Chapter 225: A bold claim

Returning to the empire Lucien was received by many and at that moment he realized how many female fans he had and at this point, he realized he was still single and until he actually has someone these people won't stop throwing themselves at him. "Family" Lucien muttered as he gazed at his open palms and remembered his time with the emperor. The emperor valued relationships overpower and that was probably why he died but he lived a happy life.

"Fucking old man... I keep learning from you even after you die... If you were alive I would have learned so much more" Lucien muttered with a light smile on his face. He wished he could do more for the old man before he died but it has already passed and there is nothing he can do about it now.

"Let's go in... All of you!" Lucien said and shot a wink at Alice and Instructor Han.

The duo was stunned since they didn't expect this. Since Lucien became the emperor he barely looked at them and even though they were saddened by this, they understood that he has been busy. Right now they were not too sure if Lucien wanted to see them and they waited for their relationship to fade with time.

Lucien didn't say more as he lead everyone into the palace. Soon they reached the courtroom and Lucien walked up to his throne and sat down.

"Alice... Han come stand by my side" Lucien said the moment he noticed them standing at one corner of the room. As an emperor, the spirit breast clan was no longer under his territory and was assimilated as a clan of its own. As the leader of the newly formed clan, Aponi, the chieftain of the clan had a seat with the other noble clan heads.

"Tell me what was in the dungeon" Klaus of the Lightborn clan said with a smile on his face. Seeing Lucien calling up his daughter to stand by his side was a good deed in his notebook. It meant Lucien actually valued her and he felt all they needed is a little push for them to start dating.

"There was no sealed artifact... In fact, it was something greater than I expected... It was an inheritance!" Lucian said leaving everyone confused.

He went further to explain what inheritance is and how it works. He explained why an inheritance is sorted by many and he explained everything that happened in there. What stunned these people was not his achievements but that of Derik.

These people soon realized how amazing the Death god they summoned for help and how beneficial it would be if they keep him on their side. When Lucien told them about the paintings, the other continents, and the invasion plan of the other gods they were horrified and many trembled. Many wanted to panic but seeing how Lucien spoke about it indifferently they gradually calmed down and gazed at him with full attention.

"So, the gods lack the inheritance of the world and that's why they could not compare to Derik when he invaded this world?" Vlad asked and Lucien nodded in agreement.

"Right now, Derik has an inheritance from his old world and that of this world... Making him a terrifying figure... I can see why you didn't dare battle him back then" The Lucardo family head said with a sharp smile on his face and Lucien nodded as well.

"NONSENSE! I am sure the emperor just let him go... Lucien had acquired the inheritance of three different god beasts, do you think two inheritance can compare to that? He was obviously merciful on the old death god!" Klaus said with a frown, refusing to believe Derik was actually that strong.

Seeing many nod their head in agreement, Klaus even felt more assured in his theory. He refused to believe that Lucien who is the shield of the empire is inferior to someone.

"You are wrong!" Lucien said as he leaned on his fist with his chin and carried an expressionless face.

"In all aspects, I am inferior to Derik Angus... I would have avenged the late emperor right there if I could but when I was about to make a move, I saw something..." Lucien said.

"What is that?" Many asked making Lucien chuckle lightly.

"Death" Lucien said, sending chills down the spine of everyone that heard him.

Hearing this, these people were sure that Lucien was inferior to Derik and they wondered what would happen if Derik ever considered destroying this empire for the Libet empire. Will they be able to resist his advances?

"Don't be stupid... I didn't say I'm weaker than him... I simply said I am sure I will die if I fight him... But that doesn't change the fact that I feel invincible right now... If I were to go against him, I wouldn't lose... We might as well end up killing each other" Lucien said making many tremble with excitement.
