36 One Sided Love.

Walk into an emergency unit, he asks the counter about Jiang Ying Yue's details to the nurse at the station.

"She's in room 8, 8th floor. VIP room." The nurse said after she gets the information about the patient.

"Thank you." Ren Zhi went to the elevator and go to the 8th floor. When he reaches at room number 8, he slowly opens it. She was laying on the bed with the saline tube inserted in her arm.

Creak!

"Mmm..mom?" She asks without opening her eyes.

"No, it's me, Ren.." He said and take a seat beside her bed.

She startles a moment and turns her body around. Not dare to face him.

"What happens? How did you end up in the hospital?" He asks worriedly.

"Umm…nothing Ren..if you wanna check on me, I'm okay. You can go home." She tries to control her voice to sound normal.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

She nods her head.

"Erm.." He looks at his watch.

"I stay here with you tonight. After all, my family also not at home and now is already starting to semester break so my dorm will be less student. So at least I had someone I can talk to.. if you want to tell me anything, you can tell me. you know." He moves to the big couch inside the room.

Ying Yue did not say anything. She clenches her fist tightly on her chest.

'How can I tell you when you already found someone? How can I tell you that I love you since we were kids? How can I tell you that all this while I was waiting for you to fall in love with me? How can I tell you that I've been enduring this heartbroken for twice! Twice Ren! How can I tell you all this??!'

Back in their childhood days.

"Yueyue, this is Ren. Uncle and auntie Zheng's son." Jiang Ying Yin smiles to her daughter.

"H..Hi.."

She was eight years old that time and Ren Zhi was ten when they first met. They met in a foreign country. Her family happens to bumps with their old friend.

After that day, she often comes to his house with her family. It is whether he comes to her house or she comes to his house.

Their family had really a good relationship. After two years, they decide to get them two engaged. Even though they're still a child at that time. They supposed to hold a wedding when he finishes his study and take over his father's business.

As a girl who never set eyes to other boys other than him will surely deeply in love with him. She thought that he will do the same to her since he already is her fiance. Who would've thought that he never feel the same way as her?

At the springs season, he asks to meet him under the Sakura tree after school. She was so excited, thought he will confess his feeling to her but then..something that unexpected happen.

"Yueyue."

"What is it? Don't make me nervous Ren. Hurry up, say it." She said with a hopeful expression.

"I…I will tell my family to break off the engagement between us."

"What?" Her face turns a bit pale.

"We don't love each other, so I can't force myself to love you and you also can't force to love me right? It's better if we cut the ties. After all, I already fall in love with someone."

"I…" She gulps a bit before she continues again. Suppress all her feeling inside. "If you already have someone you like then I won't force you to love me. I will take note that you already have a girlfriend. However, just don't cut our relationship it like that. We're still in high school. Our parent will surely not agree with this sudden decision. Let's cut it official when we grow up. At least, when we decide it, we already an adult and they will somehow understand and respect our decision, right?"

Thinking for a moment about what she said, he finally agrees. "Yeah. That sounds good too."

"..Yeah.."

"Oh, Yueyue, I introduce her to you next time okay?"

She nods and put on a smile on her face.

Just after she returned home and went to her bedroom, she cries for the whole week. Her eyes were swollen pretty bad. Her voice was so horsed. When her family asks what happen she only said that she gets her period and mood swing.

She had a heartbroken for months and she thought that eventually, her feeling will fade away.

Three years later, she heard a piece of news about Ren Zhi breaking up with his girlfriend. He was so frustrated and even try to kill himself.

Luckily she was near his place when he wants to commit suicide. She was able to save him and seeing him in a weak condition, her heart breaking apart. She hates her. She hates that woman who makes him like this.

She did try to find her. But that girl already returns to her country. His family did not know about him trying to commit suicide. He seals himself from anyone. Including her. The only friend he had that time is Xui Li. Xui Li is the middle man between him and her.

She gets his news from Xui Li and even contacts him through Xui Li. Xui Li is really a reliable friend they had that time. After almost a year, he finally returns back to his original self.

That's when she decided to make him only see her. To make him fall in love with her so that he will not having a heartbreak like the last time. Accept the destiny that has been decided by their parents. So thoughtless of her to think it that way.

Just when she wants to make a move on him, there's another girl who stole him from her grasp again. This time the girl he has fallen in love is very plain. Not as beautiful as before. Not so soft like before, not as smart as before and clearly not as wealthy as the three of them. However, she had very kind eyes, she's so energetic when she met her and that girl able to make him draw again. She was able to make him draw something beautiful again.

And that's what makes her heart broke again. The day she went back from the exhibition, she did the same thing as she did like before. Crying and lock herself up in the room. Blaming herself for not having the courage to tell him her feeling.

This time, she was so desperate and she tries to kill herself by taking a sleeping pill with a large amount. If her servant did not notice, she might already end up in a grave.

She doesn't want his sympathy, instead, she wants to end all of her feeling toward him. She wants to move on, but her heart was so stubborn.

'What should I do to end all of these feelings? Dear god, help me!' She cries in silent when Ren Zhi already fall asleep on the big couch.

Xue Mei looks at her watch. It's already 12 am. She had to take a long way to return to her dorm. The rumor about a scary old building makes her scared to use a short way to the dorm.

When she went upstairs, she saw Xui Li also just return back. He was on the phone and did not notice that Xue Mei was behind him.

"Aww~ baby, come on..are you sulking right now??" He chuckles.

"Okay…I'll come tomorrow. Be sure to treat me a good meal. I have been missing your cooking, your smell..ermmm…can I sleep with you tomorrow?"

Xue Mei's eyes turn wider. Her mouth also makes a shape 'o' widely. Her heart racing like hell. 'Wait! Why do I keep feeling this weird thing?'

Laughing, he said again. "Okay okay..I'll see you tomorrow. Love you. Muah!"

He turn to his side when he heard a sound of clicking.

"Uh….hi.." She says awkwardly.

"Xue Mei? Did you listen to what I just talking earlier?" His face also turns a bit pale.

"Huh? No..I was busy texting Ren..is there something that you want me to hear?" She smiles at him.

"No." He shakes his head and opens his room door.

"Okay~ good night Xui Li."

"Good night Xue Mei."

Both of them went inside their room.
