37 I Wanna Go Home

"Babe, I'm sorry I can't send you to the bus station today. I need to wait until the doctor's done with the examination." Ren Zhi said with a gentle voice through the phone.

He wants to send Xue Mei off to the bus station, but at the same time, he also can't just leave Ying Yue like that. She had no family who can support her right now. His family also currently at the outside of the town. Thus she only has him to give her support and cheer her up.

"Its okay Ren. I'll use the apps to find the ride. Don't worry about me. Just take care of her until she able to return home."

"Okay, I VC you tomorrow?"

"Erm…how about I VC you when I arrive? My hometown is quite far you see. Even I take a bus, it at least takes two days to arrive at my place."

"Hmmm…I seriously will be missing you a lot."

"Yeah. Me too. Just take care. I'll see you again after the semester break."

"Right, I'll see you again." He said and ended the call after that.

"You know, you can go. My condition is stable right now. I had my servant who can attend me." Ying Yue said after Ren Zhi sit at the chair beside her bed.

"Hm, no. I'll wait for you here until the doctor says you can go home." He insists on staying.

Pinch her forehead, she turns around and covers her body with the comforter.

When she was asleep, the nurse calls him to the doctors' room for discussing her condition.

He knocks on the doctor's door before he went inside.

"Mr. Zheng, have a seat please." A middle-aged doctor around his forties said politely to him.

Take a seat in front of him, the doctor started. "Ms. Jiang condition actually is quite worst than it looks. She had depression a few years back and last year she seems a bit improve and then suddenly she is now trying to commit suicide. This is not a matter that we should treat lightly. I can't get through her family. Thus, it's only you who can try and talk to her. She needs our support mentally. Maybe there is something that makes her or triggering her to act like what happened yesterday. Luckily she was rush to the hospital if she was late a second, I don't know if we still able to save her or not."

Ren still focusing on what the doctor said. He noticed about her changing mood and the way she reacts. But he doesn't know what's makes her turn out to be like that? What happens to her that makes her having a depression?

"For right now, I suggest to not let her be alone. Monitor her and don't make her sad or stress. Once she tries to commit suicide, there's another possibility she will try it for the next and the next time. You need to always be ready."

"I understand." He stands up and leaves the room after he finishes discuss with the doctor.

"What happened to you, Yueyue? Why did you wanna commit suicide?" He murmurs before he went back to the room.

He sends a message to his family that she just having a fever. He did not want to worry both of the family. Maybe after he knew what's the reason and when she ready to tell them, he will stand beside her. Even though he does not have any special feeling for her, but she still his childhood friend and she always there for him. He wants to repay her kindness with at least his support.

Xue Mei checks on her phone. There's still no car around the bus stop at the front of the campus. She starts to worry. Her bus ticket is at 8 pm, now it is already 7:10 pm. And there's still no car available around her area. Not only that, there is no single bus nor a taxi too.

"Urghh…come on.." She almost crying. This is the last ticket for today and it only had one trip in one week.

Honk! Honk!

She turns around and found that Luo Hui driving her electric car. She rolled the window and lift up her eyebrows.

"What are you doing? There's no bus around here. Come in, I send you." She unlocks the door and the trunk.

Xue Mei immediately went to her car trunk and get her luggage into it before she went to the passenger seat.

"So, where to?" Luo Hui asks.

"To the Imperial bus hub station."

"Okay." She starts driving. Not long after they stuck at the traffic jammed.

"Sorry Xue Mei, we should use another road since this is the peak hour." She said apologetically.

"It's okay. I should also need to go out early before." she looks at her watch again. It is 7:40 pm.

"Erm, how far is the station?" Xue Mei ask.

"There! You see that sphere shape building? That's your destination." Luo Hui shows her the bus hub station.

Looking at the building, she inhales and says again. "Okay, thanks sis Luo. I will run to that building now." She opens the door and went to the trunk.

"Are you sure you wanna run there?" Luo Hui asks her again.

"Yeah. Thanks. I'll see you again after spring break."

"Okay! Be careful." She shouts when Xue Mei already starts to run.

She carries Elle inside her backpack and she lifts up her luggage. Luckily she did not bring too many things inside her luggage.

Huffing loudly, she went to the counter for check-in. But once she arrives, the girl at the counter said that the bus just took off five minutes ago.

"Sorry miss, the bus already take off from the platform."

Thud!

She drops her luggage with disbelief face. She shakes her head and looks at the girl in the counter.

"How about next week? Is there any ticket left?"

With a bit guilty, the girl said, "Erm..sorry miss..the ticket is fully booked until June."

Thud!

This time, she was the one who kneeling on the ground. "No..." her eyes start to teary a bit.

"Miss? Miss are you okay?" The girl at the counter feels so sorry to her.

Stand up with her wet eyes, she carries her luggage while the onlookers look at her full of the question in their mind.

She sits at the bench near the platform glass automatic door. Cover her face with both of her hand, she crying like someone just die. She doesn't care if the people keep looking at her right now.

"Xue Mei?"

She lifts up her head when she heard a familiar voice call her name.

"Xue Mei, why are you crying?" Xui Li went to her worriedly.

She stands up and hugs him before she burst into tears again. The onlookers start to look at the two of them like there were making some sort of drama right now.

Pats her back of the body, he says with a gentle voice.

"Shh…what happen? Tell me."

"I….I….I wanna go home…" she stuttered and hiccuping a bit.

"Okay…so, what's the problem?"

"I miss the bus….and…and…the ti..ticket was sold out...I wanna go home… I wanna go home…"

Xui Li caress her hair softly. "Okay...I get it. It's almost 9 pm right now. Our campus is a bit far from here. How about if I bring you to my home first and then we find a way for you to go home tomorrow. Okay?" He tries to calm her down.

"I wanna go home…"

"I know I know..I'll get you home. Right now, let's go from here first. People are watching us like we're making some drama right now." He still holds her and grabs her luggage. They went out of the bus station to the basement parking.

He took out his car keys and unlock the car.
