Chapter 216 - SIDE STORY: Siji Lost Control!

Nataya grinned as she successfully blocked his attack. He didn't use his spiritual power to attack her, but he used it to block them from the others. That way, her friends wouldn't be able to interfere with their fight. Not even that advisor of hers.

He watched as her gaze turned sharper and serious. There was no fear or hesitant like she used to have in her eyes. She was ready to take on his challenge, but Nataya couldn't predict anything about her.

"You've grown up." He said while grinning excitedly.

"Thanks." She shrugged her shoulders but Nataya could sense that she had not lowered her guard even just for a bit.

"Do you still have any strength to fight with me? Surely that human over there couldn't possibly tire you out, right?" Nataya took a glance at the young man and his advisor who were watching at them with bewildered eyes.

"Actually, I'm a bit sleepy and I was just about to head home for a nap. I even thought of a way for my advisor to go away so that I could take my time sleeping peacefully. But, thanks to you… I can't do it now." She smiled and said it through her gritted teeth.

Her eyes flashed with annoyance when she looked at him. They were really similar, Nataya thought. When Ajeng was deprived of the thing she liked the most too, she would bare her fangs at him with annoyance clear on her face.

The memories of their small banter made his heart warm and his excited eyes turned soft.

With the same expression in front of him, he couldn't help but reminiscence about the old days. He found Jane more pleasing to his eyes and his initial displeasure towards her because of her age and incapability to lead the army was changed into something familiar.

As Nataya was still drowning in his memories, outside the barrier were three hopping mad men. Sanji and Tom were yelling curse at him, shouting at him to break the barrier. Siji, on the other hand, had anxious look on his face. He tried to feel the barrier to break it and save Jane. However, no matter how much power he used to break it, it didn't budge at all.

The memories when he would always fail to protect the previous Master of White Army triggered his trauma. His fear that he would bring bad luck to the Master overwhelmed him bit by bit. Slowly, he lost his composure, especially when Nataya started attacking Jane with ferocious attacks.

"STOP IT!" Siji poured his power towards the barrier, trying hard to break it. The ground was shaking as the impact of him using his full power against the barrier created by the Devil.

He didn't want to see another Master died in front of him again. The last time it happened, he thought he had got used to the feeling and that he wouldn't feel frustrated by his incapability to protect the Master. He thought because of his bad luck that the masters died.

Then, Jane came. He thought she would be another victim to his bad luck. But, Jane persisted and Siji thought that he could protect her, help her to be a great Master.

However, she was snatched right in front of his nose. Anger, frustration, and fear gnawed at his hearts. He didn't want anything happen to Jane. He wanted to prove that he was not a bad luck.

While Siji was lost in his fear, Sanji and Tom put all of their power to help breaking the barrier. Helplessness was clear in their faces. How could they let anyone take Jane in front of their eyes? They were failure at protecting the one they loved the most.

Obviously, these three men were drowning deep in their own thoughts and fear that they failed to see the fight carefully.

If only they could put more trust in her and watch her closely, they would notice that Nataya didn't have any intention to hurt her.

Instead, Nataya was giving her some pointers while they were engaging in an epic fight. The amount of spiritual power display was not as grand as when Jane attacked Rasha, but it was even denser than and as exhausting as the one before.

Jane's movement turned even more smoothly without any unnecessary moves in it and every hit would carry powerful effect if it landed on someone's soul. Nataya's eyes flickered in astonishment at how fast she could grasp his teaching.

As the result, he attacked even more fiercely. He wanted to know how far she could hold on. Even when his barrier was under attack, it didn't hinder him at all. He kept moving faster and fiercer.

Every second passed and he thought that Jane was an awesome human. She could really endure his attacks for this long. Even though her expression had changed and showed some difficulties when she fended off his attacks, she still refused to stop or beg for mercy.

