it dies. He didn't know how he would be able to stop these two from reaching Rupture but now wasn't the time to think of what he can and cannot do. Right now, all he can do is focus on what's ahead of him.

[I have gathered enough faith power… If I fight for you, your chances of victory will be a lot higher!] Rakuzen screamed in his mind but Lucien paid him no heed.

This fight is his, win or lose it all depends on him. He had already decided not to depend on any power that isn't his so allowing Rakuzen to interfere is out of the question! He finally felt death looming over him as the two king-tier beasts approached but he didn't cower in fear! He felt his blood boiling and his power surging! He didn't know why but he was more excited than afraid!

"Faceless!" Lucien growled viciously as his aura exploded!

The faceless appeared above his head and promptly took the shape of the Azure blue dragon! It was probably deemed its most powerful form since its copying the power of an ancient God.

"System Overdrive!" Lucien growled as his body lit up with power and four figures appeared over his head. It was the nightmare demon, Rakuzen god beast, General level Hell hound, and the soldier level Roc!

Raising his hands, he promptly summoned the habakiri into his hands and from it, a powerful burst of shadow energy exploded filling the skies above them!

[Shadow storm skill activated]

Slowly the lava sphere housing the two magic beasts levitated even higher until it was lost in the shadow! Without saying a word, Rupture had already understood Lucien's intentions and cooperated to the best of his abilities.

"Good luck kid… It won't take much longer! You can do it!" Rupture's voice echoed in Lucien's head causing him to break a smile.

"Luck? Luck cannot save you in this situation! I will survive because I am strong!" Lucien growled with all his might!

"Hahahahaha! That's what I like to hear!" Rupture's voice finally faded as his lava orb sank deeper into the shadow storm!

Leaving behind only Lucien and two furious King tier magic beasts heading his way!
