24 Legendary Ghos

"Ergh.." She stretches up her body a bit. She was just done with her sketching.

"Tired?" Ren Zhi asks and he went to behind her back.

Nods her head, she says "Yeah. A little bit."

"Stay still." He places his hand on her shoulder and rubs it slowly.

Xue Mei flinches her body when suddenly he touches her shoulder.

"Relax," He said again. His voice was so close to her ears. Her heart starts to pounding.

After massage her shoulder for about fifteen minutes, he asks again.

"Feel okay now?"

"Mhm..yeah..thanks.."

"Alright. It's already late. We should return now." He went to his canvas and place it inside his car trunk. Luckily his car is quite spacious to put all his thing inside his car.

After they packed and ready to go, suddenly the light from the side road turn off and that makes the only light they have is from his car.

Xue Mei feels a bit scared by the sudden occurrence.

"Xue Mei, set the GPS on the dashboard, please. I couldn't see the road. The mist is too thick." Ren Zhi said slowly. He also feels a bit uneasy. It is also almost 1 AM and they are in the mountain area.

Xue Mei immediately touches the screen on the dashboard and try to set the location. But the GPS system seems to lost his signal and the radio started to change its frequency by itself.

"Damn. We should return earlier." Ren Zhi murmurs and turns off the radio and GPS system.

"Ren..now what should we do?" Xue Mei's voice starts to tremble a bit.

"Can you try and call Xui Li?" Ren still focusing on the road. This road in this mountain is a bit slope and many dangerous corners. If he can't properly focus in the front, their life might be at the stake.

Xue Mei took her phone and try to contact Xui Li. At first, she heard a ringing sound but then the ringing stop and change with the buzzing sound. The more she tried to hear, the more clear the sound of a woman weeping.

Her hand trembles and she is so scared right now. Her face turns pale and she turns to look at Ren Zhi. She shakes her head. "I can't call him."

"Shit." He curses. He tries to calm her down by holding her hand while another one steers the wheel.

Suddenly, Xue Mei's eyes caught a glimpse of a woman walking at the side of the road. She wearing a red qipao with a red umbrella covering her face.

"R…Ren..there's a woman.."

"Shhh…don't say anything." He interjects her before she could finish her sentence.

"Maybe we can ask…"

"No. We can't. I've seen her so many times before. Every corner I turn I keep seeing her. So don't say anything else." He interjects her again.

This time, she almost crying because of the fear she felt right now. "Ren…I'm scared."

"Yeah, who don't?" He also a bit frightened right now. But he tries to act calm or otherwise they both might end up in a bad situation.

Just after he thought that, suddenly his car engine starts to make a weird sound before it totally can't move at all.

"Ren.."

"I know..calm down. I turn on the light and emergency light."

He took out his phone and try to call Xui Li again, but as earlier, his call also got interrupted by 'that' thing.

He tries to send a message after that.

His car shake as something big just landed on his car roof. They look at the roof and not long after they heard a creaking sound. Like something scratching the car roof.

Screeetttttt….

"Ren…" Her hand trembling so hard holding his arm.

"Shhh…" he tries to make her silent. Worried that thing would show her face.

Bam!

Something hit the front windscreen.

"Aaaaahhhh!!!" Xue Mei yelled when she saw something like a woman face stick on the windscreen with a lot of blood.

She takes off the seat belt and crawling to hide at the back passenger seat.

"Fuck!" Ren Zhi also shocked as he throws his phone to the windscreen and went to the back after Xue Mei.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The loud sound keep continues to hit the car from above, front, back and at both side.

Ren Zhi lay on the seat while hugging Xue Mei who covering her face on Ren Zhi's chest. She was so terrified and heart was beating like hell.

They stay in the same position until it was 5 AM.

Suddenly both of them hear Xui Li's voice from afar and his voice keep close to their spot.

Knock! Knock!

He knocks on the window glass and tries to see inside the car since Ren Zhi's car is tinted with black color. He came with a few villagers to the mountain.

"Xue Mei!" He calls her name.

After confirming that it was Xui Li's voice, she immediately sits up and opens the car door.

Jumping to him and hug him tightly and trembling.

"Xui Li." she sobs.

"It's okay..I'm here." he pats on her back and turns to look at Ren Zhi who also just went out from the car. His face looks so pale and his appearance looks a bit messy.

"How do you know we here?" He asks after a moment.

"Xue Mei didn't return to the dorm after 2 AM and I try to call your cell phone so many times. I track her location. Luckily there are a few villagers who want to perform morning prayer so they offer to help me to find you both."

He then thanks the villagers and they went down following Xui Li at the front who ride a bike.

All along the way returning to the dorm, both of them did not say anything. Both of them lost in thought and lost their spirit.

After dropping her to the dorm, he went back to the boys' dorm.

Xui Li help Xue Mei to get to her bed. Went inside her room, the image still lingering in her mind.

Looking at the info and the story of it. He was sure that they both have been disturb by the legendary ghost of that mountain. They say in 50 years before, there's a woman who was supposed to get married that day but she was abandoned by her husband in that mountain and she gets raped by a few men before they kill her to cut her into 8 pieces and disposed her body at the eight different places.

Since then, her ghost has been wandering around the mountain trying to find its missing bodies. They also said that the men who raped her that day has been found dead in a horrible way. Her husband also has been found murdered by his new wife.

Since then also, many people who want to go down the mountain late after 8 pm will surely get disturbed by her. Most of them can't find a way to the main road and that is the reason why even that mountain had a very nice view at night, no one will go there after 8 pm.
