Following the countless explosions, the black sphere in the air shattered and three figures appeared. One was Lucien who looked disgusted while the other was Derik who carried the extremely drained ant queen in his hand. She was so emaciated it looked like there was nothing left in her body!

"Damn you, man... That wasn't necessary" Lucien said as he threw a stone at Derik.

Derik used the shriveled body of the ant queen as a shield as he descended slowly. His eyes showcased power surging through him and right now he was in the middle of a breakthrough! If he can succeed this time, he should be able to reach the peak of the spirit realm, just a step away from becoming a champion realm expert!

Meanwhile, Lucien was soon assaulted by countless notifications from his system that took his eyes off Derik.

Lucien didn't have enough time to read through the messages as he felt a cool energy surge into his body. His eyes turned white as he tried to guide the energy through his body to trigger a breakthrough.

For over an hour plus, the two sat there in silence as they focused on breaking into the new tier of their realm.

"I failed" Derik said dryly as he stood up with a disappointed look on his face. The energy he gathered was just slightly insufficient for him to trigger the breakthrough and since he attempted anyway he just wasted all that energy.

He could feel Lucien has broken into the second level of the spirit realm, just two levels behind him now. His eyes had no emotions as he snapped his fingers and his shadow expanded, allowing him to summon his newest collection to his undead army.

"Rise" Derik said coldly as the ant queen appeared in front of him and knelt.

He nodded his head in approval and finally took a step back. At this point, his eyes revealed a terrifying light as his body tilted forward and his body was quickly encased in bright silver ant Armor!

Whoosh!

The ant queen also dawned on the armor as both of them exploded at each other releasing flurries of punches! Powerful shockwaves pulled Lucien out of his meditative state, seeing Derik encased in white ant armor while battling the ant queen, the youth couldn't help but feel terrified.

He may have gained the beast assimilation of the ant queen and can summoner her just like Derik's undead magic, the thought of Derik, gaining the ability to do this too, even though he didn't have the beast assimilation ability of the Rakuzen is terrifying. It meant that Derik could do what he is capable of doing but unlike him, Derik is not limited to beasts only! He is actually a superior version of the Rakuzen inheritance!

"Not bad!" Derik said as he landed on the ground heavily.

Even though they went all out against each other he could barely feel the pain. Unless Lucien has a way of stacking beast assimilation abilities together, their defense should be just about the same!

"Did you really have to kiss it?" Lucien couldn't help but ask making Derik frown.

"If I had done it any other way I would have failed and she would have been on guard against it... I had to leave her strained by letting her use her domain while fighting at the same time... This allowed the blood control work, allowing me to send the devour aura into her, mixed with my death aura to mess her up from the inside... It was all a gamble and I won... That's all that matters" Derik said.

Hearing this, Lucien nodded and wore an attentive expression on his face but after everything, he couldn't help but ask.

"But did you have to kiss her? Or you just wanted to?"

In a dark room, a heavily damaged figure could be seen sealed in some sort of transparent crystal. He could not move his body, he could not move his eyes but countless people were worshipping him like a god.

"You are yet to hear anything from them?" A voice began emanating from the Crystal as two men dressed in golden robes appeared.

"It seems like they both vanished... Even till now, we haven't heard any news about the two... We suspect they are in secluded cultivation waiting for the invasion to start! We need to make a move" One of the men in golden robes said dryly.

"What if they appear? We can't afford to lose more men! We the four pillars of the creed has been reduced to only two pillars and that was before they acquired the inheritance... Do you think we stand a chance against them now?" The other argued with a serious tone.

SILENCE!

An enraged voice echoed across the massive hall and the two fell on their knees with their heads bowed. There was silence for a while and they assumed the creed leader was contemplating on what to do. Sing his body was sealed here, he body which was completely severed, limb to limb was slowly attaching to each other again. He has been using the power of faith to recover as fast as he can but he needs more than what he is getting already!

"While Derik is just too strong, Lucien has a very powerful being residing within him, I can't tell what they are thinking! I cannot see their future!" The creed leader said coldly, making the creed pillars frown.

"Then what shall we do?" They asked while they remained on their knees.

"This battle is not for us only... When the invasion starts, the first line of defense will be those two... when they fall, the continent will turn to me!" The cold voice said calmly!
