28 She's So Hyper

"You. Why didn't you tell me about your fiance?" Xue Mei turns to him with a crossing arm around her chest.

Hold both of her shoulders, he smiles to her. "Sorry. I totally forgot to tell you."

"Fine, then tell me now." She still a bit sour because of what happened.

"Yueyue is my childhood friend. Our family is the best friend since their college days. So, my mom comes up with an idea to let us both engaged. She was well aware that I had no feeling at all toward her. Even so, we still continue to get engaged just to satisfy our parents. Once I graduate, I will introduce you to my family and break off the engagement with her. I promise you." He caresses her cheek gently.

"Ren, I come from a very ordinary family. Is your family be able to accept me?"

"Are you afraid they will not accept you?"

She nods her head.

"It'd be fine. I am their only child."

"Okay.."

"Ouch!" Ying Yue shriek a bit when a black guitar bag hit her back of her body.

"Sorry sorry... Are you okay?" Xui Li immediately turn his body around.

"Eh? Xui Li?! Feng Xui LI?" Ying Yue's eyes lit a bit when seeing him in this Art Exhibition hall.

"Oh! Yueyue..long time no see, how are you?" He smiles at her.

"Well, as you can see.." She twirls around while smiling.

Xui Li laughs a bit "Beautiful as ever, I guess."

"Aww...Don't compliment me too much..or I'll end up falling in love with you later."

"Erm...please don't fall for me. I couldn't even compare to your beloved fiance at all." He's joking.

"Ah~ that fiance of mine already gets himself a girlfriend." She sighing.

"Yeah, I know..." Xui Li also sighing.

"So, did you come here to see Ren's art?"

"Yup. How about you?"

"I already visit his booth. I had to go back to my university after this. So, Xui Li..see you around again." She hugs him a little and waves goodbye to him.

He then continues to walk around the hall and once he saw Ren's and Xue Mei's booth, he plastered a smile on his face.

"Hi, guys.." He waves his hand to both of them.

Turning her body around, Xue Mei was so happy and surprise to see him. It's been a while since last she saw him.

"Xui LI!" She went to him and hugs him like she's missing him so bad.

"Whoa, easy girl. Your boyfriend might kill me after this." He wants to hug her back but he knows his limit, so he could only clench his fist tightly.

"Xui Li, where have you been this past month?" Ren Zhi pulls Xue Mei slowly to make her move to his side.

"Sorry, I didn't tell you guys that I went to LA and practice for my performance for tomorrow." He smiles and went inside his booth.

"Ah..that's the reason why I can't get through your phone." Xue Mei said and follow Xui Li from behind.

He just smiles and looks at the drawing. "It's beautiful."

"Thanks."

"When they will announce the result?" He turns to Ren Zhi.

"On the closing ceremony."

"Oh yeah, all student need to find a partner for the closing night dance. Tsk! Damn, I forgot to ask the girls to be my partner."

"You still have time, the closing ceremony is in a few days more." Ren Zhi pats on his shoulder.

"Hmm..you're right. I need to bring a cutest and prettier girl from my department." He giggles a bit before he continues again.

"So, I want to go strolling around the exhibition first before I go back to my campus, do you wanna join me, Xue Mei?"

Nod her head, she said "Yes yes..erm, Ren...can I go?" she turns to look at Ren.

"You can..but don't take too long." He slips her strands hair behind her ears and Xui Li divert his eyes elsewhere.

"Aye aye, sir." She salutes to him and grabs Xui Li's arm before they went to other booths.

"Hey, Xue Mei.." Xui Li took a glance to her while she was looking at another student's art.

"Hm?"

"Did you..really love him?"

"Who?"

"Ren.."

"Oh...hmm, yeah.."

"I see."

"Why did you suddenly ask?" She turns her head to him.

Smiling, he ruffles her hair. "Nothing. Just curious. You both are my friend and as a friend, I don't want you to be hurt."

"If you want to tell me about his fiance, I already know. He told me about it and don't worry. I think we're fine." She smiles at him.

"Hmm..that's good then. I hope he tells you more."

'Yeah, I hope he tells you about her. Someone who you should be careful of.'

"Erm, Xui Li...I want to see that booth." Xue Mei points her finger to one booth which is caught her eyes.

"Let's go then."

Once arrives at the booth, Xui Li greets Athena, senior in the Art department.

"Senior." He bows his head a little.

"Feng. Long time no sees." She said politely.

"Yeah, It's me who busy until I had no time to come to the Art department."

She smiles and turns to his sides.

"Hi, which booth are you in?"

"34."

"Oh..Ren Zhi's partner?"

Xue Mei nods her head.

"So, what is the title of your project, senior?" Xui Li touch one of the ancient pillars sculpt by Athena.

"Goddess of spring."

Just after she said that, a girl who just looks like her come out with her face which is has been makeover by Athena. She makes her looks like an ancient goddess from Greek myth, Persephone.

"Oh! My! Goodness! This is so amazing!!" Xue Mei smiles widely after seeing her. She makes it look so real and yet the goddess was so beautiful. The booth is decorated with a four giant pillar and they had a real flower. Space and set up looks like they are totally in ancient times.

Almost all the student turns to look at her after she was shrieking. "Whoa Xue Mei, don't shout." Xui Li stop her from jumping around because she was so happy and excited.

"Who is this?" A girl with a goddess costume asks Athena.

"She's my junior."

"She's so hyper."

"Come on Aur, don't say something like that. She just happy to see you so beautiful with this attire." Athena pats her twin sister shoulder.

"Hmm.." She turns around and stands on the lowered stage made by Athena. She does her job as a live mannequin.

"CanI have a picture with her and you? Please~" Xue Mei try to persuade Athena with a puppy eyes.

She smiles looking at her cute face. 'Very immature.'

"Sure."

Xui Li take out her camera and start to take the picture of Xue Mei and Athena with her 'art project'.

He smiles looking at his camera. It's full with her photo.
