84 Oncology Departmen

A few weeks have passed.

Like always, Ren always busy with his 'matter' and the winter festival theme has been release out by the department. This time, the theme is 'Shade'. Many student sighing and complaining after seeing this news.

Shades is a bit difficult to illustrate and sometimes, your artwork will collide with each other. As for Xue Mei, she also feels a bit worry this time. How they want to find something that indicates 'Shade'.

She took out her phone, want to make a call to Ren, discussing this winter project with him. While she was passing the cafeteria, she unintentionally heard a few senior says something about Ren.

"Hey, did you notice? Master Ren always went out with his ex-girlfriend. They also went to class together. Are they get back together?" Student A said with his excited face.

"No way! I still see a relationship status on Xue Mei's account. So, he still with Xue Mei." Student B reply to him.

"Then, is he cheating on her?"

"Whoa, guys..last time, I saw they walk together to the Imperial Hospital. Do you think they have done something? Like..you know, getting her abortion?" Suddenly student C interrupting both of student A and B.

"Hey..that's not possible, okay? As I said, he still in a relationship with Xue Mei. And they have already been together for almost a year."

"Okay...I get your point, but you know..a guy like him, who we all know how their loves story before Xue Mei, will never reject such a goddess body like Ha Eun, right?"

"Yeah..right.."

"Urgh..you guys are useless." Student B growled.

Xue Mei turns around and pretends to not hear a single thing from that conversation.

She tries to call him. But his phone is unavailable. 'Urgh..where is he?'

She stomping and went to the workshop, doing her assignment that she needs to present after this.

After her class finish, she went back to the dorm. Like usual, she wants to go to the part-time job but then the conversation that she heard just now keep repeating on her mind.

"Damn, this is ridiculous." She calls Risa after that.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Risa..could I ask you a favor?"

"What's up?"

"Uhm, can I borrow Mr. Takashi for a moment?"

Risa silent for a moment before she says. "Okay. I call him now."

"Thanks, Risa. I love you!"

"Yeah yeah. Bye!"

She ended the call and she sends a text to Xui Li after that. Saying that she can't come to work today and not to wait for her.

A few seconds later, Xui Li reply to her an 'Ok'.

She decides, she wants to go to the Imperial Hospital. She wants to know where Ren Zhi and Ha Eun go actually?

Fifteen minutes waiting, Mr. Takashi arrives in a black car.

"Hello, Ms. Xue Mei." He said politely.

"Hi, Mr. Takashi. It's been so long." She smiles at him.

"Yeah, somebody forgets that I exist." He smiles.

Laughing, she gets inside the car and asks for Mr. Takashi to send her to Imperial Hospital.

"Hi, may I know if there's a patient named Ha Eun here?" She smiles at the nurse in the information counter.

"Full name?" The nurse asks.

"Erm.." She tries to remember Ha Eun full name. "Choi Ha Eun?" She tilts her head a little.

"Hold on a sec." The nurse then types on her keyboard.

"Erm..we have one outpatient with a name Choi Ha Eun, she's in the Oncology department. Building B, in the west wing." The nurse said.

"Thank you." She smiles at her.

Return back to Mr. Takashi which is waiting patiently at the lobby, she sits beside him.

"Erm, Mr. Takashi..if a woman need an abort..uh, I mean check on pregnancy matter, what department they will go?" She asks.

Blink his eyes a few times, he holds both of her shoulders. "Ms. Xue Mei, did you…get pregnant?"

"Huh??" She dumbfounded by the question.

"If so, tell me who is this father of your baby? I make him take the responsibility!" He said with a firm.

While the people surrounding them already look at their direction with many kinds of expression on their face

"Uh..calm down, Mr. Takashi." She pats on his hand and looked at him.

"It's not me. I still..um..pure." She said slowly.

Hearing those, he sighed in relieve. "Thank god. So, why did you ask, Ms. Xue Mei?"

"Curious. Hehe.."

"Oh," He rubs his chin thinking a moment where did he always bring his wife when she does her checkup. "Um...I think it's the O&G department."

Nodding her head she tries to remember back what department that the nurse said earlier.

'She's not in O&G department, but Oncology? What department is that?'

Stand up, she says to Mr. Takashi. "So, can you wait for me here? I need to find someone."

"Okay." He lifts an 'ok' finger to her.

She winks at Mr. Takashi and went to the elevator.

"Building B, West Wing." She tries to remember the direction.

Ding!

She went out of the elevator and start to ask a few nurses there a way to go in the right direction.

After 10 minutes, she finally arrives at the right department.

"Finally." She huffing a bit. She went to the counter and ask again about the patient name.

"Aw..she just left with her boyfriend. Are you her friend?" The nurse asks.

Again, Xue Mei was dumbfounded by what she just heard. 'Her boyfriend? Or my boyfriend?'

"Y..yeah..can I know when she will come again?"

"Dear, she comes every day. Around 3 pm to 8 pm and sometimes, she will stay the night here. Depends on her med" The nurse smiling at her.

"Oh…" She was surprised to hear that.

'What kind of illness she had?' turn to the nurse, she smiles and says thank you.

On her way out, she looks at many patients who sit on the wheelchair or walks wearing a cover to at their head, a bit pale and so thin.

She lowers her gaze and went to the elevator.

Inside the elevator, there's a patient from the same department as Ha Eun, she's a young girl with a lollipop in her hand.

"Hi, how old are you?" Xue Mei waves her hand to the girl since the girl keeps staring at her.

"12."

"Oh, still young. Did you also a patient from Oncology department?" She smiles.

"Mm. Lung cancer. Stage 2." She grinning while showing her two fingers.

"L..lung cancer?"

"Yeah..everyone in that department is a cancer patient. You didn't know?" The girl blinks her eyes a few time to her.

"I..I just know it now. Hehe." She tries to laugh even though it's sound weird.
