Chapter 178: Derik Angus appears

The youth was completely naked but he didn't seem to care. On his back was the image of a mighty Phoenix, surging with enough power to make people tremble. It made people believe that the emperor had two sources of power!

Landing gently, the emperor gazed at the massive earth dome and frowned. He watched the earth crumble and within it was a water sphere causing a small smile to appear on his face. Soon the water sphere collapsed and the last layer of defense was the countless golden shields surrounding them created by Ballad.

"Bravo!" Emperor Fei laughed lightly with his vicious intentions in his eyes as he watched the last layer of defense crumble, revealing those within.

The clan heads were all alive but they all suffered intense burn damage, causing their whole body to get covered with blisters. When gazing at the young naked emperor, all they saw was a little demon! There was nothing natural about the long, red-haired youth with razor-sharp teeth and blood-red eyes.

The youthful version of the emperor reminded them of the undefeated young man who conquered this entire region with his strength alone! A man they feared and yet today they turned against him, thinking his age may have affected his abilities.

How stupid are they?

They must have forgotten why this man was once called the Phoenix emperor back then!

He is immortal!

He is the first man that fought against his god beasts spirit avatar and defeated it, going ahead to make its abilities his!

In their opinion, Emperor Fei was the closest thing to a god in the living world back then!

Was it because he had become too docile, that's why they felt they could win?

Did they mistake his silence for weakness?

They were dragged back to reality by the bright silver light shooting towards them!

Striking the ground violently, Lucien's silver robe and hair fluttered gracefully as he turned his attention to the youthful naked red-haired teen. He had heard about the immortal trait of those from the Hayato clan that has managed to form a powerful link with their god beast but this is the first time he's seeing it.

"Emperor?" Lucien asked with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Hehehe! What's leaving you speechless… my stunning looks or my large rod down there" Emperor Fei joked making Lucien's face turn red with embarrassment!

He wished he didn't as in the first place and quickly pulled out a black mage robe from his omini pocket zone before focusing on the badly wounded clan heads. Seeing their conditions Lucien couldn't help but tremble in fear! He knew how powerful each one of these people are, yet the emperor was able to put them in such a sorry state.

"I know, I'm also shocked… They had to work together at a time like this… if it wasn't for that, they would all be dead!" Emperor Fri said with an annoyed face.

"If only they were this cooperative when the empire needs them" Lucien said and the emperor nodded his head.

"Can I?" Lucien asked and the emperor simply nodded in agreement

Lucien began gathering bolts of black lightning creating a massive ball of black lightning above his head. His eyes were completely black as his clothes fluttered violently, even the emperor acknowledged the power of this technique.

"Not only will it destroy the body, but it will also obliterate the soul as well… Your combat technique is as scary as always" Emperor Fei commented with a smile but then he froze.

Even Lucien who was preparing to finish off the enemy was momentarily stunned as well. They could feel the chilly hands of death on their shoulders, causing them to turn around quickly only to watch as the space tore open.

From it, a youthful pale-skinned man walked out calmly. He was covered in wounds, bleeding from both his eyes and ears but it was black blood! One thing that caught Lucien's attention was the fierce green eyes! These are a pair of eyes he is unable to forget! The same one he saw when they called that name.

"Your gods are strong… Unfortunately, I am stronger" The man said slightly, striking fear into Lucien's heart instantly!

"GET BACK!" Lucien growled as he launched the massive black lightning sphere at this man but to his greatest surprise, this man only slapped it away, as if it was nothing!

"You?" Lucien wanted to speak but then he noticed he was hurt by Lucien's attack, the back of his palm was bruised.

At that moment countless chains shot out from the ground and the skies, latching on to Derik. The intense pressure coming from him kept reducing rapidly while he struggled but he couldn't break free!

"Do you think you can hold me down? When I am done consuming that child I will consume you as well!" Derik growled madly while he struggled.

Just as he suspected this god vein was much stronger than theirs so its restrictions were far much harder for even a realm protector like himself to break! He could feel his power rapidly dropping, from realm protector to god realm to demigod realm and finally the gold realm

[A/N: The gold realm is a cultivation realm in my first work, Legendary Guardian .. Derik is our MC there so its only natural I use the realms he is used to]

"This much?" Derik muttered in shock.

He expected his power to be reduced when he invaded another god vein but what he never expected was that the god vein would be able to suppress his powers this much. Well, it didn't matter much since all he had to do now is consume Lucien and kill the emperor of this empire, fulfilling Blink's promise to the humans of this world. Even if he were to go against a demigod, he is still confident he can win against them!

Meanwhile, the Emperor and Lucien kept gazing at Derik with shocked expressions on their faces. Everything that happened between Derik and the world was just completely strange, making it difficult for them to comprehend!