Until one moment where Nataya's punch brushed her cheek and created a cut on her fair cheek, they finally stopped moving. Jane's breathing turned labor and she maintained her body to stay in the same pose for several second. Her hand that had touched Nataya's abdomen was still buzzing with her spiritual power.

Nataya had stopped his attack, she had no reason to keep attacking either. However, since they had been fighting ferociously like two beasts, Jane still felt a bit overwhelm to start moving right away. Nataya's fist was still near her cheek and drop trickled down her cheek.

"You're getting better." Nataya smiled and he waved his fingers towards the wound. The wound closed instantly and the blood disappeared.

"Thanks." Jane smirked. "Now, if you excuse me. You've made my friends worried sick." Jane straightened up herself and took a long glance at the other side of barrier where Sanji, Tom, and Siji were exhausting themselves to break in, only to meet with failure over and over.

Nataya evilly smiled. "You are a lot calmer now than back then."

"Because I know you won't hurt me. There might be some misunderstanding back then and I have been thinking about it a lot." Jane felt her cheek where the stinging pain greeted her before. But, the pain had disappeared and she couldn't feel any wound on her fair cheek.

"Well, you human friends need to train themselves more to be able to match you. Your Advisor, however, if he can let go of himself and stop blaming himself, he will gain lots more than his millennium experience and power." Nataya nodded at them and the barrier around them disappeared.

As soon as it disappeared, the three of them pounced on him like wounded beasts. This time, Jane moved to the side, giving them the space to fight to their heart content.

Nataya was still put on solemn expression even though he was surrounded by three men with big power, attacking him from all angles.

As expected of the Devil King.

Jane watched them closely. Waves of spiritual power filled the air as they exchanged blows after blows. The sky filled with sparks of the clashes between them, creating a rather beautiful scene, if one could overlook the fight under the light.

In the corner of Nataya's eyes, he could still see the girl was starting to get drowsy. Smirking slightly, he flicked his fingers and expected to see the girl toppled back with red forehead. But, when he saw her smiling slightly with her eyes closed tight, he knew he was bound to fail.

Jane only moved her head slightly, tilting to the side, and whatever was flicked towards her had gone passed her.

Nataya chuckled. She was able to dodge it meant that she was mostly ready to meet the other Masters. She wouldn't be dragged down by those old geezers and eccentric Masters of the other armies.

"Let's end this. I'll accompany you guys to play some other time. See ya!" He waved his hand, blocking all three of them at once, with a grin on his face. After that, he casually jumped and his body disappeared in a flash.

"I'll chase after him!" Siji was just about to catch up to him when Jane opened her mouth and spoke.

"Just don't. Even if you can catch up to him, do you think you can beat him?" Jane opened one of her eyes lazily. The three of them had dark expression as they realized what she said might be true.

"Let's go back! I want to sleep a bit longer for today." Jane lazily yawned as she stood up and coolly opened up the curtain. Then, she stepped onto the human realm and walked away as if nothing had just happened.

Sanji and Tom had no other choice but to follow her while Siji was still clenching his fist in frustration.

Obviously, they all forgot about the existence of the Master and Advisor of Cloud Army. As the Advisor of the Cloud Army, the grey robed old man had obviously had more experience and had witnessed lots of people with amazing power.

However, it was the first time he was left stunned. His eyes didn't leave Jane's figure ever since he watched the amazing fight between Jane and the Devil. He really had never seen anyone who could fight as beautifully and deadly as her.

Not to mention the dense of spiritual power emitted from her body. It was terrifyingly formidable that he felt a bit suppressed by it.

Another one who was overwhelmed with Jane's display of power was Rasha. He had seen her showing off her 'magician' skill, but he thought that she would be weaker in physical strength. However, no matter how he thought about it, from the way she was fighting with the man in black, she didn't show anything about 'being weak'.

Instead of fear, reverence started to grow in his heart. Jane was so amazing that he wanted himself to be like her. He wanted to have that kind of power, too. One day, he promised himself that he would challenge Jane again and he would make sure he wasn't running away like today.
